Saturday October 6th – Open Thread

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.

For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

    From a Breitbart post:
“going, going, gone” girl wistfully reaches for red, heart-shaped balloon.

Perfect metaphor for the party of self-destruction and the high price women pay for being willing dupes of leftist lies and their own misty hopes.

Don’t know if this has been previously posted but it’s worth watching and hearing. This young seven year old Asian American shows heart, soul, and a terrific set of pipes.

This was correct when I posted it but now links to something entirely different. Apparently I don’t know how to link to a YouTube video. My apologies.

That was possibly the WORST rendition I’ve ever had the misfortune of trying to listen to.

Man…you sure own YOUR NAME today. Too bad you didn’t include and “L” before the “Y”

Ok, that’s certainly possible for you. However it’s only because you haven’t heard many or any 7 year old children sing solo and acapella (without any instrumental accompaniment) a tune that is generally agreed to be one of the more difficult tunes to sing, even for most adults because of the required vocal range, in front of thousands of people.

“Did you hear that Christine Margaret Blasey Ford, an American professor of psychology at Palo Alto University and a research psychologist at the Stanford University School of Medicine, who claims she was sexually attacked in her high school years by Supreme Court candidate Brett Kavanaugh, has a conflict of interest?

According to the National Library of Medicine, Dr. Christine Blasey has authored or co-authored 21 scientific reports on a wide variety of topics including gender and depression. Six of these reports address mifepristone, the abortion pill.

In the USA, 31% of abortions before nine weeks are by pill (not surgery). For sure, Roe vs. Wade, the court case that legalized abortion may be up for legal reconsideration. Judge Kavanaugh is likely to vote against abortion.

Did you also hear, according to radio commentator Michael Savage, that Christine Blasey-Ford, besides being a “professor” at a major university she just so happens to head up the CIA undergraduate internship program at Stanford University.”

I went to considerable trouble to obtain a lawn sign for the Republican candidate for governor in New York.
You not only wouldn’t know what party he was running under, you can’t tell what office.
Another sign I have tells what NY office the guy is running for (state legislator), but doesn’t mention the Republicans.
I can see why the Democrat candidates leave that out, but why isn’t the Republican party prepared to benefit from possible fallout from Democrats’ behavior?

    Putting this here in Open:

“Q” predicted a 53-something Brett Kavanaugh vote. (For all I know that’s fake news, as I didn’t see the original posts myself; but on this site and others, “Q adherents” have posted that prediction many times that prediction.

    The final vote was 50-48.

I know there was at least one “Present” vote, which may influence any analysis, but what is the explanation from the ‘Q’-side? Anyone know?

LOL talk about bad final editing on my part.Sorry about that!

Murkowski voted present and Daines was absent from voting so factor in those 2 votes.

Teagan says: “Murkowski voted present and Daines was absent from voting so factor in those 2 votes.”

Yes, thanks! I alluded to that where I said, “I know there was at least one “Present” vote, which may influence any analysis“; but I’m not an analyst so I don’t feel confident doing the factoring (to me it then looks like a 51-49 which still isn’t a 53-something).

Preferably a ‘Q’-supporter would analyse and factor it because it’s a prediction by a leader of their movement. No matter how I analyse it, it doesn’t matter how I conclude because I don’t follow them.

          Predictions can be wrong?

I don’t follow Q, but I’m pretty sure he’s thought of as an insider, not a psychic. Humans get things wrong from time to time.

Just left the gym, where a Comcast TV screensaver that rotates about 3-4 headlines had one saying the president had toilet paper on his shoe on his way onto Air Force One. Amidst a truly momentous occasion, this is one of their lead stories. Speaks volumes.

Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.

Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.

Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.

Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.

We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
Thank you Father, for Your Love and the gift of Life.

In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.

    Prayer for Kavanaugh:
“After watching her husband rip into pro-death senators who used Dr. Christine Blasey Ford in attempts to derail the appointment of her husband to the U.S. Supreme Court, Ashley is asking all people of faith to unite in praying Psalm 40, which reads:”

In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen
