President Obama Congratulates Spurs For Hiring Female Coach While Completely Ignoring Death of Two Star Combat General Harold Greene…

Sometimes we finding ourselves asking why do we even bother to point out these contrasting narratives.   The sad reality is that people do that which is important to them, and they avoid that which is unimportant.   The same principle applies to President Obama.

Basketball-fan-in-chief Barack Obama personally took to Twitter on Wednesday to congratulate the San Antonio Spurs on becoming the first team in the NBA to hire a full-time female coach.

The 2014 championship team announced on Tuesday they had hired former Colorado State standout Becky Hammond as an assistant to head coach Gregg Popovich. (link)

As you can see the “official” Barack Obama “-BO” message was sent shortly following a press conference where he discussed the African Summit and various topics of interest to the media.

In addition to various African Union topics President Obama also mentioned: The ebola virus, Israel and Gaza, fighting in the Ukraine, an intransient congress, immigration reform, freedom of the press and terrorism.

major general Harold GreeneWhat The Commander In Chief of the U.S. Military did not mention, yet again, was any aspect of the loss of a two star general.

Major General Harold Greene was killed Tuesday while serving in Afghanistan.

But, the first general killed in combat since 9/11/01 did not warrant even a tweet of appreciation, regards or sympathy from the commander in Chief.  Not even an honorable mention.

Not a word Tuesday, and not even during a scheduled press conference yesterday.

But hey, the San Antonio Spurs hired a female assistant basketball coach.

……And Obama’s attention to her efforts most certainly had an impact.

Then again, maybe he only did it because his boss told him to ?

For Obama, Afghanistan has already left his memory bank. Any U.S. military still there are non-existent to him. What a contemptible little dictator spreading his official written favors to those who do not matter.

In Obama’s case, he’s simply a shallow person, totally unsuited for the job that he managed to dupe enough of the public into giving him. The second time can be easily attributed to a fair number of American citizens having very, very hard heads.

The death of a general is a failure and Obama has too many on his plate to bring attention to another. Elections cannot come soon enough.

    probably not a liberal
Why would a liberal, terrorist funding, 1%’er, fun loving introvert recognize him?

SD, I think the best sentence in this post was your first one:
“Sometimes we finding ourselves asking why do we even bother to point out these contrasting narratives.”

I am almost at the point where I don’t even want to read the “outrage, shock, OMG, can’t believe it” stuff anymore. I’m not shocked anymore, and I already DO believe it. The in-depth research articles you and others contribute are different.

My two cents: I’d like to see the cumulative energy, wisdom, experience and creativity of the fabulous folks here brainstorming for survival, figuring out ways to face what’s coming and foil and destroy the petty tyrants and their agendas.

Yep and he stood in the Rose garden with Bergdahl’s parents, I didn’t see him at Dover AFB this morning welcoming the General or offering sympathy to his family. Priorities indeed.

Well, my two cents, if he doesn’t see a political advantage to it, the news doesn’t matter. It’s ALL political.
