The Least They Can Do – Woman Shot By Twitchy LAPD Cops Will Get A New Pickup Truck…

I keep reading reports “claiming” the police statement around 20 shots fired.  There were way more than 20 shots fired.   In this picture you can see evidence marker #54 which indicates a shell casing location.   These were two *really* luck women.

LOS ANGLES — A mother and daughter newspaper delivery team who were mistakenly shot by Los Angeles police hunting for a fugitive former cop will get a new pickup truck courtesy of the department.

LAPD Cmdr. Andrew Smith says the department’s Chief Charlie Beck met with the women in their Torrance home Saturday to apologize and tell them he had arranged for someone to donate a new pickup truck.

The truck will be donated early this week, Smith said.

The women were accidentally struck by gunfire in the pre-dawn hours Thursday after it was reported that Christopher Dorner was sighted in the area. Beck called it a case of mistaken identity.

Dorner has vowed to avenge his firing from the department, which he wrote in an online manifesto was retaliation for reporting officer violence.  (read more)

“The women were accidentally struck by gunfire” ??? The police fired 50 shots and only “accidently” hit the women 3 times. What in the world were they aiming at if not the women???

Do you really think the LAPD is going to state in plain language, or the MSM going to point out the simple fact that they did their best to slaughter two innocent women because they were driving a pickup sorta like the guy that’s after them?

Frankly, their poor marksmanship would almost be more disturbing to me than their criminally negligent disregard for human life… If I hadn’t known for decades that the typical cop is a poor shot.

Enjoying shooting and doing it well is a disqualification to being hired as a cop… As is being “too” intelligent. Blind obedience to policy and procedures is what’s demanded.

Most American police departments, amazingly enough, aren’t known for their marksmanship…especially when they have far more cowardly bullies than Peace Officers in their ranks.

I won’t get into Dorner’s politics or motivations here. We don’t know the truth from the BS yet, and perhaps we never will. I shall simply point out that ONE MAN has the entire LAPD soiling their shorts and firing at shadows.

One man. And a mentally disturbed one at that. Next time someone says that we Patriots couldn’t possibly win if things get ugly…feel free to laugh. A lot. 😀

I sure hope these 2 ladies get a few 1,000,000 dollars along with their pickup truck. the high caliber of lawyer that they have right now encourages me

      • czarowniczy says:

I’m hoping they get a lawyer that doesn’t believe the LAPD’s pockets aren’t any deeper than a new pickup truck.

        • canadacan says:

I saw this guy Jonas for court settlements track record. . The low end was 1,000,000 dollars. Here’s hoping for a decent settlement

          • czarowniczy says:

As hard as I tried to avoid it I frequently go stuck working civil courtrooms. They are anything but ‘civil’ and the main winners are the lawyers. You can win a $million but the lawyer will get at least 40% – and likely more – of it depending upon how good s/he is. We have a few that I know who eagerly advertise they have wrung million out of defendants on settlements but are completely mum about how much they get until you sign the papers.

It annoys me when the whole story is deliberately not given. Not that things aren’t bad enough but why spin to make it worse.
They didn’t mention that the truck was within feet of a house where a police officer and his family live….that house was one of many being guarded by LE due to the fact that Dorner had said he was going to kill that officer and his family that live there. This all went down 4 hours after he ambushed two officers killing one, wounding the other also a couple hours earlier LE was following a pick up truck and the occupant fired at the officers grazing one on the forehead and of course the two killings 4 days earlier.

This particular truck was driving with it’s lights off, going very slow, and on and off the brake (per someone who lives on the street–not sure if he was correct tho), as is often the case when the occupants are delivering newspapers in the pre dawn hours of the morning.
Also a witness said that the occupants did not obey the commands given by LE (again, don’t know if that is correct).

Honesty is all I’m looking for.

I’m all for the police but in this case they were trigger happy. Probably they were scared out of their minds. Some people become cops because they are cowards. They didn’t obey commands because they were being shot at and obviously they were on the floor of the truck. Why would they shoot at someone that is not shooting at them? Its just not right. We all have one life and don’t want it wasted especially by someone we pay to protect us. They offered a new truck. LOL!! Just think what would be going on if these women were black!
