President Obama Claims Benghazi A “Phoney Scandal”….

Apparently the four people killed were not his kind of “smidgens”…

However, if we can push the TRUTH behind the “BENGHAZI BRIEF” into the consciousness of the electorate and industrial media complex – there might be an opportunity to wipe that smidgen smirk off his face.

Operation Zero Footprint

WASHINGTON DC – President Obama charged that his Republican opponents had “nothing to offer except cynicism and fear and frustration” during a fundraiser Thursday in Minnesota.

The fundraiser capped off a day Obama spent with Rebekah Erler, a working mother who wrote the president to detail her financial struggle.

“It moved me,” Obama said of the letter, adding that he only went into politics to help people like her.

obama-smirkingObama said he remembered what it felt like to be struggling to figure out “how you lead a good life and raise your kids, not looking to get wildly wealthy… trying to make ends meet.

That’s what we should be talking about every day in Washington,” he said. “We talk about everything else. .. We talk about phony scandals. We talk about Benghazi. and we talk about polls and we talk about the tea party and we talk about the latest controversy… We don’t talk about her.” (read more)

Yes, President Obama, we talk about real issues. Real problems. Real scandals. Real things that happen that you ignore, pretend didn’t happen, and count on the media to protect you from. How many other mothers are frustrated with what you’re doing in the White House? Do you listen to them? Do you visit them? Do you care about them?

    • Susan M. says:

Yes. Mr. President, what about Sean Smith’s Mother?

    • joshua says:

over 100,000 signatures on the White House website regards the marine in Mexican prison…and NOTHING AT ALL from the White House re rescue efforts….But he has time and money to fly to MINNESOTA for a burger and ice cream with a whiner mommy type living in a $300,000 house who is having a tough time paying her mortgage and her day care bills……while a MARINE IS IN JAIL ON BREAD AND WATER AND BEATEN????

  3. lovemygirl says:

I can only hope that the families of those that died decide to go nuclear on the President in the press for making that remark.

  4. justfactsplz says:

Well if he ran for office to help people like Rebekah, I’m guessing she is either black or muslim.

    • joshua says:

she is white whiney woman…he meets her in a BAR for a burger…..that classifies her as a useful tool only…unlike the KOBE steaks at the White House for the Hollywood swells he and Moose entertain on our money.

  5. jakeandcrew says:

Does he not see the hypocrisy?

He says he remembers the struggle to live a good life, “…not trying to get wildly wealthy…trying to make ends meet.” And yet he’s speaking to a crowd that payed “…from $10,000 per person to $32,400 per couple” for their tickets. (Not to mention his own extravagant lifestyle, paid for by those of us who truly are trying to make ends meet.)

Tired of the hypocrisy, the arrogance, the corruption.

  6. Ellie says:

Folks, Obama is doing what Obama does….the ONLY reason he is allowed to get away with this is because of a compliant and corrupt press. The focus needs to be on the corrupt press who allows him to get away with this. Do any of you for a moment believe that if President Romney was in office, the press would cover his backside like this? Think about it. We (collectively) as a nation need to bankrupt the news corporations that allow this. Don’t buy any of their products. Shut off your television sets, stop listening to public radio, cancel your cable/satellite TV. Stop buying newspapers. Get your news from sites like this, that are trustworthy. Starve the beast that is dumbing us down!

Jakeandrew says it best: tired of the hypocrisy, the arrogance, the corruption. Well said.

I’m still trying to figure out how he’s going to “vet the moderate Syrian rebels” before bestowing training and arms on them. What exactly is the profile of a moderate Syrian rebel?

  8. GoneGalting says:

Of all the scandals he could have mentioned, I wonder why he chose Benghazi? American lives were lost.

    • What’s even more appalling, GG, is that President Obama’s OWN appointed Ambassador Chris Stevens was one of those killed. And yet he calls the circumstances surrounding his assassination, a phony scandal? These were his people in Benghazi, working for him, implementing his policies. President Obama is dead inside. So is Hillary Clinton. How could they lie to the faces of the relatives of their fallen colleagues?

    • Stormy says:

      To irritate us.

    • LetJusticePrevail" says:

He chose Benghazi because it is the most serious scandal, and one that can be traced directly back to him and, even worse, to the troll he plans to support as his successor. This is just part of the “If you tell a lie often enough, it becomes the truth” strategy. Dems will pound on this drum loudly, whenever they fear it’s not being forgotten by the voters.

I find it quite interesting that a letter from someone in MN moved him enough to go there, yet his Fellow Folk in Detroit, MI, where the conditions are so deplorable that they have to go to the UN to get any attention, from anyone.

But then again, that might destroy the fallacy that, “OBL is dead, AK is on the run, and GM is alive.”

Let’s talk about St. Anthony, Minnesota’s Rebekah Erler’s letter to Obama and some advice for her… which she isn’t going to like one little bit. Too bad.
    Thursday, June 26, 2014
Today, Obama had lunch (and photo op) with Rebekah Erler of St. Anthony Park, Minnesota, who wrote him a letter to complain about how hard her life is. And by gosh, the “ribbon cutter” president is supposed to do something about it.
“I was frustrated,” Erler said. “I paid for my family’s mortgage payment and our child care payment all on the same day and was really frustrated at how much it all cost.”
That was the moment I really decided like, “Somebody has to say something about this,”’ Erler told CBS News. “This is nuts. It costs more in Minnesota to send kids to daycare than it does to send them to in-state college.”
    In the same story:
The Erlers both work and have two children in preschool which, according to Rebekah, costs more than their mortgage.
    And more from this story:
In her letter to Obama, Erler wrote about her husband’s struggles to find a reliable job, the high costs of groceries and childcare, and the burden of paying off student loans. Obama said those challenges, while pervasive, are ones the government can help address.
Let’s review what we know for sure:
    1. Rebekah lives in St. Anthony Park, MN
    2. She’s 36 years old
    3. She has two kids in preschool/daycare
    4. She’s an accountant
    5. She has a large mortgage payment that she struggles to pay
    6. Her preschool costs more than that mortgage
    7. She has school loans
    8. Her husband can’t find “reliable” work
Let’s start with your first statement about being frustrated with how much your mortgage costs. Did you not buy the house and agree to a certain mortgage payment, or were you duped and dragged kicking and screaming into a house you clearly can’t afford? Why are you suddenly dismayed at the payment amount?
St. Anthony Park is a fairly expensive area. Oh sure, there are some listings for 2 bedroom, 1 bath, 672 square foot houses that can be had for a relatively low price of $169K, but most the listings are in the 300K – 400K region. You may have wanted to consider spending a bit less for a house, or you could have chosen a different area.
You claim to be an accountant. Accountants make fairly good money. Why didn’t you work really hard at paying off your school loans before splurging on a house and starting your family? With proper planning, you could have been in position to stay home and raise your own children instead of paying exorbitant daycare fees.
I’m sorry your husband struggles to find “reliable” work – whatever that is. Because really, Rebekah, there really is no such thing as a “reliable” job.
What exactly do you expect? You managed all on your own to run up student loans, purchase a house you can’t afford, and whine that “Somebody has to say something about this,”

Well, now you’ve said it, and your president used you for a photo op while the two of you chowed down on non-Michelle approved hamburgers in a local pub. Bet you dollars to doughnuts the two of you talked about “free” universal daycare as well as paid family leave for every time you want to take off work to see little Bobbie or Billie play soccer.
Here’s my advice: Sell that house, get yourself on a budget, and pay off your debts. Send hubby off to work while you stay home and bond with the kiddies. You can freelance your accounting talents to make extra money.
I don’t want my tax dollars going to support your lifestyle. And I doubt anyone else does either.
And I don’t want to listen to you whine.
This may hurt you to the core, but truth must be told. Obama doesn’t care about you. Not one little bit. You are what is known as a “useful idiot.” He used you.

    • texan59 says:

Well didn’t you just pee on the parade. 🙂

    • lovemygirl says:

Exactly on target. When I heard her whines I just thought of my Great Grandparents, the houses my G-Grandfather built, the yard they turned into a garden for food, the relatives that lived upstairs to save money and all the hard work and sacrifices they made so that their children would have a better life. Here, a college educated mother whines about day care costs? Every one in my immediate family raised their own kids and couldn’t even think of paying someone else to do it.

    • lovemygirl says:

While I know many that have been laid off and struggle, I’m just kind of wondering what kind of Hubby she chose. Two hints are that she didn’t mention his student loans and the ambiguous “reliable work” comment. It would be fitting that she also made another bad decision in who she chose to marry along with all those other bad decisions so far.

    • LetJusticePrevail" says:

“Send hubby off to work while you stay home and bond with the kiddies.”

If he’s unable to keep a “reliable” job he is probably under educated, and has minimal other qualifications.. Since she’s an accountant, and apparently has no trouble maintaining a steady paycheck, why doesn’t she remain working while he stays in their new, downsized, home and homeschool the kids and himself? Wouldn’t that make more sense, from an income (and re-education) standpoint?

    • disgustedwithjulison says:

Here is the truth on Rebekah. She is a Democratic prop…not your average midwestern struggling mom just trying to get by.

A political science grad from the University of Washington, Rebekah has bounced around the west coast (San Fran, Seattle, etc.) where she was very active in politics and on the staff of Washington Senator Patty Murray’s campaign – considered one of the most liberal Senators.

About 4-5 years ago she moved to Minnesota where she remained active in politics.

Based on information on, she bought her home less than eight months ago for $200,000. The mortgage she complains of appears to be $194k…odd, as unless a government downpayment grant was given, she only had 3% equity in the home when most of us were required to put in 20%. People really shouldn’t be buying homes if they have no equity or reserves to deal with problems that are bound to occur (isn’t that how we had our last real estate bubble?). Regardless, her payments are probably about $1,300 a month…not bad considering it would be hard to rent a family home for that amount.

I just find it odd that she would be sending Obama letters less than six months after she purchased the property complaining about her mortgage, etc…..unless….she was a prop and the letter was never written. Which, she had the connections within the party to be utilized as such.

So, either a smart mother senses a chance to salve one of the POtuS’s many boo-boos, perhaps get a job and writes a letter his spin team gloms onto. Alternate: his spin team decides to gin-up an Oprah moment in hopes the sheer emotional grab detracts from the fact that the POtuS is sitting on top of any number of disasters, both boiling on the front burners and simmering on the rear.
Benghazi was well on its way to becoming one of the many screwups that have morphed into historical footnotes but this guy and his team managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory – their incompetence saved the day for those who believe that he should be forced to face this mess. Even his Hollyork butt-kissers seem to be personally and professionally distancing themselves for fear that when the blivet blows the poop won’t splash on them.
Yeah it’s a phony scandal – he’s the phony and it’s his scandal, as Clinton did ya gotta parse that sentence.

Is there any credence to the rumor of HRC and a plane crash Nov/Dec ’12?
