CALGARY, Canada — The “Green New Deal” proposed by congressional Democrats is a “recipe for mass suicide” and the “most ridiculous scenario I ever heard,” Greenpeace Co-Founder Patrick Moore (shown) warned in an exclusive interview with The New American. In fact, Dr. Moore warned that if the “completely preposterous” prescriptions in the scheme were actually implemented, Americans could be forced to turn to cannibalism to avoid starvation — and they still would not survive. Other experts such as Craig Rucker, the executive director of the environmental group Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow (CFACT), also sounded the alarm about the “green” proposal in Congress, comparing it to Soviet five-year plans and calling it a “prescription for disaster.”
Moore, who was one of six international directors of Greenpeace, was flabbergasted that something so ludicrous could even be proposed, much less be advanced in the U.S. government. “It is quite amazing that someone that is in government — actually elected to the government of the United States of America — would propose that we eliminate all fossil fuels in 12 years,” he said in an on-camera interview with The New American from Canada. “This would basically result, if we did it on a global level, it would result in the decimation of the human population from 7-odd billion down to who knows how few people.” It would end up killing almost everyone on the planet, he added.
Worse than mass death would be the way people reacted. “It would basically begin a process of cannibalization among the human species, because the food could not be delivered to the stores in the middle of the cities anymore,” Moore continued. “The point that bothers me the most is that if you eliminated fossil fuels, every tree in the world would be cut for fuel. There is no other source for heating and cooking once you eliminate fossil fuels. You could use animal dung, if there were any animals left, but the animals would all die too because they would all get eaten.”

This is stupidity but it’s also very dangerous. Imagine our foreign enemies–they are salivating over the stupidity.
The Trump Administration is not going to engage in or tolerate the ‘good old days’ when HRC sold uranium to the Russians and pocketed a tidy sum for their foundation. Or when ‘O’ sold oil drilling rights off our coasts to foreign countries while shutting down American production.
When Democrats run this country, enemy nations have their way with us. Enter two propped up Islamic women elected to Congress with primary interests in Somalia and Palestine and unmasked hatred for Israel. Enter Puerto Rico/NYC’s version of the Democrat Braying Ass and she’s fed extreme talking points that if even a portion were to be enacted, would bring our economy to a standstill. Notice they handpicked a young bespeckled girl with a childlike voice and small in stature. How dangerous can she really be, right? After all, she is so naïve she needs prompting to clap and stand at SOTU’s.
The dirty secret the Left won’t talk about is their keen knowledge of the untold wealth of our energy reserves. What does the Left love more than even death? Money. Do we really think they will just let that oil, gas and coal lie quietly and never be unearthed?
These asinine ideas of ending fossil fuel use are a total lie being told by a conga line of siren singers. They are hoodwinking our young, ignorant people. They are selling them the fake climate change garbage that life will end, according to some moronic 29 year old, in 12 years. They are relentless to get this BS legislated. As soon as they accomplish that and figure out the people are uprising against them and there’s no money to buy anybody off anymore, they will start selling, selling, selling. Every drop of oil, every asset, every big, polluting skyscraper will be sold. American prosperity, wealth and the efforts of hardworking middle class people for 250 years will be hauled off by foreign enemies.
Sitting in the wings will be HRC and BHO, coaching them on how to make sweet deals for themselves while selling the rest of us out.

The Green New Deal is the equivalent of an environmental Jump Day. It is so ridiculous on its face that it is hard to believe it is not a gigantic, tongue-in-cheek joke. That it is not, but is a serious proposal that is taken seriously by supposed serious people with real power to act on it, is frightening but not particularly surprising, given our stubborn refusal to permit the final disposal down the memory hole of Marx, Freud, Darwin, Heidegger, oh never mind.

Coming from Greenpeace – one of the founders of the globalists’ sustainability agenda.
No one proposing this deal ever plans to implement it. The Green New Deal, like all other “crisis-based” environmental/energy policies is yet-another wealth-transfer and taxation scheme designed to centralize power into the hands of a few.
Just like Greenpeace, America’s left intends to use this for votes, implement the taxation and regulatory schemes then screw us even more.
What bothers Patrick Moore is that this exposes his con game too.

I highly disagree with the ideas this guy is putting forward in this article,as below he lumps Israel and Iran together as foes of Iraq, besides the fact he is making up a lot of this.
“But in the 21st century it would fight an un-country. The view in 2003 Baghdad could not have been more different than Washington’s. Saddam understood his state wasn’t a country in the Western sense. His primary concern was “internal threats, both from disaffected segments of Iraqi society and from prospective insider coup attempts by Ba’ath Party rivals or the Iraqi military. Saddam’s secondary concern was regional threats, Iran and Israel foremost among them. The threat posed by an American-led coalition ranked only third on Saddam’s list of dangers to his rule” (vol. 1, p. 84).”

Why don’t we do the same thing to reduce the hospital expenses associated with people on Medicare or Medicaid or Tricare for Life (for military retired).
Let’s just cut down the available hospital beds to, say, 20% of their current number . . . then there will be no hospital beds available and that will significantly reduce the hospitalization expenses.
Yeah! That’ll do it! Thanks, Dimms! Really great idea. Imbeciles!!!

Big Psych Hospital here (residential) has a Ward cut whenever the legislators want to save $1M on an annual budget.

I agree with you, but the pro-invasion people like to point out that technically the FIRST “unauthorized” entry has been reduced to an administrative violation, thus eliminating the criminal aspect of it. The second unauthorized entry is a crime though one wonders how we would ever know they had been here before if they never were caught.
This is simply wrong IMHO.

We need to face the reality that Trump is a phenomenon, a blip in history, and that the trend for the western world is downward, that Leftism is a powerful and relentless force, a social virus for which no treatment has so far taken hold, and that no consolidated movement to support and/or restore western values exists from within the establishment. In short, when Trump is gone in two or six years, it’s all going to sh*t, and at a speed and violence that will make your head spin.
Now that the economic foundations of MAGA are secure (at least for Trump’s term(s)), Trump’s goal now should turn to a dedicated effort to demolish Leftism in every form, from the media to the educational system. He should be grooming an army of young proteges and surrogates to mount a public information/propaganda campaign against Leftism/Socialism unlike anything seen in our history, one which would put March of Dimes and War Bonds to shame.
It would be his greatest legacy. MAGA, for all its ephemeral splendor, will survive 3 to 6 months under a Leftist president. Gone like the wind it will be.

The hysterical radicals know that the current ‘leadership’ in the swamp, is aging and will not always be around. This is, in my opinion, where they are starting to set the stage for future platforms, and ‘they’ know they cannot be truly crazy since a lot of the left won’t accept their radical ideas. This is their morphing platform, to where the ideas will ‘mature’.
We need to be vigilant and continue the momentum towards our founding ideals. And we need to keep tabs on the one ‘from’ MN and the other ‘from’ the Bronx.

No. We are that force and we need to understand that Leftism/Socialism is not our enemy – it is a tool of our enemy.
Plato summed it up simply – people are natural slaves or they are freemen. Tyrants know this and throughout history take the fruits of labor from freemen to provide a perception comfort and protection to their natural slaves. That is the source of power. It is always a bloody cycle when the freemen rise up.
America’s Republic has the foundation to balance prosperity and liberty for freemen. It is up to us to remove the central bankers and globalists. Trump gave us one last chance to do that – if we look to a benevolent king to save us instead of doing it ourselves, we are no longer freemen.

Interesting 2016 article here: http://time.com/4252373/meat-eating-veganism-evolution/
As a new study in Nature makes clear, not only did processing and eating meat come naturally to humans, it’s entirely possible that without an early diet that included generous amounts of animal protein, we wouldn’t even have become human—at least not the modern, verbal, intelligent humans we are.

It looks like Trump is going to cave again on all the important things. All because he is obsessed with the stock market. Please prove me wrong. Readers here will not like this post but I try to do objective analysis – good or bad. and this is my best projection at this time. Hoping to be proved wrong.
1) Budget deal in principle has NO money for a WALL. It only allows short bollard barrier money that anybody can climb over without a ladder. And it reduces the number of beds for criminals. This is a worse deal than the Republicans had a month ago. It was all announced and timed just to boost the stock markets last night. If Trump signs this he is showing he is abandoning the wall for the stock market. Will he OK this and then declare emergency? Not likely to declare an emergency if he is going to run into more resistance and legal hassles and hits to stock market..
Maybe better details will come out but this deal is very very bad and Republicans caved it nearly all in. And then said Trump would like it and sign it to boost stock markets.
2) China trade deal is no deal in the making. It looks again like Trump will cave and just extend things. There is no deal to be made. Never was any “deal” to be made. Any “deal” will destroy China economy and China will not allow that. All public chatter with a few misleading crumbs to come to sooth people.
Trump has to force China to behave. And he is not because he is afraid of hits to stock market and economy short term. He missed his time to go with 25% tariffs 3 months ago. Now all he thinks about is the next election and saving the stock market as earnings projections are starting to fall.
Bottom line:
I still strongly support Trump because he is still the best and only one trying these things. But he has become more politician than business dealer and is more and more afraid to own the downside to do what is right on his toughest two issues – Wall and China.
If he signs this really bad budget deal, then he has lost a lot of his mojo and risk taking.
If he allows another delay in raising the 25% tariffs, he has lost most of respect from China and they win as it will be harder for him to get the tough respect back with China.
The next few days will be telling. And March 1 for sure.
Please prove me wrong Mr President. Do what is right and not what is best for stock market. The stock market is likely to crash in 2020 anyway. Let it crash in 2019 and clear in 2020.

We took it to mean that the wall would save us money somewhere from what Mexico gets from us. Either it would be from foreign aid reduction, fees on monies people send to Mexico, and/or savings in monies we lose due to bad trade agreements. It would have been absolutely ridiculous to think that he meant that they’d write a check for it. So, while I think you make some good points, what you say about Mexico paying for it shows that you are expecting something unrealistic.

they do not want these invaders anymore because they cant afford to care for them, well maybe if that’s not paying for the wall I dont know what is, He never said that Mexico would just hand him a check but he did say that sooner or later they would pay for it and thats what they are doing, and The Dam wall is being built some people just cant see that’s what happening but new wall is going up and how sad that you cant see what he is doing He has tried to make sure the people coming across are stopped but he can only do so much with all the dam idiots who are standing in his way

Lou, once money is allocated to the executive branch the president may use it appropriately, I.e. he can use defense money for national security projects like the wall. Moreover, how much of a dim bulb does someone have to think Mexico was going to write us a check to use to build the wall? You’re being ridiculous. PT never said Mexico would PREPAY for the Wall, he said they will pay for it, and they willunder USMCA and other vehicles.

Too many of you long time Trump supporters forget that we elect a President, not a King.
Even with a GOP Congress, he could not get funding for more physical barriers to address illegal immigration.
There are still too many in the GOP who are “NeverTrump” and working hard to block him.
And wanting him to do things to crash tne economy betrays your blindness to reality. He has achieved a great deal despite the continuous Resistance. But elections ARE politics, and our very system of government requires political skills and considerations to function.

I’m in total agreement with you in that we have for a hundred plus years been allowing this evil to assume more and more control over each area of government. Our Bill of Rights is now more like a bill of maybes. Do I expect the American people to suddenly be able to discern the hearts of those receiving our votes. No I don’t. Therefore I have no expectation that our problems will be solved by more voting. Did I expect more from the president? Yes I did. I believed that he had a superior ability to negotiate or barter to achieve his objectives. Is congress to blame? Of course, but he was well aware of their intransigence when he made his promises. The point is, we’re in deep trouble and doing more of the same will not work.

I do understand your concern, and at times we ponder how Trump can succeed against the Globalists/Uniparty/Leftists, the odds are stacked against him, right?
I think Trump is continually testing the Swamp D.C. … to see how he can keep exposing it and putting pressure on and off, and softening up his opposition. Think of martial arts, it’s a series of counter-moves, and using the enemies motion against themselves.
I think you are thinking , Trump says something, and everybody fights it at first, then he does ONE counter-move and Trump wins! Very childish approach in my opinion. How to effect change is much, much slower, … until the enemy surrenders because all his moves have been defeated. Then Trump will be gracious , and help America be number one.
Trump is NOT Jeff Sessions, or Wray, or any of the corrupt GOPe! Trump is an OUTSIDER with ONE Purpose , to help America get back on track. And Trump has to work with Slime in D.C. and other countries agenda’s too.
Hey, we probably agree, Jeff Sessions let us down, and Trump did share OPENLY that Jeff Sessions let the president down.
Also the GOPe the last 2 years let Trump down too.
BUT I don’t see Trump giving up, but adjusting to things the way they are NOW, and also, gaining momentum , in next battle and battle after that.

First, you sure stimulated some discussion!
Many believe President Trump was sent by God. Two thoughts. Within my Christian faith, I feel we were ALL sent by God. Secondly, again within my religious belief, no one knows the heart of God so although we would LIKE to think President Trump is a divine emissary, we simply don’t know that.
The budget. I have not heard that President Trump has signed it. So while reasonable discussion about it can be a healthy exercise, statements such as “looks like Trump is going to cave again” is pretty much setting foot on a bridge that is not yet in sight.
China. The Chinese are definitely “long game” strategists. As I’ve observed how President Trump approaches dealing with them, it seems he recognizes this and is using it against them. His “extensions” of tariffs make President Xi look weak, The Central Committee will not put up with a weak head and, in my very unlearned opinion, will take steps to relieve the situation. They may replace Xi (unlikely, I think) or fall in line with U.S. demands.
I simply don’t believe President Trump takes actions with the stock market uppermost in his mind. To be sure, many of his actions may benefit Wall Street, but his track record to date doesn’t indicate it’s his first concern.
Hope you have a great day!

Russia Declares State Of Emergency After Northern Islands Invaded… By Polar Bears
A state of emergency has been declared in a remote Russian settlement on the Polar archipelago of Novaya Zemla after more than 50 polar bears recently rolled into town in search of food, and started wreaking havoc for the locals.
People are fearful of going outside since the aggressive bears are more than capable of mauling a human to death.
This has made daily life in the arctic village even more difficult.
Residents of the remote village are “afraid to go outside” and “daily life is in turmoil”, according to Aleksandr Minayev, deputy head of the local administration.
“Parents are wary of letting children to go to schools and kindergartens,” he made clear.
However, locals cannot shoot the bears because they are an endangered species.
…More global cooling effects. Will fake global warming people report this? No.

The propaganda media tax refund stories are driving me batty. Yahoo published one mess of an article that included this:
“I literally screamed when I saw my refund,” says Elissa Crooks. The 41-year-old from Orlando says that her refund was slashed by roughly $1,400 when she filed her 2018 taxes a few days ago.
She says that she relies on her refund to cover the property taxes on the house she bought four years ago.
She probably had reduced withholding during 2018 so had extra $$ on each paycheck. Did she not notice? Did she blow the money rather than save it to pay her property tax?
Why do people use tax refunds as some kind of savings account? Why don’t they manage their money throughout the year and adjust withholding accordingly? I saw a tweet from someone who said “the ultimate goal is a tax refund of $0”. Others pointed out that money saved by the government and then returned to you the following year is like a savings account with 0% interest, a really bad investment. Something is wrong with our schooling if so many people are ignorant to these facts.
The Yahoo article did throw in this revealing little gem: Many say they feel betrayed by President Trump, who they voted for in 2016. While some appeared to be fake accounts, or ‘bots,’ I wonder what percentage that “some” is.

People are stupid. Flat out stupid. My 25 yo was lamenting the low or no refunds he was reading about (since then his taxes have been done and filed) and I explained to him the changes in the tax code, he already knows that a big refund is stupid. Just keep explaining. The noise is just noise. Looking at Trump’s crowds the message is getting across despite the shrieking of the moonbats.

Tax refunds are zero interest loans to the government. Tax refunds are a “Christmas account” where you give them some of YOUR money over time for an expected expense later. If you play it right, you want a refund of $0, because you pair exactly the right amount in taxes throughout the year.
If you are banking on a refund to pay a bill, then ask your employer to lower your withholding, and escrow an amount each month toward paying that school tax. 99% of the time, your mortgage payment already has an escrow service built in for taxes.
LikeLike
Actually, my aim is to owe $200-$300 in taxes for the year. Not too much mind you, so that it’s a shock to the wallet or puts me in penalty territory.*
It’s somewhat like a “90 days same as cash” deal. Sure, you have to pay up, but those dollars were at my disposal until I absolutely had to give them up. The idea is to get more out of those dollars while you have them, keep the extra, and then give up the original amount when it’s finally, really due.
*The IRS didn’t like that thinking so years ago, they instituted a penalty for owing too much. I believe it was back when passbook savings were still around 4-5%, maybe more. Smart people had the minimum withheld, dumped their guess of what they’d owe into a savings account, then wrote a check in early April for their taxes. The trouble was that a lot of people didn’t bother with the “dump the money into the savings account part.”

For the past 15 years, I have paid the Feds every April. I use the money the Feds would have normally stole from me in taxes during the year for my benefit. Of course one must be diligent to not spend this money during the year.

That’s actually a good idea. Even better than aiming for a $0 refund. Aim for the biggest payment you can make without penalty and then use that money to grow more money.

Clearly she paid cash for her house, otherwise her escrow would be paying her property taxes. Also, if she doesn’t pay by the 1st of the year her amount due gets higher for property tax, conversely if she pays in November she gets a little discount.

Thing is, the worst problems facing us AREN’T complex problems that are difficult to understand, they are very simple – SECURE THE BORDER, END CHAIN MIGRATION and do what every other country does – implement a MERIT-based immigration system. The only people presenting these as complex are the factions of the Deep State and UniParty who don’t want action on them, so PDJT is right on the money.
Trump’s simple, confident language has strong historical roots
February 11, 2019
https://phys.org/news/2019-02-trump-simple-confident-language-strong.html
To many, President Donald Trump’s use of nontraditional, off-the-cuff language seems unlike that of any other politician, but new research on the language of past and present world leaders reveals simple, straightforward messaging that exudes confidence may be the new norm—making Trump a man of his time, rhetorically speaking.
The study, conducted by psychology researchers at The University of Texas at Austin, was published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
“The findings confirm that President Trump and leaders like him did not emerge out of nowhere, but rather are the most recent incarnation of long-term political trends,” said Jamie Pennebaker, UT Austin psychology professor and co-author of the study. “Taken together, the trends suggest that voters may increasingly be drawn to leaders who can make difficult, complex problems easier to understand with intuitive, confident answers.”

The increasing attraction to Trump is because of the increasing wisdom level of people.
Not so much his “simple and confident language”, not so much his explaining complex problems with simple language.
For Trump supporters it is the “wise reasoning” that counts most.
Reasonable people, just need wise reasoning, you could use “Pig Latin” as long as what you are saying, is the CBW (current best wisdom)
Trump is not fooling anyone with is communication style.
Trump is simply using language that brings the obvious truth to PC.
Trump is just using language that brings the obvious truth to MSM media advocacy.

Robert Mueller has spent two years investigating Trump, and he hasn’t said a word. It’s possible he never will.
Justice Department rules require that Mueller submit a confidential report when his work is done. William Barr, the man likely to be confirmed as his next boss, cast doubton whether he would permit that document to be revealed. Those who know him say Mueller, reluctant to speak publicly even when the circumstances seem to require it, is unlikely to do it on his own.
“A public narrative has built an expectation that the special counsel will explain his conclusions, but I think that expectation may be seriously misplaced,” said John Pistole, Mueller’s longtime top deputy at the FBI. “That’s not what the rules provide, and I really don’t see him straying from the mission. That’s not who he is.”
The Justice Department’s special counsel rules don’t call for Mueller to make any public statements about his work, let alone deliver a report of what he has found. Instead, his confidential report must explain why he filed the charges he did and why he might have declined to bring charges against others. It would be up to the attorney general to decide whether that becomes public.

Seeing a lot of these articles lately suggesting they are probably being planted by the crooks on Mueller’s team since they know their time is up.
Since the whole special counsel was a joke just used to protect the real criminals from investigation for their crimes during this time there will probably just be the most basic summary sent to AG Barr in the next few weeks explaining why people were charged and that is it.
At most you might see a joke lying charge on Trump Jr. or Kushner on crap that could be he said/she said but that is about it I think. I think that might really get Trump worked up if they were to pull that however instead of just another joke indictment against Corsi or someone like that.

It’s amazing how “journalists” can get away with writing such misleading stuff as “the investigation revealed extensive Moscow ties” and “multiple executives and confidantes were charged.” It’s been like 3 people! With charges nothing to do with the campaign.

Why the Trump admin wants more detention space for migrants and Democrats want a limit
11 Feb 2019
https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/immigration/why-ice-wants-more-detention-space-migrants-democrats-want-cap-n970071
“President Donald Trump has repeatedly said ICE is holding dangerous criminals, including murderers. While ICE held immigrants in fiscal year 2018 who collectively were convicted on 54,630 charges, only 1,641 of the charges were homicide. The most frequent charges were for driving under the influence, followed by drug offenses, traffic offenses and immigration offenses (such as re-entering the country after a deportation order.)”

People are so ridiculous. On the other hand, those are dead ugly shoes. That Gucci blackface sweater was ugly too.

At about $895 I am guessing the average Antifa member could not afford this Gucci Gem as they are usually still living at home or young college teachers

Booker told the vegan magazine VegNews earlier this month that he became vegan after coming to the realization that eating eggs “didn’t align with my spirit.”

Jay-Z and Beyoncé are encouraging everyone to take part in the plant-based food revolution.
Beyoncé’s preparations for Coachella turned out to be an outlet for Beyoncé and Jay-Z to issue their plant-based manifesto.

Cory Booker has major fat potential. That is why he is a vegetarian.

Booker is a loser. He’s got a tiny head on an out of shape flabby body. He’s got small forearms and tiny man hands. Is this the idiot who fancies himself Spartacus? Now he’s vegan? I doubt Spartacus types were. I seldom comment on a persons physical appearance, but this guy is just so FOS.
He’s an affirmative action, unaccomplished, liar. He’s jumped on the government “job for life” gravy train and he longs for Dingell status; he would never in a million years make it in the private sector, and he knows it.
This is what our enemies are watching and hoping for: weak and stupid. The clown car is full of them; any of them will do.

I wouldn’t ever force or push it on anyone else. Actually, I’m happy to learn to prepare foods for others.

The potential deal that gives POTUS 1.4 billion for the wall is not that bad. If POTUS says he will sign this and build the 55 miles of wall and then do an emergency order for the rest of the 5.7 billion.
If he does this he wins outright. Remember the Dems said not one dollar for the wall and they agreed to 1.4 billion and with the money from the other departments the whole needed 260 miles of wall will be built. POTUS can show the wall being built everyday up to the election and he could show how illegal crossings go down by 90%.

But even $5.7 Billion easn’t everything we needed! Just a start. FYI.
We probably built mire under both Bush Jr and Obama – granted, some of it poor quality.
I think we gave 600 good miles built? 200 miles inadequate?
I’d cut a deal at $4B or $3.5B to get the ball rolling, but this is an insult.
Does this tell us Shelby is Swamp?

Texas Lawmakers Propose State Wall Funding..
https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2019/02/10/trump-heads-to-el-paso-amid-stalled-wall-negotiations-texas-lawmakers-propose-state-wall-funding/#
——————————————————–
I would like to add to this proposal.. A way to pay for it.. A State Law Revision whose time is way past due..
Revise the Texas Antiquities Law (1969) regarding shipwreck treasure sites. Use the Florida and Louisiana Law as a model for revision..
This will spur jobs and increase State Revenue on many levels..
It also will enrich our Texas History greatly with all the new finds..
There are hundreds of millions of dollars out there – let the People find it and the State can just sit back and take their share..
Because right now The State of Texas is not getting a dime.. And neither is the Discoverer.. The current law just makes the finders quickly plunder and leave..
If you found gold or silver bars, or located a spanish cannon in Texas waters.. Anybody in their right mind are not going to say a damn thing.. Because the current law doesn’t give the Discoverer a damn dime.. So they will just take the money and run..
A Bass Ackwards Law..
How about some common sense legislation on this matter.. And pay for The Wall.. And have additional revenue.. And additional Texas History to spare.. Texas Historical Museums would be overflowing..
It’s a gift that keeps on giving.. A simple Win Win Win.. For all parties involved..

But that won’t stop them from shrugging off that finding while they “discover” “new reasons” to investigate PTrump . . . which will lead to even more “new reasons” to investigate PTrump . . . ad infinitum.

ABC NEWS: The veteran criminal defense attorney who headed President Donald Trump’s legal team during a crucial stretch of the special counsel investigation believes the entire affair will end in silence from special counsel Robert Mueller, and called the massive two-year probe into Russian interference in the 2016 campaign “a terrible waste of time.”
“I don’t think there’ll be a report,” John Dowd told ABC News in a wide-ranging interview for the premiere episode of “The Investigation,” a new podcast focused on the probe led by special counsel Robert Mueller. “I will be shocked if anything regarding the president is made public, other than ‘We’re done.’”
Dowd, 77, left his role as Trump’s lead attorney last March over differing views about how cooperative to be with prosecutors. But after spending nearly a year guiding the president’s legal strategy, he forged a close relationship with Trump and continues to speak with him about the Russia probe.
In one of his most in-depth interviews since departing Trump’s legal team, he offered a view of the probe very much in line with that of the president -– namely, that it lacks merit.
“I know exactly what [Mueller] has,” Dowd said. “I know exactly what every witness said, what every document said. I know exactly what he asked. And I know what the conclusion or the result is,” he said, describing the sweeping efforts by Trump’s legal team to assess the case by speaking to dozens of witnesses. Based on that knowledge, Dowd said, “there’s no basis. There’s no exposure. It’s been a terrible waste of time.”
