Those were the words from Dr. Benjamin Franklin as he exited the Constitutional Convention in reply to Philadelphian Mrs. Powell’s question: “what form of government have you given us”?
Tyranny_Obama
We spend quite a bit of time on this website talking about the need to stand in the sunlight of your own beliefs and not be discouraged.   There is a reason why President Obama tells our national audience to stop listening to talk radio, bloggers, and those who stand in opposition to the leftward march of his rigid ideologues.  They would prefer you to find comfort amid the shadows.
Their reason is the same now as it always has been. The Fabian’s need to convince you your views are in the minority.   They hold a collective view of all governance, and individual liberty and freedom principles run directly in opposition to their own goals.
fabian-400-glassThe Fabian goals are achieved by destruction of common acceptances and “Remould Closer To Their Heart’s Desire”.    Hence, they need you to actually operate against your beliefs of individualism, and they need to continue convincing people to vote against their own individual best interests.
Considering the morale of liberty against the backdrop of the Fabian intents we have drawn historical references to the Polish Solidarity movement.
Several weeks ago we outlined one such similarity;  in response a reader who lived through the Polish Solidarity experience wrote a message to share:

I spent my formative years of developing political awareness in the last throws of communism.  I was 15 when the newest wave of strikes started, in 1980. Solidarity became an officially recognized national union movement, and then Marshall Law was declared.

My father was a Legal Adviser to the Warsaw/Central district for Solidarity, for several years before his political arrest on the night of Marshall Law, internment, repeated interrogations, multiple heart attacks, until his final heart failure in 1983.

Throughout all his involvement with Solidarity, and for years before, my parents were ensuring that I was exposed to as much political education as possible, got familiar with the laws, facts and propaganda, able to distinguish which was which, and always allowed to make my own choice and encouraged to stand by my own decisions.

When I immigrated to the US, I had great plans of involvement in political process over here, to help make the place that took me in and accepted me as a daughter, into a better place for all. Unfortunately, such is life that the plans not always get to be fulfilled, no matter how hard we work at them.

I have become disabled, went through 6 spinal surgeries, and ended up with permanent damage to the spinal cord, permanent damage to the nerves above the waist, and in whole right side below the waist. The only thing bad that did not happen was that I still never got paralyzed.

Despite so much damage to my spine, I remain ambulatory (although with a cane), and I never lost my mental faculties. That’s something to be thankful for, to me. I am in constant excruciating pain, all over my body, and will be for the rest of my life, and had it not been for pain meds including Morphine, I would probably have shot my brains out a long time ago.

But I still care about things. And this nation is one of the things I care about the most.

It took me in, it accepted me, it gave me wings when I wanted to fly, it was ALWAYS GOOD to me. People, some people – well, nothing and nowhere is perfect, but the United States is as close to perfect for me as they come.

I care deeply about the political state of this country. I’ve been a Citizen without a President, since Nov 2008, as I refuse to accept Obama as my President.

Your website has been a great source of joy, hope, knowledge and fulfillment for me for a while now. Thus I want you to always be factually correct, because that is the easiest way to deny your detractors.

Here is a passage from the article I have a huge problem with:

It took the people of Poland to actually walk into the street and recognize they had been fooled. They thought for years their individual desires for freedom and smaller government put them in the minority. Individually they each believed their government was operating with the consent of the governed. However, they were wrong’.

Poles were NEVER fooled into believing the communist propaganda. Poles always saw right thru all the political, economic and social machinations by our own government, and the true puppet-masters, the Soviet Union.

Poles never were concerned with ‘the smaller government’ . We were concerned with the fact that the government was JUST FOR SHOW. Everything they did was JUST FOR SHOW. The whole communist system was based on and sustained on PUTTING ON A SHOW.

The true concern of the citizens was not that there were not enough of us thinking the same way. It was that the moment you let it be known you thought a certain way, you became the ‘enemy of the state’, and so did your family, and your friends, and your acquaintances, and their families, etc. etc.

The worry was never that we might be alone in our convictions. The worry was that VOICING the conviction always ended up in arrests, job loss, menacing of your family and friends, and destroying lives with no regard for blame or innocence.

From the moment the Russian Army stopped its westward march, in summer 1944, intentionally allowing the partisans, the patriots, the fighters, to be butchered (the fewer smart, aware people left, the easier they are to control) in the Upraising, while the enforcements ‘vacationed’ behind the river – from that moment Poles knew that any future government will not be ‘operating with the consent of the governed’.

We knew that what was coming was just a different foot, but with the same boot on our global national throat.

The only reason that it took till 1980 to actually be successful was pure fright.

Each time the ‘protests’ came, they were squashed with disproportional strength and vindictiveness. It took years for the national spirit to be broken, it then took years for people to remember what that spirit used to stand for.

There was always resistance, there were always political cabarets and illegal press, illegal Radio ‘Free Europe’ and ‘Voice of America’, there was always ‘politically inconvenient opposition’. There was just no access to national media to disburse the message.

The moment Solidarity managed to take over control of the media, EVERYTHING CHANGED. They now had control of the MESSAGE. The message that kept being repeated by the kitchen fires, in the fields at harvest, in the factories after each hushed up accident, in dockyards and mines after each disaster.

The final straw was the fact that the government kept taking on international debt, but using it not for infrastructure, for investment etc, but to buy food to put it on the empty shelves and satisfy the people’s most basic desires.

The fact that whatever we produced or saved was immediately carted out and shipped east, to Mother Rossiya, without any remuneration for our country, added to impending economic collapse. Years of neglect, of empty slogans, of false promises and unsupportable threats is what finally broke the chains.

We were living in a nightmare of the Soviet making, for decades. But the awareness of the nightmare is what made is so much harder to stomach, and what kept the fire inside going, never letting it die, hoping the day will come when it will be allowed to issue forth.

Pope John Paul II, OUR Pope, had a huge hand in strengthening that resolve. But that awareness never disappeared, as your passage seems to suggest.

So the conjunction of the ‘Glasnost and Perestroyka’ in the Soviet Union, the Polish Pope as an ideal of peaceful rebellion, and the decades of scare tactics culminated in the outcome as unexpected as it was contrary to what was ever allowed to be talked and thought about.

It was the shedding of the fright, the denial of abuse, and the blossoming of faith in our own strength that took us to the streets and allowed history to happen.

Polk8dot

What Polk8dot outlines amid the psyche of the Polish people is a very similar sensibility to what currently finds many U.S. Patriots fearful.

….The true concern of the citizens was not that there were not enough of us thinking the same way…

This is the concept of fear being used as a weapon.   The “concern” as outlined by Polk8, is the exact same tool, wielded with the exact same purpose, by the current President Obama administration as it was used by the minority oppressors in Poland to rule the majority.
The methods of the post soviet Fabians in Poland are the same methods being deployed in modern America.   Only now they are defined by the modern harbinger of radical leftism, Saul Alinsky.
Nothing has changed except the people executing the method to control their opposition.

Isolate – Ridicule – Marginalize.

Through the process of ‘isolating the opposition’ they deploy labels such as whackobirds, jihadists, terrorists, racists et al.   All intending to isolate the common sense patriot from their like-minded association.
Through the process of “ridiculing the opposition” they deploy media narratives to diminish the character, integrity, intelligence of the leaders who rise in opposition to the regime.
Through the process of “marginalizing the opposition” they deploy strategies to make the larger mass of the electorate believe the opposing leadership is and will be ineffective (See Sarah Palin and now Ted Cruz).   The goal is to make supporting the opposing leadership *appear* futile.
It is EXCEPTIONALLY IMPORTANT that each person teach themselves, and then others, the skillset to identify when these strategies are being deployed.
It is only when you easily recognize them, from both the regime and from the media, that you can find your own strength and empowerment to push back.
