Ebola “On Broadway“
They say the UV lights are bright, on Broadway
They say there’s always virus in the air.
But if you’re walkin’ down the street,
with bleeding people at your feet;
Well then you know you’d better leave Times Square.
They say the Doc’s are something else on Broadway
But seeing haz mat suits gives me the blues;
‘Cause how ya gonna make a dime
While finding masks takes up your time
And one thin mask won’t even block the news.
They say that I won’t last too long on Broadway
I’ll catch Ebola virus now, they all say;
But oh! They’re wrong, I know they ‘splain
‘Cause I can jump the path-o-gen
And I won’t breathe till I’m afar from Broadway.
Oh, they’re dead wrong, they’ve got to be
‘Cause infectious stuff ain’t catchin’ me
And I won’t drop till I’ve gone far from Broadway (from Broadway)
From Broadway (from Broadway)….

Start spreading the news, We’re bleedin’ today.
Don’t want to be a part of it, New York, New York.
This pathogen news, is making me fray
To save my nerves I’ll part with it, New York, New York.
I want to wake up, In that city that doesn’t bleed.
And find my eyes in my head, able to breathe.
Those little blood dude’s; They are melting away.
I gotta make a brand new start of it, escape New York.
HatTip IowaHawk for the idea.
