Removing “Politi-speak” With Plain Speak – VA Rep Dave Brat Interview On Current Politics…

Virginia Representative Dave Brat is the House conservative wolverine who took down Majority Leader Eric Cantor in 2014. A plain spoken constitutional and fiscal conservative who is EXACTLY the type of citizen legislature we need in Washington DC.

“Brat and Congressman Gary Palmer (R-AL6) sat down for an in-studio interview with Yellowhammer Radio host Cliff Sims to discuss the current climate in DC, some of the hottest political topics of the day, and the 2016 Presidential race.” (link)

Listen to the interview, it’s well worth your time. I’ll bet you find yourself listening to the entire 14 minutes because it’s profoundly refreshing to hear a wolverine discuss current DC politics without being attached to the GOPe machine.

Obviously the “budget talk” is near and dear to many, myself included – and it’s darn refreshing to hear we have representatives who actually ‘GET IT’. And, coincidentally, how those oft-diminished wolverines view Donald Trump’s Presidential efforts as possible light at the end of the tunnel.

Good example of framing the issues: GOPe and Chamber of Commerce want cheap labor, hence their stand on immigration. But at what cost? Let’s say an immigrant making $20,000 per year and is not paying much in taxes, and hastwo children. The children are in public school. That costs $12,500 per child, or $25’000. Who is going to pay for that?

Indeed, and by framing the issues and ending with that question, it really makes it apparent to all Americans how ridiculously expensive it is to have illegal immigrants here.

Why just look at the cheap labor part? It is free government paid health care for all of them. The medical industry loves government money. They are getting government food assistance. The food/grocer industry loves that free government money. Walmart loves them too.

Indeed. It was just the example he gave in the program. He could have continued along that line, but sometimes I think just one, good example is enough to have it really “settle in” to the listener.

It is respect for the electorate to hit one strong “guidance” point and EXPECT folks will fill out the rest for their/our selves. And indeed we do, as demonstrated here and wherever folks talk. And is he not stimulating that very talk we so desperately need to be doing???

It reminds me of what Trump says about how China kills us with trade yet we owe them money. It’s a magic act and the citizens are the ones who are the butt of the joke.

On a gold standard that would not happen where imbalance of trade is paid in gold. You either devalue your currency relative to gold which then makes Chinese products too expensive for us to buy, or you run out of gold. Our trade imbalance started in 1960 and has widened ever since. We failed to adjust the dollar relative to gold and instead started stacking debt overseas. We have no hard means to adjust our currency and control our trade imbalance.

If we stop the overspending we are going to go into a depression. They will keep the game going as long as they can.

Really liked this post and this representative.
Then you have teachers and their unions who aren’t going to be happy with Trump if it means loss of jobs.
In my California coastal town, there is a downward trend of illegal immigrants due to automation and business changes in the Nursery business. The schools have lost so many students that the district is now having a budget crisis. They only get $9,000 per student and we had a significant latino population that arrived in the 70’s with many spanish and bi-lingual classes. Kids born here would graduate and not be literate in English, really terrible and a program failure by the activists. Many residents choose to go outside the district or to private schools…that trend may change.
Many Latino families who used to work here have moved to Arkansas to work in the chicken processing plants. They are not going back to Mexico, just moving on.

What other Dem and Republican “groups” who will target Trump will be screaming “Racist”?

I haven’t watch a single NASCAR race since they DUMPED TRUMP! I hope they lost BIG this year over that, and the Confederate Flag b.s.

““It’s obvious that Mr. Trump’s ‘Make America Great Again’ theme is resonating with NASCAR fans, who collectively are some of the most patriotic voters in the United States,” explained David Carrington, president of RacingUSA.com and an elected county commissioner in Jefferson County, Alabama. “Not only did Trump do well with Republicans, he also showed strength with Independents and Democrats.”

In addition to garnering fan support, at least one NASCAR driver has endorsed Trump as well. Korbin Forrister, who competes in NASCAR’s Camping World Truck Series, painted “Trump For President” across the hood of his truck for a race earlier this year.

“I support Donald Trump, and I wanted to show it in this race,” Forrister told ESPN. “We didn’t have a paint scheme, and I figured it would be a cool race to do it. It is 100 percent me. I wanted to do it.””

TL, That’s only the “hood” if he’s sliding backwards ! Technically, I believe they now refer to it as the “deck, or rear deck” ! Or to go all “Englishspeak race car terms” the part in front of the driver is the “bonnet” and the part behind is the “boot” .

But support is where you find it !

Thank you, Sundance, for pursuing this story, this commitment, and this purposefulness on the part of Donald Trump. Magnificent investigative reporting and commitment on your part. I mention this blog wherever I go on the internet. America is great, but we must reconstruct some of what has been purposefully deconstructed.

One new issue that has come to my attention; wish I could find the link. Amazon owner, Jeff Bezos, is considering investing in a massive wind farm– another idiot CEO who has crony-corporation flashes in front of his eyes. Not on my taxes! Not on government subsidies. Want to invest? Make sure its profitable. I depend on Amazon for many purchases and for quality information about them. I am writing to tell him that I will stop buying from his corporation. If others find the same information, perhaps we can “team up”.

    Immigrants:
    #1- they must speak English
    #2-there must be a quota.
#3- there should be at least 5 people interviewing each immigrant on different days to make sure they speak English.
#4-if you don’t speak English, you get deported.
In Miami, it’s a REQUIREMENT to speak Spanish and English. WHY??? because of the Hispanic majority. this will slowly travel North and more people will understand where I’m coming from.

Particularly lik this bit, and it very much expresses why Trump has so much support.

Billionaire businessman Donald Trump, in particular, has been successful in framing the nation’s narrative thus far in the election cycle, Brat said.

“He’s unique, he’s got the business success, and he’s so big that… If the press goes after him, he goes back after the press. That’s unheard of. He’s fearless on any issue. He comes out on the biggest issues, that are the toughest ones and gives a bunch of sub-bullet points that are controversial, and is willing to go head-to-head against the most powerful forces in the country.

FEARLESS……. That’s what we need. Not a cowering sympathizer of our enemies. Although the cowering is what’s perceived, when in reality, it’s the sympathizer part that’s killing us!

Wish Brat represented our state. He’s smart. Another thing I liked was his voice. He is not one of the Southerners who have a voice coach and end up sounding like a Harvard professor. Brat is real.
