Thursday December 20th – Open Thread

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.

For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

    So, I guess this is right place to post this. If not, sorrrrryyyyyyy!

    Had a conversation with someone I know very well a couple days ago. This is person is convinced we’re headed for another recession. They work closely with a well known national retailer whose brick and mortar sales have continued to decline. Says it is an epidemic industry wide and the bubble is about to burst. This person is also deeply involved in classic GOP good ol’ party dynamic, a committed NeverTrumper and extremely wealthy.

    My reaction is, your time is over. You no longer control the works. Move along. Whadda ya all think? I will say I do agree that brick and mortar is headed for the exits.

      To some extent, I agree about the brick/mortar stores. And we are ALWAYS headed for another “recession.”

      Interesting enough……when the evil ones sold the idea of a “Federal Reserve” they told the People, that having a central banking system would end the cycles of recession! LIARS then, LIARS now.

    The Nation of Islam and its leaders have received hundreds of thousands of dollars from the U.S. government since 2008 to teach religious study programs for federal prison inmates.

    I hope someone sees this who can help! I have been getting some very annoying pop up that hits immediately when I move on this sight. No other sight. My pop ups are off, cleared all history, tried to find anything open or recent I may have hit on to bring this on but nothing worked. Finally after several hours it quit. It has happened before but This time it was relentless.

  12. Now that AAG Whitaker has been cleared by the DOJ Ethics Whatever to oversee the Mueller investigation, will this mean Rosenstein’s days are numbered? Or at the least can Rosenstein be assigned to the Fargo office – Paperclip Accountability Division?

    lilbirdee12’s prayer:

    Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.

    Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.

    Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.

    Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
    Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.

    We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
    Thank you Father, for Your Love and the gift of Life.

    In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.

    A prayer for Justice Kavanaugh and Col. Flynn:

    Prayer to St. Michael

    St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle;
    be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
    May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
    and do you, O prince of the heavenly host,
    by the power of God,
    thrust into hell Satan and the other evil spirits
    who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

    In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.

    A Christmas Miracle

    Sixty-eight years ago today ending on Christmas Eve, “The largest amphibious withdrawal of the Korean War, and the greatest military evacuation of civilians, under combat conditions, in US history, was over.”

    “Remarkably, there are an estimated one million descendants of those rescued at Hungnam who now live in freedom in South Korea, the United States and other countries around the world.”

    “To this day, the refugees continue to express their appreciation. As Mr. Sohn Yang-Young (aka: Kimchi 1) said recently:

    All these years I’ve been telling my children to think about the life I’ve lived and what it was like to be a refugee. I also tell them to think about how the Americans came to a strange land, gave their lives, and rescued so many people . . . we should not forget the sacrifices of the young soldiers. Their lives were just as precious as ours. ”

    Uplifting post which Christy Jordon posts annually around the Christmas holiday discussing her sharecropper ancestors in AL. The Lord’s tender mercies come to mind. A few months ago, I had posted the link to Christy’s recipe site for those excellent sugar cookies which I shared at CTH.
