—“Simply put, crude may have been a bluff – and LNG could be too – and energy scarcity may have led China to retreat from its threat posture,” Managing Director Kevin Book of ClearView Energy Partners said in a Wednesday memo quoted by S&P Global.”

Is anybody else following this trial? What a joke. Hope the jury sees through it. Gates is a fraud and liar. So a terrible witness for the prosecution. The defense blew them away today regarding the loans. Manafort had more than enough collateral for the loans. Mueller should be ashamed.

I told my wife last night that Mueller has NO BUSINESS handling this trial. It should have been handed over to the IRS or SEC or Justice Dept. It has NOTHING whatsoever to do with The “Special Investigation” of MY President. This is nothing more than a shakedown show trial … to threaten all the other “potential witnesses” against MY President. To show what kind of public evisceration they’ll receive at the hands of an unfettered “Special Investigator”. This is a despicable scandal of a show trial.

FYI Sessions was in Arkansas 8 days ago for an appearance with Betsy de Voss (sp). He made a stop at Little Rock. Back in January he announced opening up investigations into the Clinton Foundation. Of course this was under reported. Apparently the investigation involves 5 states. The great Charles Ortel who has been tracking CF crimes for years has been lending his expertise. There are many YT interviews where he discusses this. Now that the upper echelons of the DOJ and FBI have been gutted through “resignations” and firings which are under reported it looks as if things are heating up. Vote on November 6th and keep praying. Ignore Eeyores.

      • You misunderstand the purpose of tell-all books, Kenji. They don’t have to be true. They only have to contain salacious or unpleasant hearsay accusations that are vague enough to avoid being sued over. Michael Wolff’s book netted him more than eight million dollars, and he was just a drop-in observer, not even in the administration. Comey’s book sold three times as fast as Wolff’s. People may not care, but by God they will still buy them!

Omorosa is looking for a payday, and if previous books dishing on POTUS are any indication, she’ll get it.

The National Park Service has given permits on the same day (Sunday) to two opposing groups in the same area of Washington DC i.e. right across from the White House.

The National Park Service said Wednesday it issued a permit for a rally in Lafayette Park by Unite the Right. The second permit was issued to the Answer Coalition, a group that has called for “mass action” on Sunday to protest what it described as racists, fascists, neo-Nazis and white supremacists.

Can you believe there is any wisdom in this NPS decision as I can not? No law says both permits have to be on the same day in the same place. This is like Charlottesville where the permitted group was marched right into the (un-permitted) opposing group which ended in disaster.

The White House as a back drop will just be used against our President.

Lemme try: the NPS has folks that are off there in the lefty bushes. The ones in DC are picked from pools of applicants that started on various civil service handout programs – like my old office that had a battalion of ‘programmers’ with only about a dozen who had degrees in programming – the rest were made inhouse.
So if some prog fifth columnist decided s/he wanted to fire up an incident that would splash back on Trump than why not do this – it’s Charlottesville 2.0 and just a year later. I still don’t believe the geniuses could have planned that 2017 Charlottesville mess any more betterer unless they got Machiavelli-R-Us to do the blueprints. Geez…a far right and far Left group across from the White House, WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG? This has fingerprints on it, all from someone’s left hand.

As for Charlottesville, I believe then Gov McAuliffe was very much involved in the police stand down order (as well as the police not having proper suits on for armed protestors). McAuliffe’s chief of staff (Brian Moran) was in a situation room right above the Cville park site and in constant contact w the Governor. That situation could have been avoided indeed.

              Sandra-VA
Indeed, the Charlottesville city council set the whole disaster up last August. Chief among them was MAURICE JONES, the then-city manager, who did NOTHING about making plans in case “trouble” would arise. The then-police chief was in on the stand down order that came from Gov. McAwfuls’ office. That police chief resigned suddenly this year and JONES went behind the city council’s back to hire ON HIS OWN, the new current police chief, RaSHALL BRACKNEY.
Now Chief BRACKNEY along with the city council has crafted what can only be called a MUSSOLINI-LIKE SHUTDOWN of the city for the “anniversary” of the Unite the Right disaster of last year. Great swaths of streets are being shut down. The Downtown Mall, the merchants of which are still struggling to recover from last year (AND the huge increases of Commercial Real Estate taxes that were passed by the city council—the average increase is between 50%–400% per business), are terrified that they will lose months’ worth of income from the shutdowns of this weekend.
BUT—at the END of the long list of “weapons” that are forbidden to be used, let alone seen, this weekend, Chief BRACKNEY has “decreed” that handguns are OK as carried by Concealed Carry permit holders. She actually stated that to ban handguns “would violate the Second Amendment”…while the provisions of free speech, free assembly, the right of the people to peaceably protest against the government in the First Amendment—ALL are being trampled on.

czar, don’t know if it’s still up on YouTube, but there was a guy who called and interviewed a woman who was an eyewitness. The startling account of this eyewitness was that all the protestors came in and got off charter busses at the same time: “KKK” with “BLM” and all sorts of actors streaming helterskelter off the charter busses, from the same busses at the same time. It sounds like they were crisis actors. AND Heather Heyer apparently died of a heart attack, not as a result of injuries from a “speeding” car; CBS has an interview with Heyer’s mother where this is noted

Big ol’ gubmint flustercluck in Charlottesville. The people who put on that show should be ashamed of themselves.

And when I saw that DC is thinking they should put this new crop of “rioters” on separate Metro cars, I thought, yeah, somebody must have seen that video about the charter busses and realized that it looked super fishy to have their actors all arriving on the same busses. Separate Metro trains, will that look more believable? Um, nah

Now this guy just signed a 5-year contract that gives him an annual salary of $11,000,000. He faces playing 20 games a year, each game averaging just over 3 hours total time and the ball in play an average of 11 MINUTES A GAME. How you wanna de-vide up that yearly salary, by the game or by the minutes (11 x 20)?
Now, you take someone like a sepecialoperator from one of the branches of the military, wev won’t talk regular combat or combat supporp/services troops. That specialopersator trains AT LEAST as hard and long as that NFL player, his training is far more dangerous than any NFL player ever goes through and if that operator stays in for 30 years he won’t come within view of what Jordan makes inone year. He also works a helluva lot more than 11 minutes 20 times a year and unlike that knee-bending NFL player he’s getting shot at. I won’t even get into his spending 24/7/365 protecting with his life the rights of an NFL player to spit on him and comrades dead and alive.
Yeah yeah, I know, that operator could have been on the high school football team and got a free ride on his grades on the way to a college scholarship where he could have gotten those special courses reserved for sportsteam members. Instead the guy went into the military to serve his country – pity the fool.
Ain’t gonna find my TV tuned to any Saints games this year – or the other NFL for that matter. I’m voting with my Directv viewer’s data.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — An FBI agent has been found not guilty of lying about firing shots at a militia leader who participated in the armed takeover of an Oregon wildlife refuge.

A jury on Friday returned the verdict on W. Joseph Astarita.

Astarita was charged with making false statements and obstruction of justice after telling investigators he did not fire two shots that missed Robert “LaVoy” Finicum, a key figure in the group that seized the eastern Oregon refuge in 2016 while protesting the imprisonment of two ranchers. Oregon State Police fatally shot Finicum seconds later.

    Astarita denied firing the shots.

Federal prosecutors had argued that Astarita was a rookie on the elite Hostage Rescue Team who panicked as Finicum came close to running over his teammate at a police roadblock.

The prosecution relied largely on circumstantial evidence and forensic analyses, pinpointing Astarita as the only officer who could have fired the two shots based on their expert Michael Haag’s determination of the bullet’s path and Astarita’s location at the time the shots rang out.

An aerial FBI video also caught Astarita standing with his rifle shouldered beside the open passenger door of a state police truck in the middle of the highway roadblock when the shots occurred, prosecutors said.”

Charged with murder. Now that will put a crimp in the candidate’s campaign. Will she now withdraw from the race? That would be the ethical thing to do, but how much does that matter these days? Probably not much…

Empty headed blonde ( I think Carley Shimkus ) on Tucker ( Steyn substituting ). Talking about Kanye versus Spike Lee. She manages to do her best Ben Shapiro impression: ” I think conservatives got ahead of themselves getting on the Kanye bandwagon because ..yadayadayada.”. Steyn corrects her: “Well I don’t think anyone expected him to become William F. Buckley”. Sheesh. These purist schmucks ( just another different form of SJW virtue signaling, except they do Alinsky warfare on us ) are as bad as the RINO establishment. Both groups will destroy us in their own way if they can.

This was a fine example of the thin lightweight tabloid direction ( see News Of The World, and the New York Post, also Murdoch outlets ) Fox News will further morph into. BTW Carly, those are the fakest fake eyelashes anyone ever wore. Don’t they have mirrors in the dressing room?

After reading this opinion piece, background on the Chris Collins indictment for insider trading, I’ve got suspicions:

It just seems to conveniently political, especially since one of those investigated used to work for the president.
    Who else got charged?
