Petraeus Set To Plead Guilty – Remove Himself From The Clutches Of Obama/Clinton Blackmail….

CNN is reporting, through Evan Perez again, that General David Petraeus is expected to plead guilty to a federal probe that he gave classified pillow-talk intelligence to Paula Broadwell during their affair in 2011/2012.

It should be noted, however, that Evan Perez was recently the CNN reporter who presented an entirely false story about a DHS report on Soverign Citizens where he portrayed the report as DHS worried about right-wing extremist groups. Nothing in his interpretation of the report was even remotely accurate – it was manufactured from left-wing ideological loin cloth (backstory).

According to the CNN article:

(CNN)—Gen. David Petraeus is expected to plead guilty to federal charges to end a probe into whether he provided classified information to his mistress when he was CIA director, according to a U.S. official briefed on the matter.

An announcement about the proposed plea agreement could come later Tuesday. The New York Times first reported the plea deal talks, which would effectively end the Justice Department investigation. (link)

Petraeus was sworn in September 6, 2011 as director of the Central Intelligence Agency. A little more than a year later, on November 9, 2012, he resigned from his CIA post, citing personal reasons. During his tenure the 9/11/12 Benghazi attack took place.

General David Petraeus and Paula BroadwellIt is substantively believed the Broadwell affair was used by Washington DC political entities to remove Petraeus because his knowledge represented a risk to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s joint State Department and CIA operations in Libya (2011) and expanded to Syria in 2012.  [SEE THE BENGHAZI BRIEF]

Leon Panetta was the CIA Director when Operation Zero Footprint was authorized and began, but he left the CIA about 4 months later (June 30th, 2011) and was replaced by General David Petraeus (August/Sept 2011).

Under this principle you can see that General Petraeus had ZERO liability for the origin of the Benghazi weapons deals – it was a joint State Dept/CIA program already being conducted when Petraeus arrived. If it blew up, it was not his political problem – THIS MADE PETRAEUS A RISK (link)

During the height of the Benghazi controversy Petraeus’s removal put Clinton ally, CIA’s Mike Morrel in a better position to hide the Clinton footprint on the explosive covert operations. After Morrel filled in for Petraeus during congressional testimony Morrel resigned and took a position with CBS (facilitated by Benghazi talking points Ben Rhodes) and Team Clinton.

With Petraeus accepting a deal today, and admitting his poor judgment, he is effectively removing the looming three year blackmail threat held over his head.

I am banned from every left wing website I have ever visited. Off the top of my head I can’t post on Daily Kos, Media Matters, Huffington Post, and Salon.

I would submit, though, that we are better than the need to suppress speech in any form. Yes, its purpose is to confuse. Yes,it often succeeds with the weak minded.

But in the past 4 years or so, conservatives have gotten smart enough not just to pile on these people, but to embarrass them in the eyes of anyone who is not a complete imbecile. And you can’t fix stupid.

Moot point – like North he’s a good soldier who knows when to throw himself on his sword. I’m sure that, like North, friends and faithful will ensure that he gets a slap on the hand and lots of spare-change-making engagements subsequent to his sacrifice. Even if he’s convicted his retirement’s safe, so aside from ego and extraneous income (both of which I’m sure will be salved at the appropriate time) what’s the big whoop?

    • smiley says:

will he be put on probation ?
if so, for how long ?
coinciding with the 2 yrs left before 2016 ?

Well let’s see, revoking his security clearance, passing/releasing classified information….who cares, I surely don’t……after this whole affair with Paula. …facing his wife, “Peaches” is punishment enough. Peaches is a sweet lady!

  3. It is all so constructed and orchestrated it really is disgusting. Valerie Jarrett and Barry put together the story they want told, and they pull in the puppeteers and actors to play it out. If the public buys it and the actors pull it off, then they get rewarded. If the public doesn’t buy it and something leaks out, then the actors become sacrificial lambs. It truly is the dark side.

What a shame, for a soldier such as himself. Check out patches, badges, and the ribbons on that chest. They are not handed out as party favors

I can understand how the General slipped up within his family, yet he must take the blame. Hopefully, he and his wife have had some serious talks about how both made bad decisions in their marriage and have gone on to better and more honest communication.

Having said that, I turn my attention to those who most “profit” by this indiscretion. They appear to have sidelined this man from serving his country. Bad move on their part.

Hopefully, such idiots will pay a price. As a country, we are weaker from this mess, which is just what B. Hussein O. seeks.

Our founding fathers must be rolling over in their graves! Bill Ayers and Rev. Wright are certainly smirking, thinking that they have created this “get even doll” which others are forced to play with when we need just the opposite.

American haters are in the driver’s seat…can’t wait for the upcoming crash!

Was Petraeus continued silence re: Benghazi part of the plea agreement? Put absolutely nothing, no matter how foul, putrid, or dirty, past Comrade Obama & Co

    • Dixie Darling says:

it had to have been; otherwise, he wouldn’t have been given this deal. 5 years per lie and $230,000 fine per lie as opposed to 2 years on probation and a $40,000 fine + immunity from all other charges? Just the fact that he was given immunity from all other charges tells us that they made him promise to keep his mouth shut. They had to know he would spill his guts if that wasn’t part of the deal. Now he’s got to live with that knowledge for the rest of his life and that will be hard on a man like Petraeus.

The devil and company know how to apply torture.

  13. TheLastDemocrat says:

The relationship with the young lady may have been known to some before Petraeus was sworn in Sept 2011 as CIA director. The knowledge of the affair may have been a characteristic contributing to the selection of Petraeus.

Broadwell, the young lady, would have been known to many for her scholarly activities in 2010, if not before.

Getting Petraeus in as CIA head may have been a deliberate strategy to keep the Benghazi operation, the transfer of American arms to Syrian rebels through Turkey, from ever being well-illuminated.

Getting good people into the wrong positions is a political strategy for making it appear as if a leader, or a party, is really working toward good, while thwarting good.

Samuel Yette discusses this strategy specifically regarding the Johnson administration’s apparent efforts toward the problem of Black economic and social progress, during the civil rights era. Yette was, among other accomplishments, a journalist covering the civil rights movement for Newsweek in the 1960s-1970s.

Chapter 2 of his book “The Choice,” includes examples of this political strategy of moving effective people around in order to retard true progress.

(Yette lost his Newsweek job soon after.)

@TheLastDemocrat: You are exactly right – this affair was known by the FBI one year prior of Petreaus being selected as CIA Director although Brennan was suppose to take Petreaus place at the CIA.
This administration including Hillary needed ‘a tool’ so-to-speak and by picking Petreaus they spared Brennan as the planned position. – who really needs to be illuminated carrying out black ops throughout the world); Brennan and his firm were the ones accessing this president passport records during the 2008 election to ‘scrub’ undesired information while the charge of accessing all records was just a ruse.
The General became their tool; as they kept him on ice for the past 2+ years and away from Trey Gowdy.
Hopefully – Gowdy somehow speaks to Petreaus and General Carter Ham – while investigating Benghazi.
