Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.

For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

    St. Michael the Archangel,
    defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
    and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
    by the power of God,
    thrust into hell Satan,
    and all the evil spirits,
    who prowl about the world

Words of wisdom for our times as well….

“A man who lies to himself, and believes his own lies becomes unable to recognize truth, either in himself or in anyone else, and he ends up losing respect for himself and for others. When he has no respect for anyone, he can no longer love, and, in order to divert himself, having no love in him, he yields to his impulses, indulges in the lowest forms of pleasure, and behaves in the end like an animal. And it all comes from lying – lying to others and to yourself.” – Fyodor Dostoevsky

Love it, BakoCarl. It’s a crack-up, and yet, so true.

            Here’s an idea—
Can you do a “The Halloween Special” or something like that? Seven days prior to Halloween, write at least seven poems like this on different anti-Americans, or repost poems like this one. It sure would put our minds in a different perspective, a place of ease, during crazy halloween. Halloween used to be lighthearted and fun when we were kids.

30 years ago I had non-white older adults coming to my door demanding candy. Spooked me so bad, as hubbie was out with our kids and I was alone. I stopped passing out candy on Halloween nights, cold turkey.

May God bless you today, and may He keep your creativity juice flowing. You have a true gift.

        I humbly submit:

        If Hilary knew the Bible which maybe not, she’d know that Jezebel did not end well;

2 Kings 9:30-37New King James Version (NKJV)
        Jezebel’s Violent Death
30 Now when Jehu had come to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it; and she put paint on her eyes and adorned her head, and looked through a window. 31 Then, as Jehu entered at the gate, she said, “Is it peace, Zimri, murderer of your master?”
32 And he looked up at the window, and said, “Who is on my side? Who?” So two or three eunuchs looked out at him. 33 Then he said, “Throw her down.” So they threw her down, and some of her blood spattered on the wall and on the horses; and he trampled her underfoot. 34 And when he had gone in, he ate and drank. Then he said, “Go now, see to this accursed woman, and bury her, for she was a king’s daughter.” 35 So they went to bury her, but they found no more of her than the skull and the feet and the palms of her hands. 36 Therefore they came back and told him. And he said, “This is the word of the Lord, which He spoke by His servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, ‘On the plot of ground at Jezreel dogs shall eat the flesh of Jezebel;[a] 37 and the corpse of Jezebel shall be as refuse on the surface of the field, in the plot at Jezreel, so that they shall not say, “Here lies Jezebel.”

        And

Zechariah 4:10New King James Version (NKJV)

10 For who has despised the day of small things?
For these seven rejoice to see
The plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel.

They are the eyes of the Lord,
Which scan to and fro throughout the whole earth.”

    Good word.

Heavenly Father, Glorious Son, Sweet Holy Spirit, Three in One; thank You for blessing our President on this 269th day of his first term in office.

Bless him, his loved ones, and his cabinet, with grace beyond measure, to turn govern in righteousness, and dismantle everything the previous administrations set in place that has weakened our nation!

Thank You Father, for filling them with wisdom and understanding far beyond themselves, and pouring out Your favor upon them, in every dimension.

Your law O Lord is perfect, converting the soul; we are thanking You, for Your perfect law of liberty, sweeping across the nation converting entire communities, in one fell swoop, in a massive turning to Your ways! Hallelujah to Your Name.

Your testimony is sure O Lord, making wise the simple; and Your statutes magnificent Father are right, rejoicing the heart; the sound of Your joy filled Capitol Mall, as all 50 States worshipped You, and Awaken the Dawn, now fill each state with the sound of Your JOY, which is the strength of a nation.

Thank You for making wise the simple as testimony of Your greatness fills the air.

Your commandments Yahweh are pure, enlightening the eyes; thank You for the scales falling off the eyes of those who have been most passionate against You, or anyone who represents Your interests !

Light em up Lord, in the blood bought mercy of eternal truth.

    Your fear Elohim is clean, enduring forever;
Fill em up Lord, full to the brim, with the wisdom, the fear of Your Holy Name brings.

Your judgments O Lord are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, Yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

You have blessed our President with much gold, now we are thanking You for filling him with an insatiable taste for Your righteous judgements filling our land; and the sweetness of those judgments, ministering to every heart, home, and family in our nation.

Moreover by them America is warned, And in keeping them there is great reward. Who can understand his errors? Cleanse us from secret faults. Keep back our nation also from presumptuous sins; Let them not have dominion over us!

Then shall we be blameless, And We shall be innocent of great transgression. Let the words of each mouth and the meditation of each heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, our strength and our Redeemer.

Thank You Father, for this being a week of running the Checkerboard!

And men who thought they were next in line all over the nation, being jumped over, and those whose are pure before You , and will govern in your fear, be crowned with grace and favor.

Let there be screams of disbelief throughout the domain of darkness, saying, we didn’t see that coming!

Yeah God, catch Your enemies with their pants down this week, no where to run, and no where to hide, Bam Whoosh Bam!
    Gotcha!

Yep it’s gonna be a glorious week, as You continue to play Your Trump Card!

Oh, my…how sad…such a beautiful, altogether remarkable person.

A number of years back there was a program on EWTN wherein a man related that he and a group of other young men who admired Ratzinger during his pre-papal teaching years were attending some function at the Vatican. Ratzinger was processing with the others past the group. The man telling the story said he simply could not contain his excitement at seeing the beloved Ratzinger and yelled out “Ratzinger Rules!” The future Pope did not turn his head but a slight smile came over his face at the enthusiasm being shown by one faithful young man.

Serene and at peace with God…may we all have those same qualities at the end of our time here on earth.

Trump Defends Christmas, Little Sisters of the Poor
Written by Michael Matt | Editor

During a blowout speech to the Values Voter Summit in Washington, D.C., on October 13, 2017, President Trump smacked several balls out of the park, to the delight of pro-God Americans everywhere. After promising to defend what he called “Judeo-Christian values” in every walk of American life, the President went on to “pledge allegiance to one nation under God,” to defend the lives of the unborn, saying ours is a nation “that never forgets that we are all – all, every one of us – made by the same God in heaven.”

Has anyone seen the articles popping up all over the place about Dan Brown, author of the DaVinci Code? Basically all the different headlines say, “Author says God cannot survive science.” This guy is selling a new book, the title of which I refuse to mention, and is probably using this to get attention. I have seen these arrogant people before and have stood beside some of their beds when they are dying and believe me, when he feels the cold hand of death on his shoulder, he will sing a very different tune. There are two things I am completely sure of with no shadow of doubt, John 3:16 and John 14:1-6. I believe it by faith alone. As C.S. Lewis puts it: I believe in Christ as I believe the sun has risen; not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything.

    lilbirdee12’s prayer:

Our Heavenly Father, Your children come to you tonight to ask for healing and peace throughout our country so that we may return to being One Nation Under God. Guide us to be leaders in Your Kingdom, spreading Your Love and Salvation to all. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil.

Lord, we ask for a blanket of protection over all our troops and law enforcement who serve to defend and protect us. Bless our representatives with the strength and wisdom they need to achieve the path You have chosen for us.

Please place Your Guardian Angels of Protection around Donald Trump and Mike Pence and their families as they seek to lead America back to You.

Grant us patience, Lord, as the evil ones try to anger us and cause us to fall.
Spread blessings over Israel and Netanyahu.

We humbly ask that You please comfort those who are grieving and in pain.
Thank you Father, for Your Love and the gift of Life.

And, Lord, we pray for all the people who have been affected by the earthquakes and hurricanes.

In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.

Here is something for history buffs.

Today is October 17th on the current civil or commercial calendar (also known as the Gregorian calendar or New Calendar)..

It is, however, October 4th on the traditional Orthodox Church or Patristic Church Calendar (also called the Old Calendar or Julian calendar).

Today in 1582, or 435 years ago, the Roman Papacy under Gregory XIII used the Church Calendar (adopted at the First Œcumenical Synod at Nicæa in 325 A.D.) for the final time.

It took several hundred years for the Gregorian calendar to be gradually adopted as a civil calendar by governments and other parts of Christendom.

Sometimes the calendar change happened peacefully and sometimes with bloodshed and persecution all the way into the 20th century.

Several millions of Orthodox Christians worldwide still adhere to the traditional Church Calendar for marking and observing the rhythm of Feast Days of the Lord Jesus Christ.
