You did notice she wore white? Wondered if there was a reason…She is stunning, and anything negative they say is going to be silly when compared to what people can see with their own two eyes and ears.

Meanwhile, as the MSM obsesses over this and makes it the blaring frontpage headline, those who are barely aware of politics, those who follow the Kartrashions, those who only pick up on bits and pieces of real news, will now stumble across other speeches delivered at the convention last night. This kerfluffle may give the Republican convention more viewers who would never tune in.

One thing for sure, the MSM moved in swift and virtual unison on the subject of the speech. I cant stand boilerplate scripts, so I would never had known about the controversy if the MSM wasn’t there to tell me. It would be very interesting to track who made the first reports, and when.

My advice to the Trump campaign is to examine who fed the words to Melania. She didn’t need that script

Melania is eye candy like Jackie O. I hated the Jackie O worship during the Kennedy era, but Jackie certainly deserved praise for her graceful handling of the job.

Not impossible Melania was sabotaged in attempt to keep her from becoming another Jackie.

Trump doesn’t make a lot of mistakes. Hard for me to believe he would troll his wife, and trade image for face time. Doesn’t add up.

Trump better find out who ‘helped’ his woman. Maybe get a trustworthy web expert to do heavy internet searches on text, before it is released.

Having not gotten ‘wrapped around the axle’ by this faux, media-contrived outrage, I’m well set to receive (and LAUGH AT) today’s menu of faux, media-contrived outrages.

This is a NOTHING-BURGER. If you think this was bad, wait until today. And tomorrow.

This won’t stop, at all. The media’s mission is to find fault with every aspect of the RNC, no matter what. NOTHING is too trivial for them to exploit in their zeal to ensure their audience remains anti-Trump–and to convince Trump supporters to waver? That’d be a bonus to them.

The point being: the media will attack EVERY aspect of this convention, no matter what.

BTW – a source in New England relayed that parts of Michelle’s speech were lifted from a Denzel Washington movie circa 2002. Awaiting confirmation, but really, at the point, what difference does it make? Poster at top of this thread is right about this being a contrived story. Used to be the press tried to scoop each other. Now, the journolist survives, and the media is in lockstep…or goosestep. They are dishonest and despicable. Utterly unworthy of first amendment protections as of now.

I’ve been wondering if this wasn’t maybe some kind of “bait” dangled at the MSM intentionally. Perhaps bringing attention back to the 2008 speech provides a tactical opening that otherwise would not be viable.

Sure, I may just be reaching here. But, now I’m curious about how “original” those words and phrases actually were back in 2008.

Look at the recent communications hires, who were ex-Cruz operatives, and you will have your answer as to who set up Melania, and who coordinated with the media to try and distract from her great speech and attempt to humiliate her. Donald’s campaign is now compromised at several levels. His former protector, Corey, was purged. Manafort has the ear of his kids, like the traitorous advisor in the Lord of the Rings movies who poisons the king of Rohan. All of the time it was obvious that the advisor was a traitor working for the king’s enemies, but no one wanted to say so, because to do so would have seemed like disloyalty to the king by questioning his judgment in picking this advisor. In the same way, people don’t want to question Manafort, and they especially dont want to question Mike Pence, an establishment operative who not only denounced Donald during the primaries over the Muslim ban, but just recently denounced him as racist for calling out the bias of the racist Mexican La Raza judge. Pence joined in the chorus with Newt and Ryan trashing Donald, but now we are supposed to trust him with Donald’s life. Don is surrounded by snakes and the only way he is going to get out of this mess is to read the Snake poem, and apply it to the filth that is currently on his payroll.

I see no mention of Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn’s speech and I thought it was superb. I have said it before as have others in their own way, words don’t make a speech, nor does delivery. The person speaking makes the speech, the knowledge behind the words, heart, will, character, the soul of the person. That is what makes a speech. Moreover, it is the soul of the listener that makes the critical difference. Nothing between the ears of the listener or blackness in the heart of the listener and the result will be different. So, the pathological media misses the essence and goodness, and instead sees and hears their own blackness of soul echoing.

Flynn knows who the enemy of America is and heralded it. Flynn, furthermore, was distraught, beside himself, with his voice breaking, at the abdication of America’s POTUS to protect us against this enemy, and the traitorous disarming and Gaslighting of Americans. Flynn’s speech laid it out. Wherein, additionally, Flynn indicted Hillary as complicit in this abdication, with the contrasting distinction to Obama’s willful ignorance, that she is a crook, a full blown criminal that deserves jail time.

And the convention crowd responded unanimously and enthusiastically, “Lock her up.”

She is a remarkable woman of character. Her beauty is obvious, but her intrinsic elegance is the clarity of her values. She never was seduced by her industry’s wiles. She never was corrupted or debased. She came to America with core values and expanded her potential in the environment of Liberty. A terrific immigration story for us. We won that deal big time.

I am more convinced after thinking this over. I am fairly certain Trump is dictating the battle ground in this situation. We all know at some point the Media was going to unleash the wolves on Melania. So if you are going to fight, you fight on your terms and dictate the battlefield. The best way to counter a media attack on Melania is by contrasting her with the current First Lady. It’s absolutely brilliant and we never seen anything like this before.

Some things to consider – but I expect many more quotes apply from Sun Tzu:

“Appear weak when you are strong, and strong when you are weak.”

“Engage people with what they expect; it is what they are able to discern and confirms their projections. It settles them into predictable patterns of response, occupying their minds while you wait for the extraordinary moment — that which they cannot anticipate.”

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, your victory will not stand in doubt; if you know Heaven and know Earth, you may make your victory complete.”

It’s nothingburger in terms of the election or Melania’s or DJT’s credibility, and certainly with so many important events going on in the world the media should not be spending any time on this! But there were sections of Melania’s speech that were very obviously lifted, in a few cases verbatim, from Michelle’s 2008 speech. Let’s just acknowledge it, because if we try to deny it WE look bad.

      Example:

Melania: From a young age, my parents impressed on me the values that you work hard for what you want in life, that your word is your bond and you do what you say and keep your promise, that you treat people with respect. They taught and showed me values and morals in their daily lives. That is a lesson that I continue to pass along to our son. And we need to pass those lessons on to the many generations to follow. Because we want our children in this nation to know that the only limit to your achievements is the strength of your dreams and your willingness to work for them.

Michelle: “Barack and I were raised with so many of the same values: that you work hard for what you want in life; that your word is your bond and you do what you say you’re going to do; that you treat people with dignity and respect, even if you don’t know them, and even if you don’t agree with them. And Barack and I set out to build lives guided by these values, and pass them on to the next generation. Because we want our children — and all children in this nation — to know that the only limit to the height of your achievements is the reach of your dreams and your willingness to work for them.”

There are more. They were small elements, I’m not troubled by them, the media should not be obsessing over them, but they exist.

That’s a great analogy. She chose a dress, she might have even participated in the design process, but ultimately the designer is responsible. If her dress was a partial copy of some other designer’s dress I doubt that anyone would blame her. All of the speakers have speechwriters. Michelle’s 2008 speech was written by a professional speechwriter.

Sabina Durden was outstanding and so was Jamiel Shaw Sr. Their speeches reminded me why I got on board the Trump Train in the beginning. It was the press conference he held in Los Angeles with a number of the grieving parents from the Remembrance Project. A year ago I think it was, early on, when the hostility to him was really ramping up. That press conference completely flipped the narrative of the poor, poor pitiful illegal immigrants that we’ve been hearing for years from everyone from Hilldabeast to Paul Ryan even to Chris Christie. Trump demolished that lie and presented his truth, that illegals kill, maim and make us less safe. This was political dynamite, especially since he was defying his own party. At that moment I said, “this is my guy.”

Note that CNN cut away from Durden and Shaw last night–the left’s commitment to free speech remains touching, as always.

“If the staff did not do their job properly, and didn’t vet the speech properly based on the larger picture and narrative that she put together, then there should be accountability. No question,” Lewandowski said before addressing a breakfast meeting of the Illinois delegation. “I know about accountability in this election,” said Lewandowski, who is now a paid contributor for CNN. […]

Asked if the blame should fall to Paul Manafort, Trump’s campaign chair and convention manager, Lewandowski said it’s on “whoever is in charge of the convention.”
“You can put that blame on anybody you want, but this is clearly an issue that should be resolved immediately, swiftly,” Lewandowski said.

What a lot of nothing. Lots and lots of people in America talk about values, their parents, their children, working hard and having dreams for what you want. Moochelle Obama is not the first person to voice those things. The big difference, I think, is that Moochelle’s words were totally empty, another con, proven by the last over 7 years. What Melania said was what I truly think she believes and that it is what Donald Trump believes. Big difference. It also helps that Melania is actually a woman and that she is actually a mother.

If Melania had done a speech that was nice, and maybe a bit boring, nobody would be talking about it after it. By adding a a few lines here and there to make it sound similar to Michele Obama speech, it’s a great way to generate potential controversy and have it be spoken about it on the news channels, and that is exactly what happened.

Don’t underestimate Mr. Trump, the man is literally a genius at manipulating the media in America. He keeps on getting rolls and rolls of free advertising from the media with his trickery (and I mean this in a good way).

  20. Its amazing, the Media, who ‘use’ words, don’t grasp the art of rhetoric. Taking a phrase, and inverting it is common enough, done often to contrast.

Of course in this case, it was meant to contrast Mrs.Trump’s positive, patriotic outlook, with Michelle Obama’s angry, anti-American outlook. Which is actually brilliant on Donald Trump’s part.
