Look at all of the resources sucked up by this criminal activity. Those who were shot are taken to the emergency room. Very expensive. Some require extra procedures like scans, surgeries, transfusions, perhaps ICU stays. The police have to investigate the shootings. If the perpetrators are caught, they are jailed, brought to court, tried or given plea deals, and many move on to prison. All of this is paid for by taxpayers.
The Cook County jail complex is like a small city. They have an average population of 9000 inmates. The Cook County Sheriff web site says they process 100,000 people per year. They have a large bus fleet to transport inmates to courts every weekday. Imagine the products going in (food, toilet paper, personal products, clothing) and the waste coming out. Imagine the number of people working in that facility. All paid for by taxpayers.

In news reports Poindexter says Scalia only once got off the truck when he watched the hunting. Somehow, sitting in a truck to stay warm in freezing weather while others go bird hunting does not strike me as a good time.
Poindexter says he went in to find the body with “an unidentified friend” of Scalia’s. Why is this “friend” unidentified?
Poindexter and Obama photo together, why is this not in the news?
Poindexter, now a millionaire: will he soon become a billionaire? Or will he too die a sudden death?

amwick, found this article on Pointdexter. Excerpt on his background… his business origins are in Wall Street and his acquisition of the ranch was a contentious protracted battle:
“He graduated with honors from the University of Arkansas in two years and eight months. He ran through New York Universityβs MBA program in a whirlwind nine months, then earned a Ph.D. in economics and finance from NYU while working as an investment banker on Wall Street. In between degrees, he volunteered for the Army, partly to fulfill family military tradition but largely to βtest his mettle.β He was president of his class at officer candidate school, an airborne ranger, and a captain and a troop commander during a highly decorated tour in Vietnam.”

Syria is getting serious.
Manbij –
After a month of Russian air strikes on the ISIS front in Manbij, it was the coalition that bombed and strafed yesterday. The attacks included two A-10 Warthogs. The Free Syrian Army (FSA/YPG) is now just 6km from the town ISIS calls Little London because of all the foreign fighters it has there.
Raqqah –

The Syrian Army has opened a new front on Raqqah’s front door.
The Syrian Arab Armyβs 555th Brigade of the 4th Mechanized Division β in close coordination with the National Defense Forces (NDF), Liwaa Suqour Al-Sahra (Desert Hawks Brigade), Fouj Al-Joulan (Golani Regiment), and the pro-government Palestinian militia βLiwaa Al-Quds) β imposed full control over several hills surrounding the imperative village of Zakiyah along the Salamiyah-Raqqa Road.

Yup, Ruskie 1st-line fighters flying cover for their bombers attacking Turk-supported anti-Assad forces based close to Turkey; Russia hinting it may establish Kurd-based provinces along the Syrian/Turkish border and may renew the US ‘safe zone’ for Kurds in Iraq.
Also, the US is BSing the folks about ISIS being knocked back on its heels when it may be able to retain control of Mosol through the end of this year. Meantime there’s still a steady supply of foreign fighters filtering in and there’s talk about ISIS even rejoining with al Qaeda to consolidate combat/combat support forces and ratchet up the action all around.

“Four U.S. Presidents were born in February. Two died in office. The other two served two full terms.
George Washingtonβs birthday was February 11, 1731, but when the Gregorian Calendar replaced the Julian Calendar in the West, eleven days were added, and for those whose birthdays were between January 1 and March 25, one year was added. Thatβs why we now regard his birthday as February 22, 1732. However, Washington always celebrated his birthday on February 11, no matter what calendar was in use. Although he served two full terms, he actually served fewer days than all his two-term successors. Thatβs because he was not sworn in until April 30, 1789. His term was supposed to start on March 4, but the Electoral votes were not counted until April 6.
William Henry Harrison was the oldest person elected President before Reagan. He gave the longest inaugural address and served the fewest days. Like Washington, he was a general in the army. His was born February 9, 1773 and died April 4, 1841. Forty-eight years later his grandson became the 23rd U.S. President.
Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12, 1809, the same day as Charles Darwin. His parents were Baptists, but Lincoln never formally joined any church. As an adult Lincoln mostly attended Presbyterian churches. He once said: βI do not think I could myself, be brought to support a man for office, whom I knew to be an open enemy of, and scoffer at, religion.β
Ronald Reagan was born February 6, 1911. In his 1985 State of the Union Address he said: βFreedom is not the sole prerogative of a chosen few; it is the universal right of all Godβs childrenβ¦ Victories against poverty are greatest and peace most secure where people live by laws that insure free press, free speech, and freedom to worship, vote, and create wealth.β

An interview with Jonathon Turley, George Washington University, Constitutional Law Professor who had some really nice things to say about Justice Scalia. The interview is actually about whether or not obuma should appoint someone to the court while congress is in recess.

Obama WILL appoint. The question is: will the Senate confirm?
Does anyone believe the Senate will NOT confirm whomever Obama chooses?

Found this on American Thinker re: Dems passed a resolution against election year appointment in 1960 to stop recess appointments. Not sure I’m reading it right but it sounds like 0bama may not be able to appoint anyone during the recess in January 2017.

With McConnell, McCain, Flake and Graham, Obama does not need to sneak in a recess appointment. Our guys are gathering the feather ticking as we type.

If I’m reading this right, seems 0bama may have a problem with an appointment to SCOTUS. The Dems passed a resolution against election year appointments in 1960.

The BGI fully intends to bankrupt Ferguson. The Ferguson City Council determined that it could not afford to pay for the overhaul of its Police Department and courts as required by its agreement with the federal government, an agreement made under the threat of being sued. So the City Council decided to adopt the agreement but with a few changes. Loretta Lynch was displeased so her BGI Justice Department sued Ferguson the next day. She said the people of Ferguson should not have to wait any longer for βtheir city to adopt an agreement that would protect their rights and keep them safe.β She doesn’t care about cost. She’s probably never had to make a budget in her entire life. I hope all of the remaining white people move out of Ferguson. Vacate. You have lost the war.
The next President can appoint a different AG, right? The BGI must be eradicated from the Justice Department.

Feb 12: U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch spent time with students in Miami-Dade Friday morning to discuss trust and the relationships between young people and the police. The conversation was part of a two-day stop in South Florida for the nation’s top cop. Lynch is making several stops across the nation to discuss policing issues and ways of building trust and cooperation between law enforcement and local citizens. Lynch met with students at Miami’s Booker T. Washington High School along with local law enforcement officials. After that, she held a roundtable on policing at Miami-Dade College. http://www.nbcmiami.com/news/local/US-Attorney-General-Loretta-Lynch-Visits-South-Florida-368445621.html
I think Lynch is worse than Holder. She’s on a one-woman mission to destroy race relations and ensure that a generations of black youth disrespect and fight the police.

Sandra, I always felt sorry for the decent citizens of Ferguson and suspect they would have left if they could when the rioting/looting/arson started but probably couldn’t due to crashing property values (like anyone would buy a home there even if it was dirt cheap) and/or a lack of funds.

A week before Mardi Gras a rather weird group of black nationalist squatters named the Washitah Nation kicked in the door of a house for sale in a New Orleans neighborhood. They changed the locks and, when the owner of the house called the police, the squatters claimed they owned the house. After the owner presented a deed and tax papers showing he owned the property the squatters claimed that through some weird and convoluted train of BS they actually owned the land. The police left, saying it was a civil matter.
Now the homeowner has to go through the entire civil court process of proving that he owns the land and then get an eviction process through the court. It could conceivably be months before the process is over (already be nearly a month) and it’s going to cost him a bundle, not counting what it will take to repair any damages. Yes, he could sue (back to civil court on that) but you know e squatters don’t have squat.
The city’s been hit with a wave of squatters and those with these ‘pulled out of their nether eye’ legal claims to ownership are growing in numbers. Jeepers, there are so many of them in the city, wonder why they don’t try squatting waaaaaay out here on our farms???

His homeowner’s insurance better be up to date. He’ll looking at $100,000 or more in losses.
Even if he’s successful in gaining eviction, they’ll take all the furniture and appliances, strip the copper piping and wiring, all the plumbing fixtures. They might even torch what’s left on the way out.
I’m serious, we are losing Western Civilization and plunging into the savagery and [lack of] morals and ethics of the Dark Continent. Europe as well.
