Today Harry Reid Calls Bundy Family and All Bundy Supporters “Domestic Terrorists”, Says Federal Government Will “Deal With Bundy and Sheriff”… “It is an issue we cannot let go and just walk away from”…

NEVADA – U.S. Sen. Harry Reid on Thursday called supporters of Bunkerville rancher Cliven Bundy “domestic terrorists” because they defended him against a Bureau of Land Management cattle roundup with guns and put their children in harm’s way.

Harry-ReidHarry Reid give us the finger

“They’re nothing more than domestic terrorists,” Reid said during an appearance at a Las Vegas Review-Journal “Hashtags & Headlines” event at the Paris. “I repeat: what happened there was domestic terrorism.”

The BLM shut down its weeklong roundup of Bundy’s cattle Saturday after an armed confrontation with militia members who had traveled to Southern Nevada.

[…]   Reid, the Senate majority leader who is in Las Vegas during Congress’ Easter recess, said he understands there’s a federal task force being set up in order to deal with Bundy, and Clark County Sheriff Doug Gillespie is involved as well.

“Clive Bundy does not recognize the United States,” Reid said. “The United States, he says, is a foreign government. He doesn’t pay his taxes. He doesn’t pay his fees. And he doesn’t follow the law. He continues to thumb his nose at authority.”

Reid noted there are two court orders allowing BLM to conduct the roundup of Bundy’s 500 to 900 “trespass cattle.”

“It is an issue we cannot let go, just walk away from,” Reid said.  (read more)

Harry Reid is no different from any other megalomaniac. He will continue to bully anyone he can until they crumble in defeat, or he is stripped of any power that voters stupidly gave to him. He’s totally drunk with the power he never should have been given in the first place.

It’s the simple truth – we’ve elected our gulag guards and they’ve appointed the little tower guard bureaucrats – the screws who screw us. The progressive poo-poo those who distrust the government, trying to make them look like footnotes in the DSM but bottom line is the district of the government from local to Federal crosses all political beliefs. The Founders gave us an emergency ‘get out of jail’ option in case the sewerage climbed up over the throne’s rim – it’s up to the people to take their government back into their own hands or spend the rest of the Republic’s life licking the boots that kick them.

Remember that Harry’s sons, attorneys in Nevada, have a vested interest in seeing the land cleared out. After Harry’s trip to China, a Chinese company contacted none other than one of Harry’s sons to purchase land for a solar site. It is an incestuous little plot that gives insight into who Harry is, and how he became so wealthy.

I believe the good Judge said that the simplest action the gooberment could /should have done was to put a lien on Bundy’s property proper. That way Bundy couldn’t sell nor pass on his property at death. But he government went in with force right off telling us that there is REAL money to be made and the forces that stand to ‘reap’ it can’t/won’t wait for a sale or death……

BTW Reid, here is what a federal judge said about the BLM and USFS since you care about the law and walking away from it:
Judge Jones issued a blistering bench statement accusing USFS officials of lying to the court, attempting to mislead the court, abusing agency regulatory powers, and engaging in a pattern of threats and intimidation to coerce witnesses. The judge charged that Seley and Williams had used illegal means in an attempt “to kill the business of Mr. Hage.” Judge Jones, in effect, “fired” Seley and Williams. “Mr. Seley can no longer be an administrator in this BLM district. I don’t trust him to be unbiased. Nor can he supervise anybody in this district,” the judge stated in his order from the bench.

First, back to Judge Jones’ June 6 bench ruling. “So I’m finding and concluding as a matter of law,” said the judge, “that the government and the agents of the government in that locale, sometime in the ’70s and ’80s, entered into a conspiracy, a literal, intentional conspiracy, to deprive the Hages of not only their permit grazing rights, for whatever reason, but also to deprive them of their vested property rights under the takings clause, and I find that that’s a sufficient basis to hold that there is irreparable harm if I don’t — and it’s in the public interest, if I don’t restrain the government from continuing in that conduct.”

Seley and Williams attempted to extort money out of third-party ranchers who had leased cattle to Wayne N. Hage. They issued trespass notices for which they demanded payments, and in one instance coerced a $15,000 settlement.

“Especially the collection from innocent others of thousands of dollars for trespass notices is abhorrent to the Court,” the judge stated, “and I express on the record my offense of my own conscience in that conduct. That’s not just simply following the law and pursuing your management right, it evidences an actual intent to destroy their water rights.”

In fact, Judge Jones accused the federal bureaucrats of “racketeering” under the federal RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corruption Organizations) statute, extortion, mail fraud, and fraud.

Just had this pop up on my Facebook page…

“Immediately after what many considered a victory against a tyrannical federal agency, a number of leftist voices – most notably, Sen. Harry Reid – indicated the action against this family will continue.

In response, Texas Republican Rep. Steve Stockman sent a letter to Barack Obama, Department of the Interior Sec. Sally Jewell, and BLM Director Neil Kornze, laying out his position that any such action by the agency would violate the U.S. Constitution.

“Because of this standoff,” he wrote, “I have looked into BLM’s authority to conduct such paramilitary raids against American citizens, and it appears that BLM is acting in a lawless manner in Nevada.”

He cited the limited powers granted to the federal government, noting the bureau has no “right to assume preemptory police powers, that role being reserved to the States,” and explained “many federal laws require the federal government to seek assistance from local law enforcement whenever the use of force may become necessary.”

The letter included a section of the U.S. Code — 43 U.S.C. Section 1733, Subsection C — stating exactly that point. [Emphasis Stockman’s]

“When the Secretary determines that assistance is necessary in enforcing Federal laws and regulations relating to the public lands or their resources he shall offer a contract to appropriate local officials having law enforcement authority within their respective jurisdictions with the view of achieving maximum feasible reliance upon local law enforcement officials in enforcing such laws and regulations.”
In the case of the Bundy Ranch, he continued, “the relevant local law enforcement officials appear to be the Sheriff of Clark County, Nevada, Douglas C. Gillespie.”

Gillespie, however, conspicuously took a back seat to BLM forces during the standoff.

“Indeed,” Stockman wrote, “the exact type of crisis that the federal government has provoked at the Bundy ranch is the very type of incident that Congress knew could be avoided by relying on local law enforcement officials.”

The stated purpose of the correspondence is for the Obama administration “to bring the BLM into compliance with 43 U.S.C. section 1733.”

Absent a full investigation into the agency’s actions, he concluded, “the federal government must not only stand down, but remove all federal personnel from anywhere near the Bundy ranch.”

Legislators and law enforcement personnel have stood alongside state militia members and the Bundy family in opposing the excessive force employed by the BLM. Stockman’s letter adds even more weight to the growing sentiment against the federal overreach.”

“The Nevada Democrat’s deal was engineered by Jay Brown, a longtime friend and former casino lawyer whose name surfaced in a major political bribery trial this summer and in other prior organized crime investigations.. He’s never been charged with wrongdoing — except for a 1981 federal securities complaint that was settled out of court.”

“They also said they have no documents proving Reid’s stake in the company because it was an informal understanding between friends.”

Interesting. Reid’s “friend” is a former Casino lawyer, and Reid was once the….. wait for it…. Chairman of the Nevada Gaming Commission (from 1977 to 1981). Funny how that year (1981) figures so prominently in the resumes of both Reid, and his “friend.”

The hypocrisy of the progressives acting like federal land is sacred habitat is astounding considering Al Gore facilitated the largest privatization of federal land in history – to the oil company responsible for his family fortune. Nobody seemed to care when Occidental started drilling on land that really was sacred to American Indians.

    http://www.democracynow.org/2000/8/15/al_gores_oligarchy

The history of the Gore family and Occidental Petroleum have been intertwined for generations. Al Gore Sr. was such a loyal political ally that Occidental’s founder and longtime CEO, Armand Hammer, liked to say that he had Gore “in my back pocket.” When Gore Sr. left the Senate in 1970, Hammer gave him a half a million dollar a year job at an Occidental subsidiary and a seat on the company’s board of directors. Money from Occidental and its subsidiaries formed the basis of the Gore family fortune.

But it is not only the land of Indigenous Colombians that Occidental is drilling against the wishes of the residents and indigenous inhabitants. In late 1997, Al Gore supported the federal government’s three and a half billion dollar sale of the Elk Hills oil field in Bakersfield, California, to Occidental Petroleum. This was the largest privatization of federal property in US history. Occidental’s plans to drill for oil in Elk Hills will disturb traditional burial sites for the Yokuts indigenous peoples of southern California. At stake are at least 100 ancient sites in the Buena Vista Lake region where Yokuts peoples once lived.

It appears the environmentalist are the one most disappointed there was no violence and bloodshed.

-In 2010, Rob Mrowka of the Center for Biological Diversity(CBD) wrote a letter to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) lamenting about Bundy’s cattle and demanded a “designation of a National Conservation Area.”
-Eventually, Senator Harry Reid “proposed to create a National Conservation Area at Gold Butte…”
-Rob Mrowka was cited in a BLM report as someone who “is involved in the Dry Lake mitigation pilot.”
-The “mitigation project” would use the very same land upon which Bundy’s cattle graze to offset or “mitigate” the damage done to land destroyed by the solar company.
Rob Mrowka, who works for a radical environmental group, (CBD), is also working with the federal government (BLM).
-After this author posted Mrowka’s tweets bashing the protesters as “outlaws, anarchists and terrorists,” he promptly protected his Twitter account. His Facebook is still accessible [see photo].
Here is the screenshot of some of his tweets from Saturday, when the BLM seemingly backed down (Rob Mrowka was none too happy):

Odd thing is, Purdy died recently, and isn’t available to render any opinion about the tribulations facing Cliven Bundy. And, as far as I could determine, Bud Purdy never mentioned a word about Cliven Bundy. Ever. How convenient that is for Mrowka and the Daily KOS. Next they will be co-opting some other deceased “icon” to support their cause.
