This,…. this task,….. this charge,….. is no small thing.  The Charge to restore a republic after it has fallen into corruption.    Many have studied history  and argue if a restoration has ever happened.   They, those of lesser consequence, pontificate of Rome and our Constitution in the same breath and manner.

As if such considerations would diminish the resolve of a patriot…    Those of smaller courage fear our task is impossible.   If we do not strive ~ how will we know it can’t be done?   And if we do not endeavor,  it most certainly won’t be done.

And We Have Grit…

The Founders’ Republic, your Republic, and, in a larger sense, the beacon light for the greatest of all free western civilizations, will not be lost…..   The Charge Is Ours.

This day.

I swear you this:  We will not go gently into this bloody collectivist good night.   Indeed, the expansion of rage within our defiance creates the Thunder-clap;  And ALL history from this  day forward will be forced to note and witness;  Even if they despise us in the writing of it.

We will succeed;   Failure is not an option for us;  We are United…   The reckoning is afore us…  And when Six November is our rear the heavy lifting will begin a new resolve of courage…   Victory is carried not by the faithless, but by the faith-filled;

Our Focus today is on one day, a Tuesday in November;  However, while victory is one important keystone laid in the rebuilding of a grand and magnificent Nation, it is not the end.

It is the beginning… A proud and Righteous Beginning….

How insightful…and inspiring, We must be ever vigilant as we move forward to restore the cornerstones upon which this great nation was founded.

    A reckoning, indeed. Bravo, SDC!

    No Man Is An Island

    No man is an island,
    Entire of itself.
Each is a piece of the continent,
    A part of the main.
If a clod be washed away by the sea,
    Europe is the less.
As well as if a promontory were.
As well as if a manor of thine own
    Or of thine friend’s were.
    Each man’s death diminishes me,
For I am involved in mankind.
    Therefore, send not to know
    For whom the bell tolls,
    It tolls for thee.
    John Donne

Fix our tainted media, and the rest will fix itself.

    • Sharon says:

Really? A cowardly Congress and a leftist Supreme Court will “fix themselves?” So that means the media is actually totally running the country now? Sorry. I disagree.

    • nameofthepen says:

Mikado Cat – I’m sure you know by now how heartily I agree with that statement! 🙂

Our liberty depends on the freedom of the press, and that cannot be limited without being lost.
Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826), Letter to Dr. James Currie, 28 January 1786

The last “free press” we have now is the internet. That is being hacked even as we speak. For this small window of time, it is possible for anyone to speak out, and be heard widely; to counter lies being foisted daily upon the world by the agenda-driven mega-monopolies who control all other forms of mass communication.

I pray there will be a backlash soon; that people around the world will come together to protect the internet as zealously as the Wolverines have worked to protect George Zimmerman from wrongful harm.

    Absolutely inspired writiing, SD!!
And I want that picture of Paul Ryan in poster size for my wall.
    (he’s hawt!)
Sorry….single middle-aged moms appreciate hawt men too!!

    • Sharon says:

Married OLD grandmas appreciate hawt men, too (especially Paul Ryan) we just don’t say so very often….don’t want folks talkin’ about us.

      • Bette says:

Stop giving away our secret fantasies, Sharon.

      • Omar says:

LOL!!! He is certainly easy on the eyes. Bless his heart. This is the very first election I’ve voted in where a candidate for POTUS or Veep is younger than me, and Paul is just a wee bit younger. The fact that he’s Conservative, loves his mama, he’s smart and hawt make him simply irresistible!!

        • Sharon says:

Yeah, I’m a sucker for the fact that he loves his mama, too! Actually, I’m not sure I actually think of him as “hawt” (I was just trying to be cool! 😉 ) but think of him as my highly successful son!! And I LOVE IT that when he snuck out the back way to escape the media the night before the VP announcement, that he just ran down the path in the woods behind their house, past the treehouse he had built as a kid. Nobody has to wonder about his childhood history, that’s a fact or how he spent it. He and Mitt both “know Americana”….

          • Omar says:

I completely agree! He’s an All-American boy. And the fact that he loves his wife just makes him so much more awesome. He’s definitely a cutie….but the brains and passion and patriotism he will bring to office far outweigh any physical traits, IMO.
