Before getting to the substance of the example highlighted in the headline.   Please allow me to give you a “set up” for context.
The political coalition, behind the party, that supports Senator Elizabeth Warren has very specific intents and purposes behind what they do.
White People•One relative example might be putting a CNN documentary together to harvest emotions about Killer Whales in captivity.   •Another actual real life example is a social media campaign which says to young girls if you don’t take a picture of yourself kissing a black boy, then post it to your social media, then you are a racist.    •A third real example is the GBF (Gay Best Friend) strategy to streamline the acceptances of homosexuality, Gay becomes ‘cool’.   The regender campaign is also embedded in the bullying campaign and Boys in the Girl Scouts gender transferring.
The term to explain what’s being strategically done, spawned from the Warren-minded twenty-something individuals, is “Moral Relativism”.
selfie-pic
“Relativism” where behavior acceptances are defined by the emotional intent behind the activity.   ie. If the emotion or intent is defined by the statists to be progressively harmless then it is allowed, it doesn’t matter what that actual conduct or behavior is.
Hollywood supports this Warrenesque crew outlook because it excuses them from any duplicity in the degradation of a moral society.    Everything is “relative”.
Relativism also excuses the behavior of Hollywood celebrity types themselves.  Thus allowing Charlie Sheen to thrive while snorting cocaine lines from atop the pelvis of naked teenagers – as  throngs of iphone videos are live-streamed into the bedrooms of middle schoolers.
Why do you think the world of SnapChat was created ?
(*Note*  If you don’t know SnapChat, and you are a parent of an 8 to 20-year-old, you are in BIG trouble)
In a recent comment JWM talks about this disconnect from the perspective of his son.  His comment is very typical of what parents of Warren-Types encounter:

In 2008 I was shocked to learn my son was an ardent supporter of Obama, and he still is. I had no idea how that happened, although I suspect it is from his wonderful public education, so we began to have conversations as I tried to understand his beliefs. Eventually it came out that he believes in relativism, something I first heard about in the 80′s. In other words, for him there is no truth and there are no fundamental principles except what is right for him. Truth is relative. That ended our discussions, because anything I might say to him was irrelevant unless he agreed with it. Since then, I have found this belief common to liberals, which is why one cannot reason with them. ~JWM

It’s not necessarily common, in it’s present strain, to “all liberals”, just to the modern liberals, the believers in what Elizabeth Warren stands for.   Most of them are the counter culture within the millennial group – no longer on the fringe, and no longer needing to hide.
What began as belly button piercing, tattoos, and guilt heaped upon Baby Boomer mom/dad, has morphed into this new political identity personified by Senator Obama eight years ago.  And now following the occupied pipe music of Elizabeth Warren et al.
Sorry for the long set-up but without it you might not be able to understand where this recent example is going to go:

….. “a cognitively complex autonomous legal person with the fundamental legal right  not to be imprisoned.”….
