For almost a year, and through four refused FOIA requests, we tried to get the 911 call tapes from the Virginia Pilot Beatings. Fox News Bill O’Reilly was able to twist enough arms and aired the call tapes (Thur) on his show.

Well, perhaps this beating was a “conversion” for the reporters…perhaps.
It’s the patronizing attitude the MSM has towards the Usual Suspects in general – they get so much coverage related to crime that the MSM feels it should selectively limit the coverage so as not to make the entire community look bad. About two weeks ago we had a black flash mob incident occur at a major Baton Rouge mall that erupted into a riot. An estimated 200 participants (you can bet it was more than that), very little local coverage, no mention of the participants ethnicity other than a few cell phone pix. Hear about that anywhere outside of the Baton Rouge/New Orleans news market? Right now, presumably in anticipation of Super Bowl and Mardi Gras, shootings and murders in NOLA that are broadcast on the TV news are frequently not found on the news channels’ websites. Best guess is that potential tourists might be off-put if they tuned into the website to see what’s going on and saw the rush of shootings and murders we’re having. “Move along now, nothing to see here, just ignore the chalk outlines and yellow tape.”
