The “movie script” to set up candidate Trump for Spygate was first published in a 2007 Wall Street Journal column authored by Glenn Simpson, Fusion GPS co-founder. This same setup script was then ATTEMPTED to be used against McCain when he ran for prez, but HE was warned about it by the intel community because G W Bush was prez, not Obama. Never-Trumper McCain knowing full well how useful this MIGHT have been against him then became part of the exact same conspiracy set-up of candidate Trump.

This makes me think even more that: McCain rolled over rather than defeat Obama. Palin put on ticket to throw tea party people off the trail, and to make it a bit easier to lose – splitter strategy on one ticket: tea party who dont like Songbird McCain dont vote, McCain country club republicans / milit/industrial complex fans who are not thrilled with Palin dont vote.

That’s a convenient excuse. I think it is more likely he is afraid of getting caught in fabricated lies like BuzzFeed, or worse charged with additional crimes of lying to congress if he further makes things up.

Sundance has layed out the democrat plan, but it appears Dem leaders are calling audibles.
Getting up to the line, and realising their plan ain’t working. In fact, since the essence of the plan was a P.R. campaign, leading up to impeachment, one could reasonably say right now, not only isn’t it working, but it is well on the way to being an epic fail.

I smell DESPERATION on the part of the Uniparty.

What better way to document his supposed death threats than under oath in front of Congress and the world. Go ahead Michael testify, elaborate on these threats you claim are coming from POTUS and his team. If true, THAT would be impeachable, Congress would move heaven and Earth to protect you

You won’t testify because the threats are a lie, just like your claim of POTUS telling you to lie to Congress. You’re afraid to testify no doubt, but not because of threats…..because you don’t want to go on record under oath with your lies.

In the letter, Chairman Nadler makes clear that the Committee expects direct answers to their questions, and “will not accept your declining to answer any question on the theory that the President may want to invoke his privileges in the future.” The prepared questions cover issues related to Mr. Whitaker’s appointment by President Trump to replace Jeff Sessions following his firing, Mr. Whitaker’s decision not to recuse himself from the Special Counsel investigation, and his oversight over the Special Counsel investigation, and the nature of his relationship with the President.

        COERSION!!!!

A threat is a communicated intent to inflict harm or loss on another person. A threat is considered an act of coercion. … Some of the more common types of threats forbidden by law are those made with an intent to obtain a monetary advantage or to compel a person to act against his or her will.

    • Duke of Cumberland says:

If not, doesn’t that mess up the Resistance timeline SD has put out? Cohen’s testimony to Cummings is foundational to the impeachment scheme and needs to happen before the next tripwire.

“After the Cohen testimony; while Schiff begins to target DJT-Jr; Robert Mueller will move in with an interim report on the Russian investigation. Mid-February will be reserved for Schiff to target DJT-Jr; then, the timing for Rod Rosenstein/Robert Mueller is likely late February to expand…”

Maybe Michael Cohen is getting death threats from his father in law’s friends for big money involvement in Ukraine and contributations to the Clinton Foundations. Just a thought, it would be unfortunate for Mr. Cohen to open that can of worms.

I was doubtful he would ever testify. It was a good plan, until Mueller shot down the Buzz Feed article. He may have wanted to lie his lies to the Dims on the committee, but boy he would not have handled the GOP members when they got ahold of him.

How’d you find Madden? He’s very low on the food chain. Weird.

Anyway, here’s the rest of that thread.

This guy is from The Blaze.

I have no idea of how reputable he is.

“A conservative Senate aide tells me that there’s some growing skepticism about the WH A shutdown+wall bill from Republican senators, both about the policy substance and what the strategy is if it actually passes.

The skepticism is understandable, given that the bill has UAC updates that won’t fly with Dems but doesn’t address Flores. Then there’s the issue (assuming it gets to 60) that there’s no clear path forward for it in the House unless Pelosi caves and brings it up for a vote.

“McConnell is setting Trump up to fail,” another R Senate Aide tells me. “There is no reason he had to cut a deal with Schumer to have side by side votes.”

“He could have set up on one vote on the [motion to proceed] on the Trump bill,” he explains. “Now McConnell has set up Trump bill to get less votes than the Dem CR and there is a good chance the Dem CR gets 60.”

To those in the comments who actually have a hard time believing this, ask yourself something: If wall+shutdown bill fails Thurs, is it realistic that 13 R Senators will throw up their hands & vote to reopen govt with the fig leaf of negotiating the wall before the next deadline?”

      Like

    • Troublemaker10 says:

Not only that, but why did McConnell agree to the wall funding vote to be held first, and Schumer’s 3 week CR continuence bill second? Obviously the bill that gets voted on second will garner more votes out of desperation to reopen the government.

Maybe there is a reason a 3 week re-opening is what Trump wants as part of his strategy. Who knows?

Maybe the Dems will crack during that three weeks and agree to wall funding allowing both sides to claim victory…

Dems take credit for ending shutdown, and Trump takes credit for wall funding?

Wish I knew what was going on.

The media and Left have no conscience. We do. That puts us at big disadvantage. They’re also betting that we can’t match their evil stamina with righteous stamina. It’s a pretty safe bet, because it’s mostly true. 80% of those on our side really can’t comprehend their total lack of conscience. It’s alien to us. Every time you hear someone on our side say “shame” or disgraceful”, that’s our ignorance speaking. Shame and disgrace have NO MEANING to them.

  44. I’m trying to make sense out of following sequence of events:

    1/17: fake news Buzzfeed “report”
1/18: Cohen arm in a sling with a black eye
    1/23: Cohen postpones testimonty

I wonder if a Venn diagram would help sort it out? Every leftist and/or corporatist-globalist uniparty hack and gangster in, or connected to DC, wants to “get Trump” by any means necessary. That is a far larger group (circle) than those among them who’ve been fully “read into” (i..e, have full clearances/access and/or actively participated in) the Muh Russia coup.

Maybe sometimes these two groups can be in partial conflict because the #1 priority of the inner circle “Deep State” is to cover up their own crimes. Of course, a coup on Trump furthers that CYA mission and they despise Trump as much as any yokel Democrat or GOPe congressman or leftist activist, but – you know . . . Maslow’s hierarchy of needs.

Conversely, some really aggressive Trump haters who aren’t part of the inner-circle will tend to go non-stop, full-tilt destroy-Trump. They might throw stuff at walls sometimes that accidentally puts the inner-circle at risk without realizing it.

Of course, as soon as members of the larger circle are instructed by their masters to back off of tactic x., y, or z, they willingly oblige. They are happy to make twisted rationalizations for why it’s now a crime to question “shadow government,” CIA, military industrial complex, etc. But sometimes the tail just won’t know what the head is up to.

Maybe this was one of those times. For some reason, it was necessary for Cohen to get a forceful explanation on why he should postpone his testimony, even though many Democrats in Congress are upset. They probably have no idea that it was their Deep State masters who needed the postponement. Besides, it benefits the Deep Staters to have their pets falsely blame Trump for the postponement.

Probably best for their safety to leave quickly. The riots are now beginning. It’s going to get ugly. Kudos to the young men of Venezuela for staying home and fighting, rather than running to the U.S. like so many cowards in other Central American countries.
