Why did the Fed decide in December to stop predicting an end date for low interest rates, and instead to describe its economic objectives?
“We gave a date which was just our best guess, and then it changed a couple of times,” Mr. Bernanke said.

How is this anything other than Bernanke admitting that the Fed is clueless about trends in the economy and that it has given up pretending it knows?
They can not raise rates. Ever. The only way they will ever go up agin is if the Chinese stop buying.
There are a few ways that the Fed can raise rates without the Chinese. That’s the choice though: do whatever they can to keep rates low to push the inevitable bust farther and farther away (eventually destroying the dollar), or raise rates and allow the bust to come sooner rather than later.
Just saw on Fox Obama going to be joined by children at press conference regarding new gun control tomorrow. What a POS to use children in guilting others to think this way !!!

I have to share my great news! My Brother and his family just boarded a plane in Dallas; they will be here within an hour! They live in Venezuela. The living conditions and increased military activity there have deteriorated beyond anything that has been reported here. They are US citizens; his company has been sending personnel to their home countries for ~ 4wks. As he is an exec., he had to wait until lower-level employees were essentially evacuated. Praise God they are safe! I ask for prayers for all ex-pats still there, and for the people of Ven. The country is a powder keg right now. The worst truly is yet to come.
