Two ‘middle eastern” men attempted entry into New York Synagogue. Take pictures of security systems, cameras etc., then hour later reappear at second Synagogue doing the same thing.

NEW YORK – The NYPD’s anti-terrorism unit is stepping up patrol in Brooklyn after police say two suspicious men attempted to enter a synagogue in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn Saturday.

According to the NYPD, the incident happened Saturday around 4:15 p.m. when two men described as Middle Eastern decent, attempted to enter the Beth Yaakob synagogue located at 1801 Ocean Parkway.

The two were spotted looking at the surveillance camera and taking photographs of the front of the building, NYPD says.

A security guard patrolling outside the synagogue approached the two men and asked them to leave. They left in a blue Honda Accord. Police were told by other witnesses that the two men were also seen in front of another synagogue on Ocean Parkway about an hour later. (read more)
