the law looks discretionary, “may” be imprisoned for not more than a year and fined not more than $1,000. So in theory you could get no prison time or fined as they see fit..
So if you are one of them, you walk. If you are from the wrong side of the fence, you pay.
They could have at least asked him where did he get it from. Maybe they could have prosecuted a small fish because it wasn’t going him with the liberal message. We all know that its about who you know or how much money you have. Its been that way for hundreds of years.

well the media has an agenda. and yes this includes Fox News, as well as MSNBC and CNN. Dick Gregory should have to make a public apology that he broke the law at the least though. He should also have to explain how he got the 30 round magazine.

If it had been some pro-gun advocate who waved a hi-cap magazine around and pointed out that at magazine was just a piece of metal, as are all the inanimate objects the Lib’tards label as “assault”… He’d be going to jail.
Perhaps a FOIA request for a list of cases where people were prosecuted for magazine possession would be interesting.

There is obviously equal protection and equal application of the laws since all men are created equal. Of course it is equally obvious some men are more equal than others. Elitism has its double standard which must be upheld in an unwavering collegiate spirit as the golden rule of reciprocity among the elite, no matter what the issue, but especially in judicial matters where justice is perfected by reciprocal courtesy affirming the special status of elites above the great unwashed mere subjects who are only ordinary citizens and ordinary people not fit by birth or wealth or status to be deserving of special status like the special rights and special treatment of the elite who are their betters. Ordinary common people must be continually reminded of their lower station in life by being put in receipt of a perpetual litany of abuses and usurpations and infringements upon their rights delivered from those elite who rightly lord things over them and whenever possible trample their inferiors for both sadistic pleasure and to provide an object lesson about who is whom in the grand scheme of things. What right thinking person could ever question this age old tradition that has long been written into English Law and the laws of many other nations which understand and practice such noble standards for what defines civilization.
So what should be the response to such aristocrats who are inherently inflammable ?

And aren’t virtually all DC statutes unconstitutional anyway? DC City council has no constitutional standing whatsoever if what I’m reading in Sec 8 Para 17 is correct.
