You did not need to be a deep-thinking political follower to have seen the DeceptiCon seeds being dropped throughout Georgia in the past several weeks. The basic narrative as engineered is that a Brian Kemp victory in the republican primary tomorrow proves the waning influence of MAGA Trump in the republican party.
Factually, albeit many subversively, from Ronna McDaniel to Mike Pence, to Mitch McConnell and every establishment republican who wants to see MAGA crushed in 2020 the same way they crushed the Tea Party in 2012, has been leaning heavily into the Georgia race to support incumbent governor Brian Kemp. In the background of Georgia politics, the democrat operatives have been doing the same. There is an alignment of interest.
The 2022 play book is similar to post 2010 era, when President Obama and Eric Holder triggered the IRS targeting of Tea Party conservative groups, and the republican old guard, including Mitch McConnell supported the effort. One might say the modern UniParty in DC became most visible in the years between 2011 and 2014. That UniParty alignment later became much more visible when the Tea Party 2.0 became MAGA in 2016 and drove the victory of Donald Trump. The GOPe worked with Democrats to remove Trump as a result.
Now we see the UniParty, the bipartisan -reach across the aisle- professional political class, align again to use the Georgia primary in 2022 as the anti-MAGA launch point. Their moves are as predictable as sunrise, and the advanced messaging from media transmits like a triggered flare from a tripwire.
CNN points out that a Brian Kemp victory means the era of Donald Trump is dead [SEE HERE]. The New York Times triggers a simultaneous flare from the flanking position.
New York Times – […] Thanks to Mr. Trump’s machinations, Georgia’s elections are once again freighted with outsized import, its primaries having become something of a referendum on the health of the Republican Party — and of American democracy.
A Kemp win would be a blow not only to Mr. Trump but also to the election denialism with which he has infected the G.O.P. Just this week, “stop the steal” truthers, determined to prove that Joe Biden cheated his way into the White House, won key primaries in North Carolina and Pennsylvania. Another election denier with Mr. Trump’s endorsement, Representative Jody Hice, is running for Georgia secretary of state against the Republican incumbent, Brad Raffensperger.
A strong win by Mr. Kemp would be the most promising signal to date that many Republican voters, at least in Georgia, are ready to move on — not from Mr. Trump per se, but from his toxic fixation on 2020. It could also provide a hopeful model for other results-oriented Republican governors, evidence that they can thrive even without bowing to the former president’s anti-democratic obsessions. And if Mr. Trump plays things wrong, he could wind up damaging his own political fortunes as well. (read more)
The technical issues associated with the 2022 primary in Georgia are the real problem. In many ways Georgia republican voters do not understand how the party has created the illusion of choice by manipulating the party rules. I take criticism from those who are angered by my pointing out the obvious, but it’s not complicated really. If the Republican party of Georgia did not want to manipulate the voting, they would never allow a system where Democrats select their candidate; it really is that simple.
Georgia is filled with battered conservatives who vote as republicans but do not see the UniParty backroom deals that have been made. It takes a major event before the voters can pry the control levers from the private Club known as the Georgia GOP.
The ‘open primary’ is the tool the UniParty always exploits, and many people will remember Mississippi 2010 when the AME church network, the democrat political network, was paid by various Mitch McConnell allied PAC’s to vote against the insurgency represented by Chris McDaniel.
In Georgia a voter will select either the Republican or the Democrat ballot. Most voters select the ballot that represents their affiliation. However, the professional networks have organized operations where specific democrat constituencies go to the polls and take a republican ballot in order to select the weakest candidate in the primary. Brian Kemp represents the interest of that Machiavellian voting bloc.
The Democrat candidate for governor, Stacey Abrams, is running unopposed. It’s the perfect storm where the AME church, ‘Black Voters Matter’ and other networks like ‘The New Georgia Project’ can go play in the Republican primary again. But it’s not all bad news though, many of those cross-party voters will have no issue voting for Hershel Walker.
Hopefully, Mike Pence endorsed Brian Kemp can be held under 50% in the primary and that will trigger a runoff. That’s the best-case scenario for Donald Trump endorsed candidate, David Perdue.
If Kemp exceeds 50% and wins the republican primary tomorrow the screaming narrative on Wednesday morning in every headline will be predictable. After all, the seeds of this operation were planted long ago….
Pence’s opening salvo was getting Michael Flynn fired. I should have seen what he was all about from the jump! Who cares who he backs? That’s a no from me immediately.
What’s worse? Making an ironic observation that some women will do anything to get close to money and power, that they’ll let you grab them by the pu$$y? Or actually BE a pu$$y … like Pence? Mr. Milquetoast can back whatever candidate he’s told to … and he’ll probably even let Kemp grab him by his “pu$$y”. Meh. Won’t change a thing we MEGA MAGA conservatives believe.
President Trump should’ve stuck with Vernon Jones, in my opinion. Whenever people say these Vernon Joneses, Kathy Barnettes or Madison Cawthorns are too controversial to endorse, I think back to how the voters defied the greatest smear campaign in all history back in 2016 to put President Trump through a primary and general. That type of energy from a fed up electorate is the only way this thing ever gets changed, but it has to be repeated over multiple election cycles in multiple states. McConnell’s going to do what McConnell’s going to do. You can’t let him get in your head and cause you to beat yourself.
Sadly … McConnell is in the Senate … he’s NOT in my head. In all reality, my Kentucky friends, you might as well vote for the (D) candidate. Electing McConnell does no conservative anywhere any favors.
Sadly … “you might as well vote for the (D) candidate” is the real reason our country has been moved so far left.
McConnell should be replaced with a better R,
but there is no contest win when it comes to picking judges or cheaper gas ,
the R is better then D.
I live in CALIFORNIA run by Ds and we have the highest gas and taxes and idiotic gun laws…
Ds always blame it on the Rs. ….somethings will never change.
There are other factors beyond the usual GOPe and RNC manipulations. David Perdue is a very weak candidate who has consistently failed in Georgia by allowing his campaign to be run by the same cabal of professional campaign consultants as many other GOP election losers. In essence, Perdue has never bothered to actually campaign in a manner indicating that he actually wants to win an election.
Pundits can post any story they want about this evil influence or that special interest manipulation but running an actual campaign is up to the candidate. The only thing I know of that Perdue has done is to run several whiny campaign commercials. There have been zero serious campaign rallies, no whistlestop or coffee shop meetings, and no billboards. It is almost as if Perdue was selected to go through the motions to give the illusion of choice.
Kemp is not my choice, at all, but he has been campaigning like he wants to remain governor. He has made the right bribes, I mean, passed the right legislation to establish his “Conservative Street Cred” and appeal to a broad base of voters. He is talking a good talk and will easily defeat Abrams if he really wants to. Abrams is doing Kemp all sorts of favors by sticking her foot into her mouth at every opportunity.
In fact, it would not be far-fetched to assume that Abrams is part of the plan for her to lose again so she can grift some more. One could argue that she needs to be recorded for making campaign contributions to Kemp with every blunder falling from her lips.
How active in Georgia politics are you? Do you meet with your county Republican party members?
I’ve been to 2 Perdue whistle stop meetings and I was able to speak to him at each one. I was invited to a large rally near Macon but we already had a engagement on that day.
I particularly liked the Perdue commercial I saw on Savannah TV were Perdue accurately accused Kemp as being responsible for allowing the 2020 elections to be stolen through fraud.
I live in a small blue enclave where there were no visits and work in a Red rural county where in 2020 I saw Biden signs being held out to passing traffic on a daily basis but not a single Trump or Perdue sign. Trump won that rural county but there were far more Biden votes because of the active presence. The county Republican party is rather anemic where I live and vote.
I am a huge believer in the effectiveness of billboard campaigns but I never get responses from the RNC or Georgia GOP regarding proposals to actually put some up. I also sent several emails and a letter to the Perdue campaign but only received form letter requests for campaign contributions as replies. If there were emails about campaign appearances, that information was buried under asking for money.
Perhaps the problem is that Perdue campaigned on foot in a limited area with limited exposure as I never heard about any of these appearances. I don’t listen to the radio and I don’t watch commercial television. I seriously doubt I am the only Republican who isn’t reached by radio or TV ads. But I do drive to work every day past several billboards and would have noticed any campaign ads.
Perhaps you should rent a billboard and put up whatever you would like to see yourself.
If you can’t afford it, get together with a group of friends and do it.
D, I do wish for your state that Abrams looses. That President Trump’s pick wins, would be great too.
Two things regarding getting a message out. I’ve heard and used both, signs and going door to door.
1) At a cost of 50$ each, we put out three 4/8′ highway signs along land we own and in the same place…2 stolen. We paid for it and reminded the R’s in our county until they got them in for us.
2) I’ve gone door to door with a county commissioner who swears that signs don’t talk. She has won her seat both/each time she has run for office. We also put her sign up along the highway.
So, I’m for throwing the kitchen sink at things.
There are a number of things we can do ourselves.
The county Republican party is rather anemic in the whole state! But we are changing that by outreach in my county. It would help tremendously if we can get closed primaries and identify party members early, rather than after the primary.
Meanwhile in Michigan, 2-republican candidates were ordered removed from primary ballots by the democrat dominated Michigan Election Board as “the board rules that signatures on their petitions were not legitimate, dropping them below the required number of signatures to be on the ballot”.
The two wings of the Uni-Party Vulture at work.
Imagine that … democrats fighting to ensure signature verification is not used on election day, questioning signatures on petitions in a republican primary.
Hmmm .. signature validation for candidacy papers, but not for ballots.
Just sayin’
How there can be a law that allows you to change your party affiliation on the day of an election to vote in the opposing party’s primary is laughable, if the consequences weren’t so high. What a sh*tshow.
Term limits, no same day party switching, voter ID, and paper ballots-same day voting only and we probably wouldn’t be in this mess. Seems so simple. I Guess cheating is always more complicated.🙄
never understood why R’s have open primaries. Its just helps the D’s or the RINOs.
VA has open primaries. Past two years (or longer) the Republicans have gone to conventions, where delegates vote. Delegates are vetted. My suspicion is this was a technique to keep out the MAGA types; however, our LtGov is MAGA (Winsome Sears). But I agree. States with open primaries should “close” them.
Supposedly this year is the last year of having conventions. Something Northam did.
I resent that as a voter that I am expected to give up an entire day, drive long distances to wherever, spend money on fuel, food, deal w/nasty weather and whatever else when I could go around the corner, vote, and be done w/it. We fought tooth and nail to do primaries and State Central would not consent because the less people that show up, the more control they have i.e. keeping out MAGA.
The conventions do make it easier for them to cheat in various ways. There is no standard protocol so each and every convention is made up as they go, leaves lots of room for scandal. One thing delegates do not understand is they don’t have to vote for whatever candidate they signed up with, providing they did it through a candidate.
They don’t like people knowing they can change their mind. So if dirt comes out on a candidate last minute, and people don’t want to vote for that person they don’t go because they don’t understand they can vote for a different candidate. I have seen it happen. I really dislike when there are 6,7,8 candidates to choose from, then it really gets messy w/rank choice voting. And I hate the term shenanigans, they know they are cheating and refuse to use the proper word. That polite high road nonsense the GOP loves.
They love to claim they aren’t using tax payer dollars and it keeps out the Democrats, which may well be true, but it is a convenient excuse. I HATE conventions because they are a charade and dog and pony show. They only people that love them are the ones that organize them, it makes them feel important.
Years ago there was a convention, don’t remember which one, that was one big glorious party, the GOP has been trying to re-invent that day ever since and has failed horribly.
Sorry for the rant, but I really hate VA GOP, they are corrupt and/or stupid from the bottom up.
>>Its just helps the D’s or the RINOs.
With all due respect, you answered your own question.
I love in an open primary state, and it isn’t obvious who is helped or hurt. Generally the emphasis is placed on what’s considered the “most important” race, as our primaries include all partisan offices (county offices are legally non-partisan). So if you select a ballot based on one race for governor, then you forfeit the ability to influence the other races you might have interest in. My state is almost 100% D, so the most interest is in the 3 main people running as D for gov. There’s an assumption of R crossover voting. There is no such thing as “party affiliation” in this state. Joining a party means you want to “join the club” as Sundance would phrase it.
Historically all parties have had their factions and king-makers. It was notorious here for a while until the king died and left battles for power in his wake.
I don’t really care about the Governor’s race; it is the Secretary of State Republican primary race between Ratburger and Hice that matters.
No voters want Judas Pence, no matter what the RNC wants us to believe.
well, Kemp and The RINO Establishement still have the cheating machines … don’t get upset if we lose.
We have known all along the main thing is to get rid of the cheating machines, and the “drop boxes” for ballot stuffing, get rid of long early voting, get rid of all that – but we did not.
Good luck to David Perdue. However the election has probably already been decided, just like Georgia’s 2020 presidential election and 2021 senate election.
In the 2000 Mules movie, when they lowered the standard for counting the number of mules from 10+ dropbox visits to 5+ dropbox visits, they found 54,000 mules in the 5 battleground states and an estimated 810,000 illegal votes. Georgia had an estimated 92,600 illegal mule votes. How many mules are voting in this election?
GatewayPundit had an article today about the ongoing election crimes in Georgia:
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2022/05/shocking-georgia-election-crimes-uncovered-2-1-million-ballot-images-illegally-destroyed-181000-ballots-missing-dropbox-videos/
Dominion will assure that Kemp gets 50.0001% of the votes.
The fix is in for Kemp and Raffenberger. They should be in jail instead. Georgia has an open primary so these two criminals are going to win with demoRats voting for them. The Dominion machines are still in place counting the votes. Judas Pence is campaigning for Kemp. The rats figure out that, if Kemp wins the primary, a lot of republicans are not going to vote for him and voila! the blimp wins and the corruption continues as planned.
I view Georgia politics as I do Illinois politics. The leftist democratic stranglehold on Chicago is
the same as Atlanta. Doesn’t matter what the rest of the state thinks.
And have you noticed the difference in the posted photographs? As usual, the ones in favor
are cheerful and smiling; the ones not in favor are posted as angry.
At this point in time, noone should be believing the corrupt media.
The reason they are hyping the significance is because they are confident the vote is actually of no consequence. Nothing’s been done to remove the control of the “vote” count from the Party’s minions. Should I bother to watch?
Why are so many Georgians voting for Kemp? What has he done for Georgia, aside from helping the DNC cheat Georgia voters in the last election?
UniParty = Globalist Cabal
So in plain words the GOP admit they hate the citizens and Constitution of these United States and are willing traitors to their country.
How else could USA First be derided by anyone other than a true enemy of the people?
Now go forth and call them out for their treason and hatred of the USA, it’s citizens, and it’s Constitution that these traitors swore an oath to uphold.
“Whereas it appeareth that however certain forms of government are better calculated than others to protect individuals in the free exercise of their natural rights, and are at the same time themselves better guarded against degeneracy, yet experience hath shewn, that even under the best forms, those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny; and it is believed that the most effectual means of preventing this would be, to illuminate, as far as practicable, the minds of the people at large, ….whence it becomes expedient for promoting the publick happiness that those persons, whom nature hath endowed with genius and virtue, should be rendered by liberal education worthy to receive, and able to guard the sacred deposit of the rights and liberties of their fellow citizens, and that they should be called to that charge without regard to wealth, birth or accidental condition of circumstance.” – Thomas Jefferson
To do that, you have to ignore the 80 other Trump endorsed candidates that won.
There is no way Kemp wins with only Republicans voting. The Decepticons have allowed the Demons to pick their opponent and are letting Stacy’s troops vote. As Malcolm X stated “Only a fool lets his enemies teach his children”. The Decepticons are foolish and corrupt, they would team up with the devil himself if it meant they retain power and control over the peasants.
Never does the MSM discuss policies or accomplishments in presentation of political issues . It only narrates down dirty gossip and innuendo in personality clashes. A easy way to divide the sheep.
And we see One More Time though, that the President is endorsing ANOTHER RINO, just like he did here in Ohio and Arkansas. I DON’T GET IT……
If Kemp wins he wins. It is no skin after President Trump. Heck the guy that Trump supported in PA is most likely going to win. I wouldn’t have guessed that in a million years. The NY Slimes can go back to seeing if the Hunter Biden laptop is real. Keep peddling fake news fake media. Karma will eventually pay you back.
There are many things I don’t know.
With respect (?) to Mike Pence…I won’t be voting for him if he manages to win the nomination as the Uni-Party Republican candidate for President in 2024.
Will we find out the results or do we have to wait for a month till they get the vote they wanted.
Too bad Perdue is a re-run, uncharismatic, low-energy, pro-China pick to go against Kemp the Koward. Aren’t there other upstanding patriotic smart people in GA instead of this loser. He showed as much appreciation towards Trump when Trump endorsed him last time during the run off last time as loser Senatrix Loeffler did (with her President of Dow Jones hubby protecting blacklisted Chinese stocks as a snub to Trump, and thinking just wearing a plain red baseball cap at rallies would show the voters she is “one of us”.). C’mon, Georgians! May somebody rise up who can COMMUNICATE to the average voter why they are worthy of their vote and be tough and not spineless. And find that person a YEAR before the election and not at the last minute.
Then again, the CA primaries are coming up and the State GOP officials can barely scrape up a viable contender against Gov. Nuisance or the Senator seat held by some jerk Dem and limit the field to not dilute the vote in the idiotic jungle primary charade.
Sure, you take a hammer to the foot of the fastest horse, he stumbles getting out of the gate, and you laugh because you backed the dark horse and tell me I should have chosen more wisely. Sounds like the usual school boy shenanigans of the political class. I am pretty tired of this crap. They think I should be glad to have the chance to vote, even if it is between a Communist on the left, a denizen of the DC Swamp Country Club on the right, and nobody else on the ballot. Smells a lot like bad fish, again.
What so many who don’t understand those of us who support what President Trump stands for, is that we don’t expect everyone he supports to win. We expect the ones who do get into office of any sort to do what they promised to do if they got elected!
Pence and McConnell are traitors to America. Pence is now deceiving himself with the rinos encouraging him that he is relevant again. LOL
It’s not about anything except how much no good, gutter scumbag, putrid demiwits, and rino’s gain by cheating.
Kemp landslide. Shocking.
Yep.
the political class plants false realities to govern us. Beside life itself, our greatest gift from God is a conscious ability to make choices and our presence of mind. The globalist are trying to steal both thus taking our lives too.
