For those paying attention to the polls (which should always be taken with a grain of salt regardless of outcome) you might notice a familiar trend/pattern now.   Trump is in an almost identical range (30 to 35%) in almost every poll.  10 to 15 points ahead of the number two candidate.

This latest poll within Maryland (full pdf below) is yet another example.

New Hampshire, Florida, Georgia and South Carolina – all polls came in recently with almost identical results to this one in Maryland. (more…)

D.A.P.A or Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents program – is the executive action Obama attempted in November of 2014 which was shut down by Federal Judge Andrew Hanen in February ’15 with the issuance of an emergency injunction.

• The DOJ appealed the Hanen injunction, on merit, to the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals and lost.
• The DOJ then appealed the Hanen injunction, on standing, to the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals, and lost again.  (Full Backstory)

The DOJ then filed an appeal with the US Supreme Court.  Yesterday the U.S. Supreme Court agreed to hear the case.  The Court will almost certainly hear oral arguments in the case in late April, with a decision expected in late June – just as the 2016 presidential campaign, in which immigration has already played a major role, really starts to heat up.

(Via Fox News) Hillary Clinton’s emails on her unsecured, homebrew server contained intelligence from the U.S. government’s most secretive and highly classified programs, according to an unclassified letter from a top inspector general to senior lawmakers.

Fox News exclusively obtained the unclassified letter, sent Jan. 14 from Intelligence Community Inspector General I. Charles McCullough III. It laid out the findings of a recent comprehensive review by intelligence agencies that identified “several dozen” additional classified emails — including specific intelligence known as “special access programs” (SAP).   (more…)

In an effort to keep the Daily Open Thread a little more open topic we are going to start a new daily thread for “2016 Presidential Politics”. Please use this thread to post anything relating to the Presidential Race and/or any of the candidates therein.

This thread will refresh daily and appear above the Open Discussion Thread.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.

For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

Palin endorses Trump:  No-one will be more visibly filled with elitist too-cute-by-half smarm than FOX’s Megyn Kelly, or Nicole Wallace, or Kathleen Parker….  And no-one will be more visibly filled with rabid hatred than the same Wall Street cocktail class GOPe crew from ’08/’09/’10….

To use a fishing analogy – Donald Trump and Sarah Palin have put the best baits on the spread.  The outriggers, flat lines and down riggers are perfectly positioned as Palin/Trump steer directly over the top of the target.

Now, sit back and witness their slow troll directly over the heart of the GOPe Wahoo lair. This will force the GOPe to rise, become visible and take the bait.

The same professional political class (GOPe) voices who accused Donald Trump of sexism, misogyny and vitriol, will now be baited to the surface to expose their sexism, misogyny, vitriol and elitism.  Watch. (more…)
