The White House is famous for blocking press photographers from covering President Obama events and only releasing official white house photographs to the media.  The Obama administration is so intent on controlling ‘optics’ the press corps has even sent demand letters and threatened lawsuits.
Of course the ‘most transparent administration never’, just ignores or even ridicules the media requests.  Heck, only one picture of President Obama during the Benghazi attack (9/11/12) was ever released, and that release was four months later.
Part of the reason for the control is likely because they are such an unhappy bunch they are in a general disposition of perpetual grumpiness.  Typical liberals.  However, even the official photographer, Peter Souza, screws up once in a while and accidentally shows Michelle in her natural state, full-blown scowl mode.
