US Marine Corps. Silent Drill. This is an absolutely stunning performance. Please watch to the end. This is an all white platoon, led by a black Sgt. They are working with the champion weapon of WWII, the MI Garand. The weapon weighs in excess of 10 lbs., so keep that in mind. At approx. 3:06 Sgt. performs inspection routine. It is outstanding. When I think of the all the black young men that are wasting their lives away in gangs, etc., not trying to make anything of themselves and then I see this black man … I’m proud he is black and I’m proud he is a Marine. THAT’s what I’m talking about ppl. He displays confidence, dignity, strength … oops, I’m profiling again.
Thank you for posting this. It is a fine way to start the day. Sometimes it helps to remember that there are fine young men and women like this who serve our country. Since the election, I too often fall into depression thinking of the young people who have fallen into the “gimme” mindset.

A gal friend of mine that I went to grade school and high school with was involved with drum and bugle corp. Her older brother was also. On a Monday, my friend did not show up for school, and we learned that her brother was killed by lightening performing on the field in competition. In any event, she still keeps up with all the ppl from her old days in the D&B corp., and not too long ago she shared a video performance of a competition that was really good. It was very disturbing on this fine morning to learn that the nurse that was duped in the prank call with Kate was in the hospital for acute morning sickness … killed herself. Just awful. Why do ppl perform pranks like that? apparently she got so much backlash that it was too much her. Just sick about this. Wish a team a treepers were around her to pull her up and give her confidence. Just horrible when ppl do stuff and don’t think what the consequences could be. Poor unsuspecting soul.

Some goof radio station from Sydney called the hospital that Kate was at and pretending to be Queen Elizabeth asked to speak to her nurse. The person who took their life was the person who took the original call apparently believing it was Queen Elizabeth. She then transferred the call to Kate’s nurse, who also was duped and said (paraphrasing) she’s resting nicely and doing well, etc. Because of criticism by Brits the woman took her life. She was still alive when found but died shortly afterward. This is all according to Fox News.
But why take her life over that? What kind of criticism was being said about her? (No haz TV, so I no can find out)
