Delicious news – President Obama is hiring John “Damn Skippy” Podesta to join his inner circle and advisors.  Podesta was for Bill Clinton what Denis “The Fixer” McDonough is to President Obama.

Now both “Skippy” and “Fixer” are part of the Obama circle with Valerie Jarrett still looming.   That is a highly volatile mix.   Explosive and unstable in the extreme.
However, it makes sense against the backdrop of a Hillary run in 2016 because Team Clinton needs to have their interests represented quickly.

The risk for Hillary is embedded in any further delays on ObamaCare rollouts.
Already, to help retain his own reelection, we have seen Obama delay numerous portions of ObamaCare mandates.   Many Democrats (like Senator Joe Manchin) have been pushing for even more delays, and there are many even more vulnerable Democrats who would prefer the execution piece for the Mid-Size company mandates to be pushed beyond the 2014 elections.
Currently, the reality of ObamaCare’s flaws are set to confront tens of millions of voters in October of 2014 right before the election.
Vulnerable Dem’s, and the Dem Party Leadership are in a quandary.   If they delay the consequences from ObamaCare, yet another year, the anticipated electoral backlash will fall directly into Hillary’s presidential run.
What to do?  What to do?
Team Clinton wants all of the ObamaCare pain to fall when Obama himself -and, as an outcome, his politician supporters- will be hurt.  However, that may mean losing the Senate because the electorate backlash is currently timed to explode Q3 next year.
The Clintons would rather lose the Senate than lose a possible bid for the White House.  So how do you ensure your vested interests are represented amid this volatile political climate?
Enter John “Damn Skippy” Podesta.    The Clinton’s own fixer.
Podesta and Clinton
This is classic example of Clintonian Leverage inside the DNC (Democrat National Committee).   With a 38% approval rating, and only 30% among Independents, President Obama has lost any of his own leverage to keep them out.
The Democrat party has a tenuous tightrope to walk – they need to support the damage Obama has already done, but simultaneously they need to avoid damage to the forward vision of Hillary and Team Clinton.
