Coast, that article by Judge Napolitano is the best thing I’ve read yet. Even mentions King John and the Magna Carta which I’ve been thinking about lately and the English Civil War. McDaniels at Stately McDaniels Manor wrote some really good material along this line as well.
Absolutely a great article by Judge Napolitano. Would we be having this discussion if Ron Paul was president and Andrew Napolitano was vice president ? No because those two HONORABLE men are oath keepers, not liars and subversives and oath violators who present a clear and present danger to the republic as do the Communist and Nazi abusers and usurpers that have become like a beast on the loose among us now.

I think Piers Morgan is very raciest and hiding it…He believes in banning assault riffles because of the mass murders done by AR-15′s…yet he still believes in letting people have handguns…Most victims in mass murders are white. Those killings are still quite small compared to handgun deaths which seem to mostly happen to black people. So Ar-15′s which seem to kill more white people than blacks need to be banned…but handguns that kill more blacks don’t? Raciest. >>

Interesting comments by Rush today. He set the scenario … what if it was a Republican President and children wrote in to him … asking if there was a way to modify Roe v. Wade to make it more difficult to get an abortion so that more children could be born, so that more children could write to the President. Rush basically asked how would the left support any modification of Roe v. Wade which would prevent children from being killed vs. new laws re: gun control to prevent children from being killed.

Response should have been, how many tank murders did we have last year Piers?
Or perhaps if you’re big enough to carry it, then yes you can have it. I think the right to bear Arms seem to imply something that you can carry. I don’t know anyone that can carry around a tank.
I’m not so sure about that. Weren’t cannons privately owned? I honestly believe you have to read the federalist papers and think the way they thought, they had to fight a tyrannical government to gain their freedom, they had a great fear that although they did their best to protect the country from tyrannical rule, that the possibility existed it would fail.
I’m not advocating that we all own tanks and military planes or even military rifles, however if the founding fathers added the 2nd amendment to be able to fight back against a tyrannical government, then at that time they meant for us to be armed with the same weapons as the government and personally I think that’s why they didn’t say guns, rifles or cannons.
It is legal btw to own tanks, the government has sold tanks to private citizens they just don’t come with the firepower. There are actually people who collect tanks.
