There have been numerous questions about Hillary Clinton’s overall medical condition.  Previously her campaign said they were not going to release medical records.  Our previous research indicated a strong possibility that in Oct./November of 2012 Hillary Clinton suffered a moderate stroke.

Today, the Clinton team released a two-page medical evaluation and are calling it “her medical records”.  Note: they are calling it her “medical records”, but it is a health statement:

WASHINGTON DC – Hillary Clinton is a healthy 67-year-old woman who suffers from hypothyroidism, seasonal allergies and takes blood thinners as a precaution against future clots, according to a two-page letter from her personal physician released Friday afternoon by her campaign.

“Her cancer screening evaluations are all negative,” Dr. Lisa Barack, chair of internal medicine at the Mount Kisco Medical Group, and Clinton’s physician since 2001, wrote, summarizing Clinton’s health history. “She is in excellent physical condition and fit to serve as President of the United States.”

In releasing Clinton’s health records, her campaign is hoping to show off a greater level of transparency than any of its rivals. The campaign noted that the former secretary of state is the first 2016 candidate to release health history, a step usually conducted only after a candidate has become its party’s nominee.

[…]  Her health statement detailed the circumstances surrounding Clinton’s 2012 concussion that prevented her from testifying before congressional committees investigating the Benghazi attack.

“In December of 2012, Mrs. Clinton suffered a stomach virus after traveling, became dehydrated, fainted and sustained a concussion,” Barack writes.

She was discovered to suffer from “transverse sinus thrombosis” and began taking blood thinners to dissolve the clot. The concussion caused Clinton to suffer briefly from double vision, for which she wore glasses with a “Fresnel Prism.”

Those symptoms resolved within two months, Barack said, and Clinton promptly dropped the glasses.

In 2013, a follow-up visit revealed “complete resolution of the effects of the concussion as well as total dissolution of the thrombosis,” Barack said. She also tested negative for all blood clotting disorders, but remained on daily anticoagulation medication as a precaution.

Today, Clinton’s medications include the blood thinner Coumadin, as well as Armour Thyroid, antihistamines and Vitamin B12, known to boost energy.  (read more)
