The_Donald on Reddit has been quarantined. Some of you know this, some may not. I’m hoping to shed a little light on why before the response to it gets out of hand.

While many of these social media organizations are absolutely trying to find ways to completely silence any and all support for Trump online, in an effort to make it look like nobody supports him, the reaction of Reddit today appears to be just that: a reaction. A reaction to a Media Matters report about a few threads on The_Donald where some posters posited the idea of shooting police officers that might try to physically bring Republican state lawmakers in to give the Democrats of Oregon a quorum in order to push through some pretty questionable laws.

The point in this is not about that. It is about the calling for police officers to be shot if they act on the Governor of Oregon’s orders. Whether or not there is a substantiated right to defend by force, if necessary, against police enforcing unconstitutional things, pointing at a person or a group and saying to shoot them is incitement to violence, not protected by the Constitution. Reddit’s rules reflect that. The_Donald’s rules reflect that. Practically everywhere has rules that reflect that, and from long before the current trend of social media corporations putting their thumbs on the scale.

Some posters at The_Donald got upset, understandably so, but posted before they thought about what they were posting. I’ve done that myself plenty of times, so I understand that. But other posters on The_Donald failed to report what they said as violations of a pretty clear rule. The media found out those comments were on there and ran with it.

Considering the thousands upon thousands of comments in just hours on The_Donald, it is impossible for moderators to catch everything without help. The same is true on a smaller scale here on the Treehouse. Think before you say something stupid. Report something if you think it is breaking rules. Let someone else figure out if it actually breaks rules, but don’t think for a minute that the Left, who wishes to silence all of us, will show any amount of understanding for “a few” comments that don’t get caught. They actually plant things, so anything that actually sticks, they are ready to call the media about.

It was a handful of people who said some pretty dumb things that got The_Donald quarantined and threatens to get it banned. Don’t give the Left any excuses to silence platforms like that. Think before you post. At the very least, do the unpaid moderators of places like TD and here a favor and not make their job harder.

Treepers are usually pretty swift to shut down anyone who calls for violence. I don’t see it happening very often. We also have the best moderators in the world, who take out a lot of trash.

If you see someone promoting violence against an individual or group, don’t hesitate to call them out.

It doesn’t matter because they will find one little thing, anything, and use that to destroy. It’s the same as individuals prosecuted for “process crimes”. In other “subreddits” people call for the death of others frequently. You can only imagine the threats hurled at police, the President, his family, conservatives, and others – regularly. This website has none of that either way but it doesn’t matter because nothing stops the leftist.

I remember reading WordPress banned some of their “websites” or however you phrase it a few months back on here. If you rock the wrong boat, if too much attention falls on you; it will come here it is only a matter of time. I don’t know WordPress like I do Reddit but I know leftists and they will stop at nothing.

I love to read such great thoughts from really great people. It’s so sad to see what the internet has become because of the left. We have to stick together.

We’ve been dealing with trolling and inappropriate comments designed to make us look bad for a very long time.

            This is nothing new.

What is new is the urgency and desperation on the part of the actual companies to silence us.

Keln is simply reminding us that the enemy is among us, and to be on guard. It’s common sense.

We must police ourselves, moderators can’t do it all. The censorship is ramping up, we need to be on our toes.

I’ve been on the internet since I was 12 years old. I’m now almost 40. Those early days had vicious trolls and unspeakable things were said in places like AOL chat rooms. The simply rule of thumb was you didn’t take anything seriously because everyone was anonymous. It was like the Wild West. Now the tech overlords are trying to civilize the place, but their version of Utopia means destroying free speech. The trolling is just as bad as it always was, it’s the response to it that has gotten worse.

We need to keep playing the game, even if it’s rigged.

This is a naive assessment of what is going on. That community was targeted, just as many other conservative voices have been (and will continue to be).

      • Keln says:

It is not naive. It is with full knowledge that T_D is targeted. It is known that “special rules apply” to The_Donald. It is known that certain elements within Reddit would love to get rid of The_Donald. But none of that is the point of what I wrote, nor is any of that a factor in what happened today. What happened today is that some pretty lousy comments went unmoderated for too long and the Left caught them and reported them to media outlets. Media Matters wrote a story about it and Reddit had to react. That they like reacting or not is irrelevant.

It was the poor behavior by a few people that put The_Donald at risk of banishment. It’s not fair, but life is not fair. The point of my talking about this is to warn people to think before posting and to explain the direct cause of what happened. I am in no way naive about the bias against The_Donald, I can assure you.

We are all facing a critical time in which free speech is being squelched at every chance. It is up to us then, no matter how unfair it may be, to not give those who would censor us any excuse to do so. We can still speak our ideas as long as they stick to their current rule sets. They have already begun to ignore their own rules to silence people, and eventually the rules will change or be ignored altogether. But until that happens, don’t give them easy ammunition.

It is known that The_Donald users regularly get death threats and private messages asking them to kill themselves and their entire family.

It is known that there are numerous Liberal subs that constantly, all day long call for violence.

It is known The_Donald is highly effective in spreading Conservatism to the younger generation and Liberals hate that.

It is known that The_Donald get’s “brigaded” by shills who post racist and violent content pretending to be Trump supporters.

          • I briefly explored Reddit and fairly-immediately discarded it. It was fairly-immediately obvious that they were no longer the web resource that they claim to be, and maybe that they started out as – before the first round of “media buyers” no doubt bought them up. So, I gave them not a second thought since then, and never will again.

“Hey, plenty of great ideas took hold during the first few great years of the Internet, and those sites gained a lot of traction. But, when new owners change the rules of the game, that traction disappears.” Facebook and Twitter are, by the way, well on the way to discovering that. @TheRealDonaldTrump can easily go elsewhere …

“Media Matters wrote a story about it and Reddit had to react”

That is ridiculous. Media Matters (leftist owned) wrote a story about Reddit (china owned) and they had to react. Where have I seen this before…

The_Donald has over 750,000 people and that number is flat out a suppressed lie and is more likely over millions. To single out a few supposed comments and ban a message board with supposedly “Hundred of thousands” (millions) of users while Facebook, literally and figuratively, gets away with murder is so pathetic and obvious. Facebook gets away with murder on their platform; and POTUS supporters get targeted, suppressed, and eliminated.

How about Youtube/Google, which has tons of disgusting child predator and straight pedophile content on it’s platform for anyone to view, do they have to react? Does Facebook react? Instagram, Snapchat, Reddit, they were all in the tank against us and you can bet they have a lot of “hate” – do they have to regulate their hate? No?

No we ban conservatives. Thought crime. It has nothing to do with “hateful” rhetoric. Reddit is filled with hate. While I understand you “get” that they are censoring us; to even give a slight semblance of credence to their methods is infuriating to me.

Let me put this in a way that some of you not grasping this can understand. It is a game of goalpost moving. To trap us. To have an easy way to silence us. They would not need an easy way to silence us unless they felt that necessary. But they can only continue to put a lousy cardboard prop up claiming they are unbiased if they at least have tiny reason to silence someone. If they just start silencing anyone with a voice they don’t like, people will see that and that’s the end of Reddit.

So we move with the goal posts and continue to deny their satisfaction of getting rid of us.

            It’s really that simple.

      Keln,

The whole problem with accepting your explanation is that it allows any provocateur from any “sub” to jump in and post crap and thereby get the action taken.

The Left/Dems do a whole lot of that type of action/reaction – allow even a single provocateur to control an entire sub/website/conversation/forum/etc.

Thusly, I do not accept that reasoning – it’s designed to get you and me to accept that any provocateur can be sent in to allow an excuse to censor.

Not only that – but it gets folks like you (that appear to accept that rational) to lecture the non-provocateurs with thoughts like, “Think before you post”.

All it take is a sent-in provocateur to allow the censorship, and “we” are supposed to blindly “buy” the reasoning. Puts the burden and blame on “us” when it isn’t necessarily the case.

I DO NOT ACCEPT THAT RATIONAL

It’s not about accepting blame. It’s about being careful. Unless you run the platform you have to abide by other people’s rules, and they might not be fair. Rather than get kicked off or have your forum shut down, posters should just not be excessively outrageous. I have seen inflammatory comments here that really should have been removed (and maybe they were later, I don’t know).

            Like

          • Keln says:

My motives are twofold. First, to apprise my fellow treepers of what is going on, from the perspective of someone who actually knows what is going on. And second, to give a warning about providing our enemies (that would be the Left) ammunition with which to hurt us.

It’s not much more complicated than that. The only guilt available for you to assume is guilt for saying things that break the rules of whatever platform you happen to be on at the time.

I am not sure why this is such a difficult thing for some of you to accept. If you want to keep a website or a subreddit or a youtube channel going, you have to play by their rules, no matter if they are fair or not. And I am making the case that playing by the rules instead of just leaving is justified by the fact that our voices on mainstream sites is more important than our voices silenced just because we object to their treatment of us.

Pragmatism seems dead among many who I agree with politically. It seems there is this attitude to “not stand for it” at all costs, instead of using it to your advantage. It’s rather foolish to think that way.

And I would point out, for those like me who believe the concept of being responsible for one’s own actions, that YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR ACTIONS, INCLUDING YOUR SPEECH.

So if you get a site shutdown because you were not moderating your speech to fit the rules of that site, then yeah…you are to blame. Sorry if that hurts your feelings. (Not sorry actually).

It is for all of those people who aren’t one of us to see it. Let those seeds plant in their brains a bit. Maybe change their minds about some things.

Absolutely, Trump and his team could make entire social networks. They can afford it and they can do it. But those social networks would be populated by supporters…and not much else. The regular joes and janes out there would not see anything on them. Already established sites like the ones I mentioned are the only way, currently, to get our voices into the mainstream.

But the whole purpose of having a place to do arm us and equip us to ride out into the world fight the good fight.

Right now, fighting the good fright means taking truth and logic and plastering it all over social media. It is our job to counter the propoganda and lies with truth and humor. We need to convince others to join the cause. This is what the Donald does so well.

But the second one really gets me; almost all the Tweets on my timeline lately have been from foreign countries and totally unrelated to any topics I would write about. So i have to take the time to eliminate what’s there and then go get my propaganda stuff and Retweet it. The censors decide what they will allow you to eliminate by “Blocking” it. There is a double standard when it comes to application of the rules, as well as media reporting, when it comes to Reddit. I am in no way denying that.

You have to learn how to operate within the confines of the situation you are in. That is the point of my message. Hopefully, we can change those confines some day. But until then, it is important to keep operating at all costs, rather than being silenced.

They were set up. Trolls posted the “violent ” comments in order to begin the process of shutting The Donald down permanently. They currently have two posts up of how it was done in 2016 and another with the latest incident. There are much more “violent” sub Reddit s that never get quarantined or censored.

The evidence suggests that the majority of people who posted such comments were routine posters on The Donald. They were people angry about the situation in their state, and they said rather inflammatory things in that vein, which is understandable. However, it breaks the rules, other pedes did not report them, and those comments stood long enough for the media to do a touchdown dance over it.

To be fair… not as cut & dry as it’s being made out to be. There’s a couple things at play here. One is an ongoing issue (since 2016) of coordinated attacks by paid shills posting controversial/ racist/ violent comments. They quickly document this, just before it’s noticed & deleted. They then go to other forums & post it saying, “See, T_D really is…”

When caught in the act, they get “deported” by mods/ via regulars reporting. If you go on most any thread, you will see “deleted” comments in the mix. And they are constantly contending with shills, who are paid to bash, downvote (to keep positive PDJT/MAGA related topics off the front-page), a/o falsely report topics they don’t like.

Further, MediaMatters just ran an article 2-3 days ago on this exact issue– if you don’t know MM political agendas, you should. It was soon followed by a VOX post by someone with a known vendetta. And the Story was circulated in a few other FAKE News outlets. Eventually it gets circled back to Reddit admins. So just another version of a familiar tactic… creating > feeding > recycling of needed narrative/information– to pretend it legitimizes.

The overall objective is to shutdown a forum that considers itself a “24/7 Trump Rally” –before 2020. They have some known members who post material there (Justice Watch’s Tom Fitton, Ben Garrison, etc…) CTH links are also routinely shared.

There are some current threads there now, explaining it better than I can– if interested.
The biased Political censorship needs to be stopped. Do try to reminder to keep an open-mind… The actual facts often tell a very different story by the end.

I don’t deny that there are shills who purposely try this stunt. I have personally “deported” quite a few. But the story that the Media Matters article highlighted was on a post from a couple days ago, so the fact that the article itself was from the same amount of time doesn’t prove anything other than someone tipped them off as it was happening.

Pedes did not report it. That is why the mods could not see these few comments to get rid of them. That is the actual story and the reason for my post. People read the comments and did not choose to report them. That is the problem here. That, and most of the commenters were regulars who just made a single bad post talking about killing cops. It wasn’t shills doing it, who are easily identified and removed.

The mods didn’t drop the ball. They were never given the ball in the first place. That is the issue.

They were detained on Tuesday morning local time and deported in the evening.

Four men with suspected ties to the Islamic State (IS) group were arrested in Nicaragua after crossing illegally from Costa Rica, officials say.

The identities of three of the men matched those in an alert attributed to US officials saying three suspected jihadists were in Central America.

There were fears they could have plans to try to enter the US, reports said.

The four, aged between 26 and 41, included two Egyptians and two Iraqis. They have been deported to Costa Rica.

The men entered Nicaragua through an unauthorised crossing point known as La Guasimada near the southern municipality of Cárdenas, Nicaraguan police said (in Spanish).

They were detained on Tuesday morning local time and deported in the evening.

Whoever the Dem’s anointed one is we should be able to tell because they will pick up where this tweet string ends and run with it for their election narrative which the press has probably already drafted up their story lines.

It’s just how they roll 🙂

    • The strategy that the (must read …) Epoch Times article refers to, very probably is the “last gasp straw” that Nadler & Co. right now probably are grasping. This is what I would refer to as the “section (e)” offense.

Many statutes – such as those defining “Obstruction of Justice” – often begin with several sections (a), (b), (c) … which refer to specific examples which have occurred in the legislative past. But then they often conclude with some sort of “section (e)” which tries to recapitulate and wind-up the ideas expressed previously.

The problem, of course, is when “section (e)” is lifted from its context … or, shall we say, moved to become “section (a).” In,the specific case of the Mueller Report, you might be found guilty of obstructing a case that hasn’t occurred yet, so long as you imagined that it might and – according to who-knows-who – might have dreamed of obstructing it.”

Or, it might simply be “corrupt intent.” For example: “how dare you(!) fire my BFF, Mr. Comey?” Since I disagree with you (and, so does Mr. Comey), I simply need to conspire with a few other people to assert – according to me – that “your intentions were corrupt,” and therefore that you deserve to be dumped from the White House.

It is indeed very strange the extent to which overpaid lawyers will go, when neither they nor their clients are capable of understanding “elections.”

There is no humanitarian crisis at the border. That is a Democrat talking point and it is a lie.

There is no natural disaster there. There is no mass starvation or disease there. People are traveling to that location and committing crimes there. Like most crimes there is an element of danger. Some people deliberately choose to commit crimes and to place themselves in a dangerous situation. That is not a humanitarian crisis. It is a crisis of failure to control an international border, ie a national security crisis.

The humanitarian crisis is throughout the United States. It is displaced workers. It is bankrupted hospitals, schools, and municipalities. It has outstripped the housing supply and reintroduced once eradicated contagious diseases.

The crisis at the border is a national security crisis. Defending international borders is not a law enforcement matter, it is a military matter.

    The Swamp Identified ?????
Let’s follow the trail. Everyone needs to read this. Slowly, and patiently, because it’s very important!

Here’s what it looks like when all the pieces are sewn together.

It smells like conspiracy and treason.
From 2001 to 2005 there was an ongoing investigation into the Clinton Foundation.
A Grand Jury had been impaneled.

Governments from around the world had donated to the Charity.
Yet, from 2001 to 2003 none of those Donations to the Clinton Foundation were ever declared.
Hmmm, now you would think that an honest investigator would be able to figure this out.
Guess who took over this investigation in 2002?
    None other than James Comey.
Guess who was transferred in to the Internal Revenue Service to run the Tax Exemption Branch of the IRS?
Your friend and mine, Lois Be on The Look Out (BOLO) Lerner.
It gets better, well not really, but this is all just a series of strange coincidences, right?
Guess who ran the Tax Division inside the Department of Injustice from 2001 to 2005?
No other than the Assistant Attorney General of the United States, Rod Rosenstein.
Guess who was the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation during this time frame?
I know, it’s a miracle, just a coincidence, just an anomaly in statistics and chances, but it was Robert Mueller.
What do all four casting characters have in common?
They all were briefed and/or were front line investigators into the Clinton Foundation Investigation.
Now that’s just a coincidence, right?
Ok, lets chalk the last one up to mere chance.
    Let’s fast forward to 2009???..
James Comey leaves the Justice Department to go and cash-in at Lockheed Martin.
Hillary Clinton is running the State Department, on her own personal email server, by the way.
The Uranium One issue comes to the attention of Hillary.
Like all good public servants do. You know, looking out for America’s best interests. She decides to support the decision and approve the sale of 20% of all of the US’s Uranium to no other than the Russians.
Now, you might think that this was a fairly straight-up deal, except that it wasn’t: The American People got absolutely nothing out of it.
And they’re investigating president Trump for collusion?
However, prior to the sales approval, no other than Bill Clinton traveled to Moscow, got paid $500K for a one hour speech, and then met with Vladimir Putin at his home for a few hours.
    Ok, no big deal right?
Well, not so fast: the FBI had a mole inside the money laundering and bribery scheme.
Guess who was the FBI Director during this time?
Yep, Robert Mueller, who even delivered a Uranium Sample to Moscow in 2009.
Guess who was handling that case within the Justice Department out of the US Attorney’s Office in Maryland?
    None other than, Rod Rosenstein.
Guess what happened to the informant?
The Department of Justice placed a GAG order on him and threatened to lock him up if he spoke out about it.
How does 20% of the most strategic asset of the United States of America end up in Russian hands when the FBI has an informant, a mole, providing inside information to the FBI on the criminal enterprise?
Guess what happened soon after the sale was approved?
About 145 million dollars in donations made their way into the Clinton Foundation from entities directly connected to the Uranium One deal.
Now guess who was still at the Internal Revenue Service working the Charitable Division? None other than, Lois Lerner.
Ok, that???s all just another series of coincidences. Nothing to see here, right?
    Let’s fast forward to 2015.
Due to a series of tragic events in Benghazi, and after the 9 investigations, the House, Senate and at State Department, Trey Gowdy who was running the 10th investigation as Chairman of the Select Committee on Benghazi discovers that The Hillary ran the State Department on an unclassified, unauthorized, outlaw personal email server.
He also discovered that none of those emails had been turned over when she departed her Public Service as Secretary of State which was required by law
He also discovered that there was Top Secret information contained within her personally archived email. (Let’s not forget at least 10 CIA spies in China were killed by the Chinese because of the leaks, and God knows what else occurred.)
Sparing you the State Departments cover up, the nostrums they floated, the delay tactics that were employed and the outright lies that were spewed forth from the necks of the Kerry State Department, we shall leave it with this. They did everything humanly possible to cover for Hillary.
Now this is amazing: guess who became FBI Director in 2013?
Hint: he secured 17 no-bid contracts for his employer (Lockheed Martin) with the State Department and was rewarded with a six million dollar thank you present when he departed Lockheed.
    None other than James Comey.
Amazing how all those no-bids just went right through at State, huh?
So he’s the FBI Director in charge of the Clinton Email Investigation after, of course, his FBI Investigates the Lois Lerner Matter at the Internal Revenue Service and exonerates her.
Nope we couldn’t find any crimes there.
    So what happened next?
In April 2016, James Comey drafts an exoneration letter of Hillary Rodham Clinton, something he had no authority to do. Meanwhile the DOJ is handing out immunity deals like candy.
They didn’t even convene a Grand Jury.
Like a lightning bolt of statistical impossibility, like a miracle from God himself, like the true Gangsta that Comey is, he steps out into the cameras of an awaiting press conference on July the 5th of 2016, and exonerates The Hillary from any wrongdoing.
    Can you see the pattern?
It goes on and on. Rosenstein becomes Asst. Attorney General; Comey gets fired based upon a letter by Rosenstein; Comey leaks government information to the press; Mueller is assigned to the Russian Investigation sham by Rosenstein to provide cover for decades of malfeasance within the FBI and DOJ.
    And the story continues.
FISA Abuse, political espionage, pick a crime, any crime, chances are this group and a few others did bringing new meaning to the term organized crime.
    All the same players.
    All compromised and conflicted.
All working fervently to NOT go to jail themselves
All connected in one way or another to the Clintons.
They are like battery acid, they corrode and corrupt everything they touch.
How many lives have the Clinton???s destroyed?
As of this writing, the Clinton Foundation, in its 20+ years of operation of being the largest International Charity Fraud in the history of mankind, has never been audited by the Internal Revenue Service.
Let us not forget that Comey’s brother works for DLA Piper, the law firm that does the Clinton Foundation’s taxes.
And the person that is the common denominator to all the crimes above while doing her evil escape legal maneuvers at the top of the 3 Letter USA Agencies? Yep, that would be Hillary R. Clinton!
    Who is Lisa Barsoomian?
Let’s look a little into Mrs. Lisa H. Barsoomian’s background.
Lisa H. Barsoomian, a US Attorney who graduated from Georgetown Law, is a protege of James Comey and Robert Mueller.
Barsoomian, with her boss, R. Craig Lawrence, represented Bill Clinton in 1998.
Lawrence also represented: Robert Mueller three times; James Comey five times; Barack Obama 45 times; Kathleen Sebelius 56 times; Bill Clinton 40 times; and Hillary Clinton 17 times.
Between 1998 and 2017, Barsoomian herself represented the FBI at least five times.
You may be saying to yourself, OK, who cares? Who cares about the work history of this Barsoomian woman?
Apparently someone does, because someone out there cares so much that they???ve ???purged??? all Barsoomian court documents for her Clinton representation in Hamburg vs. Clinton in 1998 and its appeal in 1999 from the DC District and Appeals Court dockets.
Someone out there cares so much that the internet has been purged of all information pertaining to Barsoomian.
Historically, this indicates that the individual is a protected CIA operative. Additionally, Lisa Barsoomian has specialized in opposing Freedom of Information Act requests on behalf of the intelligence community.
And, although Barsoomian has been involved in hundreds of cases representing the DC Office of the US Attorney, her email address is Lisa Barsoomian at NIH gov. The NIH stands for National Institutes of Health.
This is a tactic routinely used by the CIA to protect an operative by using another government organization to shield their activities.
It’s a cover, no big deal, right? I mean what does one more attorney with ties to the US intelligence community really matter?
It deals with Trump and his recent tariffs on Chinese steel and aluminum imports, the border wall, DACA, everything coming out of California, the Uni-party unrelenting opposition to President Trump, the Clapper leaks, the Comey leaks, Attorney General Jeff Sessions recusal and subsequent 14 month nap with occasional forays into the marijuana legalization mix. And last but not least Mueller’s never-ending investigation into collusion between the Trump team and the Russians.
Why does Barsoomian, CIA operative, merit any mention?
BECAUSE ??? She is Assistant Attorney General Rod Rosenstein???s WIFE!
    That’s why!
Get this information out to everyone you can!
It is jaw dropping, shocking and extremely sad that this info has never been exposed!
Do your part in plastering this information everywhere it’s bullet proof and cannot be blown off by leftists and will convince many not paying attention that we have a soft coup happening now.
