Three More People Killed Sunday – Baltimore’s May Murder Rate Breaks Records – Deadliest Month In 40 Years…

Here’s an interesting little snippet buried in the data:

[…]  During April’s riots, thousands of dollars in narcotics and other drugs were stolen from more than 20 Baltimore pharmacies. Twenty-seven pharmacies reported damage during the unrest.

BALTIMORE – With three men killed in eastside shootings on Sunday, Baltimore recorded its deadliest month in more than 40 years..

Baltimore leadership

The 43 killings in May surpassed the 42 homicides the city saw in August 1990, and left Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake defending police and her administration.

Speaking at a morning ceremony to honor McKenzie Elliott, the 3-year-old killed by a stray bullet in August, Rawlings-Blake said it’s time to stop finger-pointing and assigning blame for the recent violence.

The killing of African-Americans in Baltimore has to stop, she said, noting that 189 of the 208 killed last year were black men. For the city to improve, all homicides need to drop, she added.

“We have to do better,” the mayor said. “We have to want more.”

baltimore mayor faceCity Councilman Brandon Scott, vice chair of the public safety committee, echoed that theme, saying it’s time for all Baltimoreans to have honest conversations about ways to stop the violence.

There isn’t one solution or one person who shoulders the blame, he said, adding that homicides affect all residents in the city, not just those in the poorest neighborhoods.

“Too many people have died in our town,” he said Sunday afternoon. “Don’t point fingers or go to social media. Everybody has to look in the mirror and ask, ‘What are they doing?'” (read more)

They scold from a raised dias that people need to look at themselves. They seem to miss the blazingly obvious point that the apex of blame rests with THEM. In many cultures, the honorable thing to do would be to resign. Not in Baltimore. A tide of death that exceeds wartime casualty rolls in their town merits showboating at a racist circus and general jackassery. What gravitas. What dignity.

I believe that the mayor and the police chief kind of sort of get it and are trying to keep off the radar. Mosby appears to not have read that memo.

The other thing that they hope people don’t look too closely at is the mantra about “poverty” and how so many US children live in “poverty”, etc etc etc.

Most reasonable people would define “poverty” as actually being impoverished somehow – inadequate shelter, access to clean water, food, schooling, medical care etc.

However, the majority of people the UN cites as living in “poverty” in the US are not “impoverished” in the sense we typically think about “poverty”. They have adequate shelter, often paid for entirely by other people. They have access to clean water and food choices. Their children have the opportunity to go to school for 12 years or more, at no cost to them. They are clothed, and have access to video games, the internet, cell phones to upload their disturbing mob wilding videos with and so on.

The UN has admitted that the entire “poverty” meme is a racket by citing that the definition of “poverty” is classified by how many people live in the lowest quintile of any population.

“Child poverty in the US is the worst in the developed world”

Nearly one third of U.S. children live in households with an income below 60 percent of the national median income in 2008 – about $31,000 annually

      http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/wp/2014/10/29/child-poverty-in-the-u-s-is-among-the-worst-in-the-developed-world/

So according to the UN and the Grievance industry that likes to parrot their numbers, if the “national median income” of the US rises, the number that defines “poverty” also rises. It has nothing to do with actual living conditions and/or access to basic needs. Based on this assumption, “poverty” will never be eradicated, ever.

However, it’s language that is designed to provoke guilt – and “wealth redistribution” without any real close inspection or challenge.

Likewise, the BGI and their enablers have demanded policies that allow the underclass “space” to mob, to wild, to terrorize, to steal, rape, rob and murder without repercussions, and then want to be shocked with the results of this “no judgy” strategy.

      • Exactly right, ytz – once you add the value of food stamps, subsidized housing, free medical care (including braces that many, many families making $45,000 – $60,000 a year cannot afford for THEIR kids), AFDC or whatever they call it these days, not to mention subsidized utilities including cell phones and internet, etc. many of these “below poverty”
households have far more disposable income than many who work full-time to support their families. In addition to ALL of that, almost every one of them has a “disability” and there’s a check for that, too.

The problem isn’t “poverty” with these people. The problem is complete and utter lack of discipline, ability to delay gratification, sense of entitlement and completely decayed moral values. Poverty means not having enough money to buy the latest iPhone the day it comes out and the solution is crime. Poverty means not having enough money to buy matching Nike tennis shoes and hats to match each outfit and the solution is crime. Poverty means not having enough money to put TeePees on their car and the solution is crime.

They sell their food stamps and could care less if their children go hungry, have clean diapers, etc. Nothing is enough and there is zero appreciation for what they DO get. In fact, they resent it and think they deserve more.

The mayor and the police chief both need to keep their mouths closed, because they make idiotic comments every time they open them. Just this past week, the mayor implied that the traffic jams on five of the major thoroughfares into the city was the result of the police, NOT the result of protesters led by the allegedly Rev. Jamal Bryant who were blocking traffic. Like I mentioned to Sundance, the police chief has only worn his uniform when conducting interviews ONCE since the riots – all other times he is dressed in a suit and tie. The Mosbys are into self aggrandizement.

  6. I had no illusions that the record wouldn’t be broken. Black lives don’t matter when it’s Blacks who are taking the lives of other Blacks. I remember seeing an interview of a Black mother who had just lost a son to a gang shooting who said “Dat’s jus da way it be in da hood”. Turned out Momma herself was a “gangbanger” , and just after the interview was published, her second son was killed in the same manner. You can take the “tribes” out of the jungle, but it seems you can’t take the jungle out of the “tribes”.

God’s truth, I’ve seen exactly four cops in the 3+ years we’ve been here, not counting state highway troopers on the interstates. That’s about one per year. And it’s my guess that there are probably less than 1% of that same population that don’t own firearms, with many having carry permits.

My city has a majority AA population, a sizeable Vietnamese community, and significant, fairly recent increase in illegal hispanic immigrants. We have pretty high crime rates. I live within 5 miles of the center of the city. My wife and I have cc licenses. We pay attention to what’s going on around us. We don’t leave our stuff unlocked. We come and go as we please. We have friends and activities in virtually every part of the city, but we’re not stupid enough to ignore the facts about certain, particular, high-crime areas.

Knocking wood, we’ve never been victim of any significant crime (some minor thefts around our house years ago). Our interactions with LLEOs, regardless of race, have been respectful and overall positive (last one, an AA–“Sir, your tail lights are out.” “Sorry officer, we’re restoring this car and going right back to the garage now to work on it.” “OK, this is just a warning. Definitely take it right home–cool car.”) So, no, it’s not really about race. The focus on skin color is what BGI and the puppet masters behind them are using to distract and divide us all from the real, manipulative, authoritarian agenda.

I had the misfortune of being forced to eavesdrop on the musical choices of the young man in the vehicle next to me at a stoplight yesterday. I believe he was ferrying was is colloquially known as a “donk”.

At extremely high volume, I was invited to share the musicians sad lament (it was the chorus, so I got to enjoy several rounds) about his need to evacuate his bowels urgently and apparently, explosively. It was, shall we say, inspirational. I can’t imagine how I have been sheltered from such cultural accomplishment.

That, in sum, explains to me Baltimore’s problem and why the “fix” must come from within, and will not be “fixed” by external forces. Nothing in Baltimore, or in any other “urban” hellhole, will change until the people that live there make the choice to change – how they live their lives, and what they choose to value and exalt. Glorifying the ode to explosively evacuating bowels should not be high on that list, artistically “edgey” or not.

More money mindlessly handed over, so that the upper echelon of the BGI can get their skim first, is not the solution. This has been proven time and time again, whether it’s housing, or jobs, or school funding. http://www.cato.org/publications/policy-analysis/money-school-performance-lessons-kansas-city-desegregation-experiment

A core issue Mosby refuses to address – because the challenges it presents are uncomfortable – is that her core constituency of the perpetually aggrieved and angry don’t have the core skills to survive in the new economy – which is, once again, on the cusp of another revolutionary breakthrough. Her constitutents are, allegorically, modern day buggy whip manufacturers who are both puzzled and angry that the buggy whip industry has evapourated, and therefore, “someone” is to (a) be blamed for this situation and (b) be responsible for bringing back the buggy whip making “opportunities”.
The abstract thinking required to survive and thrive in the “new” economy is beyond the abilities of those who have been left behind – figuratively – once white and middle class black flight is factored in.

Nope, that’s never going to happen, because where that “honest conversation” leads is nowhere the BGI wants to visit.

When we were living in Paris and would take the regional trains to outlying exurbs, we would pass shantytowns inhabited by illegal Afro emigres squatting along the railway right-of-ways. They would be living in makeshift shelters of cardboard and scavenged scrap metal and wood, be cooking over open flames and using the local parks as their “latrines”, but most had SATELLITE DISHES hooked up to pilfered electric service. NONE OF THEM had any “clue” about how white people actually provided the standard of living they (white people) enjoyed, they all just think it’s “magic” somehow and white people are selfish for not wanting to share some of that First World Standard of Living Magic with them. A recent documentary interviewed many hopeful migrants in Africa who intended to try and cross the Med and enter Europe. On camera, future migrant after future migrant stated that it is the “obligation” of whites in the Western world to provide jobs and a First World standard of living to them.

The Fabians continue to import large numbers of people who can never fully assimilate into Western civilization, and that is by design, while deliberately excluding the motivated and talented from other First World Nations.

Canada finally had some deep introspection and did a study which concluded that migrants from Least Developing Countries, even with outsized social supports and subsidies, NEVER become self-sufficient, and continue to be a net loss to the Canadian taxpayer, and that this trend continues with the second generation, native born children they have in Canada. As a result, Canada has begun the shift to a “points based” immigration screening system, which is not regional or ethnic biased, but is based on skills and likelihood of successful integration into existing Canadian society and culture.

It’s past time to tell the BGI that the issue is NOT a lack of money or resources “invested” (ie: thrown away) into “urban” communities. Decades of BGI friendly policies and trillions of dollars later, the problems are worse, not better.

And yes, we are giving other people a chance to leapfrog over native born Americans. This is not a new problem. When I graduated in the 1980’s, we protested because the Canadian government allowed foreign students from “developing countries” to study in our classes, with all their expenses paid for by the Canadian taxpayer as part of “foreign aid”, to then be given permanent resident cards and compete with us in the shrinking job markets – and to add insult to injury, we had student debt to repay, and they had NONE!

I think these other nations allegedly filled to the brim with the “brightest and the best” should show us that by creating products and innovations in their home countries that WE stampede to buy, I’ll be convinced, but for now, the US still leads in innovation, while everyone else steals/copies/modifies/improves upon US created ideas and technologies.

Two family members work for a U.S. company that installed thousands of those touch screens in European markets, gas stations, etc. during the early to mid-1990s. The screens are very successful in multiple ways, so it’s just a matter of time before the U.S. adopts them, leaving those $15/hour fast-food workers out of a job.

Considering that those jobs were marvelous training programs for my high school friends, family and me (all of whom now hold very successful positions requiring customer satisfaction), it is a shame that such positions are not considered “starter” jobs leading to making better decisions about college studies, careers and lifestyles. And the problem has developed for one reason: No one dares tell the “underclass” that they shouldn’t look at their Mickey D’s job as a “career”, and they shouldn’t expect to feed a family on it, and oh by the way, they might want to hold off creating that family until they’ve worked themselves up from their McDonald’s starter job.

Not to be captain obvious here but it seems to me that by lowering the population of black men, that would lower the victim pool. Obama could spearhead a program to perform a selective service type system for Baltimore to perform sex change operations on 50% of the black male population. A white president could not get away with this but with Obama at the helm, it would be OK.

The remaining 50% of the male population is going to be so busy trying to service all those women they are not going to have time to go around shooting people. Problem solved.

Police need to be allowed to police and put criminal thugs in jail. Too bad so sad if those thugs happen to be AFRICAN Americans. Rawlings-Blake and Mosby need to STFU and let it happen.
That’s the solution to the problem they’ve created through their racist blabbering.

You are aware that the DOJ is strong-arming PD across the country into accepting “consent decrees”, which in essence, are federal oversight and guidelines, without formally calling it so.

The black criminal class barely spends the time in jail their crimes merit now. Witness the fruits of that policy, most recently culminating in the mass murder of a family in their own home in a toney part of DC. Their alleged killer had had many “interactions” with LEO, and none resulted in any meaningful jail time, leaving him free to blackmail, extort, torture and kill an entire family.

Yep. How can there be a school-to-prison pipeline with so many black career criminals running the streets? Trayvon had a history (perhaps a juvie record, perhaps not, because his school system was playing hide the salami). All signs pointed to Mike Brown having a juvie record, plus his video’d strong arm robbery at the convenience store. Eric Garner and Freddie Gray both had extensive records. And as you mentioned, that piece of garbage in DC wiping out that family after many hours of torturing them.

Right now the Baltimore police are on an “unofficial strike”(for lack of a better term).

In my opinion, they should ramp this up to a full blown official strike. Go all the way with it.

The police union leaders and their lawyers need to publicly declare that the terms of the union contract have been violated by government officials(Mosby, the mayor, etc.). Then the police should declare a formal walk out date if Mosby and the mayor do not acknowledge their errors and fix them(which they won’t and can’t).

Let Mosby and the Mayor have the city 100% to themselves without any police around.

But what troubles me more these days is hearing about police casualties like the one a week or two ago, the young woman who had given birth to a preemie, and was about to start her official maternity leave the next day — the day her newborn was finally coming home from the hospital. Shot dead by some piece of filth.

I’ll take the mayor’s approach any day, not that I agree with her in any way, shape or form. But she doesn’t make me want to throw something when I look at her.

After all, Mosby had 6 cops arrested for Freddy Gray’s death even when she lied about the knife, which the city applauded, the Mayor gave thugs a place to destroy/loot. I feel terribly sorry for the law abiding AA people that have a job, support their families, perhaps they are becoming a minority within a minority.

Allen so true, it’s irksome/tiresome, & I’m becoming numb to the same rhetoric, it’s different city over/over, same bullchit w/the looting/rioting/burning of businesses. Fox did a piece on “where are the black leaders? When the murders started, they disappeared.” (I’ll look for the link.) Imo, the grifters left because of the low cap of $ 200,000.00 in a Civil Suit case by Freddy Gray’s family when it comes & there are attorney’s 2 I think, that will take 40% of the total settlement.

Pray for Americans, Obama has plenty more destruction to do to our Country before he leaves office. Our military didn’t die so thugs could loot/riot/murder. Our military died for our freedom, it’s heartbreaking to see what America is becoming at the hands of America.

Did the cops kill any of them?

I’m looking for the article I ran across yesterday where a politician was complaining the reason the cops find themselves in a situation where they have to kill someone is because they chase them when they run.

I swear to God! I would love that policy. I couldn’t catch but the slow ones anyway! Look back and I got you. Put your head down and sprint in a straight line and you’ll get away. It’s physics. I’m old, slightly overweight, carrying 20lbs of gear and usually boots. You are young, scared, wearing baggy shorts and weight 140 and outside the stolen shit you got, or the gun or the drugs, you aren’t weighed down at all.

Yet, I’ve seen cops catch them. One I had with me ran by me like a flash and ran down the bad guy in less than eighty yards. Another was a former offensive lineman- nearly two hundred and sixty pound of HUGE! He ran down to 16yr olds doing car burglaries. They were sprinting (many kids don’t play sports or run much anymore. So they can sprint, in a hundred yards they are toast) and when they looked back here comes this wall of a man bearing down on them. They just stopped and balled up, waiting for the impact.

Point is, they NEW policy desired by the government is the police simply let fleeing criminals go. Which means they will all run. Hell, I’ll run!

I saw a heartbreaking clip of a Vietnamese couple that had a little grocery store downstairs and lived upstairs w/the grandparents/mama/daddy/kids/relatives but it was looted then burned to the ground & they had no insurance. Mosby’s statement of “it’s only property” wasn’t comforting to these innocent people that lost everything & angered me even more.

Mr. Izz, you are right, many across America have been arrested for posting their crimes on instagram/facebook, lately many Seniors that are black/white that are entering empty homes for sale to celebrate graduation totally trashing the homes, one home had over $ 200,000.00 in damage. The teens are being arrested & being held accountable for the damage.

I commented it was good to go on Social Media to educate those that wanted facts. I was referring to reading now in National Media Article comment sections, many educated on the facts are bit*h slappinig those that support the thugs/racist/hate LE w/the facts on whose committing the Crimes. Of course the thugs get their education from Kayne/Jay Z, who rap about the “Poooolice deserving to die/America still thinks blacks are slaves.” It’s enough to make you puke, and sadder for our country that those that buy into the bullchit have less than an average IQ.
