(Weird) That’s because having to romance a wife and a mistress  on Valentine’s Day places cheating men on double duty.  Private  investigator Charlie Parker says he always gets busier around Valentine’s Day,  as he is hired by suspcious spouses to catch cheaters in the act. “I  think that every guy that is doing that would get out of it if he could, and  every woman would too, because it puts an awful lot of pressure on people,” says  Parker.

He  says even guys who handle themselves discretely the other 364 days of the year  feel an obligation to be with their lover on Valentine’s Day, and he can usually  photograph them giving a ‘goodbye kiss’ to their mistress which ends up being  used against them in court.

He says cheaters aren’t having that much fun on Valentines. Cheating  men are forced to attend two Valentines Day dinners buy flowers for two and  profess love to two women … which he says when one is enough for most men. “The guy that is cheating in a real situation because he needs to  be with that girl to show that she is special and he needs to be at home  with his wife and children, which is where he should be, and he gets caught in  the middle.” He sees tragedy, not someone having fun, while on  infidelity cases. “Maybe they are filling up with gas or going  to  buy something and I have never seen anyone smiling.”

Interestingly, Parker says women are ‘smarter cheaters’  than men, and are less likely to trip up on Valentine’s Day.  Parker says  years of tracking unfaithful spouses has convinced him that there is nothing fun  about being in a cheating relationship.

“And when we are watching people, it’s really a  sad thing.”  (read more)
