I used to work for a multinational company in which one of their core businesses was pharmaceutical clinical trial logistics. A colleague from a sister facility in England was visiting the plant a few months after the SNL skit. My colleague mentioned that how could some of us colonists vote for a person that is so stupid in claiming that she could see Russia from her home in Alaska. I told her that Gov. Palin never said that, my colleague scoffed. Then I showed her the Tina Fey SNL clip, just like that American politics was not discussed for the rest of her visit.

He and his campaign team stabbed her in the back and tried to make her the fall guy for his mistakes in 2008 and yet she never said a word against him. Frankly, that, more than anything, made me question her judgment and her ability to lead well.
And in the end, his family shut her out and did nothing but bad-mouth her so it was all for naught anyway!
Yes she was treated horribly. Also a reporter moved in next door and sat and photographed her family and made sure they did not have privacy once she was back home Nothing was done. My viewpoint is based upon having worked under him. He re-hired a person when he was elected Mayor who’d been fired as a Department head, got involved in Dave’s campaign to get back into his old position, and then had to resign before he could be confirmed by the Anchorage Assembly due to ethical lapses in both his personal business and conflicts between his Anchorage employment and his personal business.
Then Dave pressured a subordinate (Director-level) to award a contract without authorization of the funding from the Assembly – wasting a TON of money.
Dave was an embarrassment to those of us who are conservatives.
The politicians on stage seem to be connecting well, to the consitituents…

Ross Pero, it was our first rally. We were excited with Mr. Pero’s speech, and talked about for days. Mr. Pero received two(2) legitimate votes in 1992 and 1996!
We also attended a rally for Romney in 2012. It had NO energy, his speech was beyond boring, and its presentation was juvenile. His arrogance was cloying. The speech was very short and the park was emptied within minutes. I agree with President Donald John Trump when he said many times that Romney ought to have won 2012. The opportunity was presented on a gold tray!

Trump was right about the road from King Cove to Cold Bay. People did die because evacuation to Anchorage hospitals
was impossible for most of the winter months. I lived and fished out of Sand Point, AK (nearby King Cove) and we had a similar problem, but we lived on an island, where evacuation was totally weather related.. Thank you Trump for helping my friends in King Cove. I am in awe that Trump even mentioned our area of Alaska. It is truly an amazingly beautiful place when you can see it.

Alaska needs for the feds to unleash its infrastructure from regulatory hell: build a refinery to address heating fuel and diesel prices; build a natural gas pipeline through Fairbanks, and Delta Junction servicing multiple military bases and onto Valdez for export; authorize coal and nuclear power plants and cogen facilities at every military base also to supply local adjoining support communities; build a railroad from Fairbanks to Tok thereby opening Alaska’s fertile plain for grain, cattle, and development..Develop Alaska it is a great resource stymied by leftist regulatory lawfare.
If President Trump wants the icebreakers in Alaska then they should build a base for them. It makes sense for the Arctic Security Cutters to be based there. Keep one in Seattle for the Antarctic duty.

It’s very hard for a Republican to win under ranked choice voting. The Democrats run a 2nd candidate as a 3rd party entry. He gets enough votes to ensure no candidate gets 50.1%. The Republican will get the most votes but under 50.1%. Then all of the 3rd party candidate’s voters will put the Democrat as 2nd choice. The Democrat + the 3rd party candidate will edge out the Republican. Just like the Dems planned.
