Some things President Obama does just make you shake your head in disbelief.   During the Iftar dinner Obama heaped praise on Huma Abedin the controversial Hillary aide, wife to disgraced penis-baring Congressman Anthony Weiner and daughter to radical Islamic Muslim Brotherhood supporters, for her “patriotism”.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – President Barack Obama on Friday called Huma Abedin, a top aide to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, an “American patriot” after a group of Republican lawmakers accused her of having ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, an Islamist political organization.

“She has been nothing less than extraordinary in representing our country and the democratic values that we hold dear,” Obama said at a White House Iftar dinner celebrating the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.

“The American people owe her a debt of gratitude because Huma is an American patriot and an example of what we need in this country — more public servants with her sense of decency, her grace and her generosity of spirit.” […]

Abedin, a Muslim, was seated on Obama’s right at the dinner and appeared visibly moved as the president spoke to a room full of religious leaders, elected officials and diplomats. (more…)

This is just typical of how the leftist progs roll. During the Paul Ryan speech today a couple of progs disguised themselves in Romney apparel and shouted disruptions. But the antagonist has been identified via Gateway Pundit.

The heckler was disguised in a Romney T-shirt! So will Barack Obama condemn this?

…he barely got a chance to compliment a spectator’s “cool” Packers jersey and offer an anecdote about how awesome State Fair wrist band days are before the heckling began.

Caught off guard for a second by a couple of women right in front, Ryan regained his cool and told the rest of the crowd that the women must not be from Iowa or Wisconsin since folks from those states are kind and respectful. He then pointed them out to security guards who crossed the stage and dragged the struggling women out.

Ok, back to it, right? Not so fast. Moments later, another couple, a man and a woman, began shouting for Ryan to “Stop the war on the common good!”

Ryan fans tried to cover the protesters with Mitt Romney signs as Ryan tried to talk over the noise.

Believe it or not there actually was a time when President Obama said we as a nation, needed to reform Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security, and he actually advocated for the very reform which is included in the Paul Ryan plan.  

Alas, the personal goal of re-election has taken over doing the hard but necessary thing; and now the rhetoric of “class warfare” has once again to take center stage for this election cycle with Obama proclaiming the richest Americans are not paying their fair share.

Much has been written about how disingenuous it is to advocate such propositions when the truth of taxation and spending falls far away from the position of the president. Yet, even without a single day in office with any federal budget he will proclaim his fiscal credentials and espouse his opinion of being a fiscally responsible executive to the worlds largest economy.

We have shared extensively about the Obama financial hypocrisy, and perhaps it is a solid reference for others to re-familarize yourself and refer his advocates to a prior speech filled with similar tones and promises in June of 2010. 

Listen to President Obama discuss the structural deficit, the economy and his opinion on resolution, there are some very informative, and in hindsight, highly hypocritical considerations which given the events over the past two to three years should be called into contrast. (more…)

A hyphenated Amercian is a Divided American – Sundance

Maria Burns Ortiz, hyphenated name not accidental I’m sure, from Fox Latino takes to the airwaves to defend the indefensible in typical prog fashion.   But what strikes me as more significant is how the media appears to be avoiding this story like the plague.

That can only mean one thing; they, the institutional media machine, view it as toxically dangerous to their agenda of diminished national pride and patriotism.  They are probably correct.   If this imagery was publically broadcast the outrage would be significant.    Progs like Maria Burns Ortiz are in the increasingly diminishing minority.

(Fox Latino) –  Leo Manzano ended the race with a strong kick, the letters USA emblazoned  across his chest as he crossed the finish line. After securing the silver medal  in the 1500 meters, Manzano celebrated – like all Olympic athletes – by draping  himself in his country’s flag. An American flag. At some point, he was handed a  Mexican flag as well. He clutched it in his hand.

The scene highlighted one of those unique images that only the Olympics can  provide. A moment where sport transcends borders and cultures. (more…)

I was enjoying the Olympics until this idiot Leo Manzano stepped up to win a Silver Medal in the 1,500 meter race, and put his multi-cultural progressive, and selfish, self on full display.

Manzano came to the United States illegally at the age of 4-years-old. Brought by his parents who illegally crossed the border 23 years ago. Eventually he became an American citizen and represented the US on the Olympic team. However, after winning a medal he pranced around with the US flag and the flag of Mexico, proclaiming he won for both America and Mexico.

Sorry Leo, Americans are not hyphenated.  If you wanted to race for Mexico, then go there train, live and race.   This antithetical American exhibition was a big mistake.   Don’t think so?  Well, just watch the backlash.  Watch what happens now as the potential sponsors, or those Madison Avenue types, that have sought his representation will only come from one nation, Mexico.   This guy has just opened up a pandora’s box…….

The 27-year-old was born in Mexico, but the United States is his country now. His father migrated here illegally from the city of Dolores Hidalgo. Manzano was brought here when he was 4. Like most immigrants, they came in search of greater opportunity. And they found it — for themselves, and their children.

That little boy eventually became a U.S. citizen. And then, after a lot of hard work and thousands of hours of training, he got the chance to represent his country and compete in the Olympics. And, to put the cherry on the sundae, he actually wins a silver medal. The last time an American won a medal of any kind in the 1500 meters was 44 years ago.

You can’t help but be proud of Manzano and the country that allowed him the opportunity to fulfill his potential.

So why did Manzano carry two flags with him on his victory lap? As the world looked on, he held up both the U.S. flag and the Mexican flag. Not a good look. And not a good idea. (more…)

Of course, no-one in the media would challenge defining the Sikh Temple shooting as “terrorism” with the ethnicity of the gunman, Wade Michael Page, who was white, and the Fort Hood shooter, Nidal Hasan, who is muslim right?

(CNSNews.com) – U.S. Attorney Eric Holder, speaking at the Sikh Temple shooting memorial service in Oak Creek, Wis., on Friday, called the tragedy “an act of terrorism, an act of hatred,” and “a hate crime that is anathema to the founding principles of our nation and to who we are as an American people.”

The gunman, identified as Wade Michael Page, shot nine people at the Sikh Temple of Wisconsin – killing six and injuring three others. Page, a suspected white Supremacist, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to police. (more…)

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) –  An elderly couple is recovering Tuesday after they were brutally beaten inside their south Kansas City home.  The woman, 84, was also raped, according to a police report.

Tony L. Putman, 18, of Kansas City was charged with six felonies Tuesday afternoon. The charges include one count of rape and two counts of robbery.

The couple’s ordeal began about 1:30 p.m. Monday when a man broke into their home near 73rd Street and Campbell Avenue. Entry was gained through a basement window, which was broken.

The 93-year-old man was home alone when the suspect began to ransack the house and attacked him, police said.

Putman hit the man in the face and bound him with belts, according to court documents.  In the meantime, the man’s 84-year-old wife came home. She had been at the bank where she had gotten $400. (more…)

A dark skinned one legged,  female artist and former Iraq combat soldier; who is pregnant from spending her life savings on IVF, and now without health insurance having received the Medal of Valor for saving a troop of newly discovered white supremists in combat, is coping with parents who own a chick-fil-a franchise because she wants to marry a Palestinian woman in North Carolina…. or something.

WASHINGTON DC – Advisers to President Barack Obama are scripting a Democratic National Convention featuring several Republicans in a prime-time appeal to independents — and planning a blistering portrayal of Mitt Romney as a heartless aristocrat who “would devastate the American middle class,” Democratic sources tell POLITICO.

According to convention planning documents, the three-night convention in Charlotte, N.C., early next month will seek to “[e]xpose Mitt Romney as someone who doesn’t understand middle class challenges” while also burnishing “the President’s image as someone whose life story is about fighting for middle class Americans and those working to get into the middle class.” (more…)

Last Friday Manuel Castro, a resident of West Hollywood, was so proud of his artistic expression he chose to give an interview to the Huffington Post…an interview given only hours after he had emblazoned the words “Tastes Like Hate” across the wall of a Torrance Chick-fil-A restaurant.  Not being satisfied with taking credit for the deed only once, Mr. Castro proceeded to again reach out to the Huffington Post four days later, on Aug. 7th.

“My statement painted on the side of the Chick-Fil-A in Torrance was not born out of hate.  It was born out of frustration.   It was meant to further a discussion about tolerance and acceptance.  My Facebook wall was simply not large enough to do this.  Contrary to popular belief, I am a proud Christian and I wholly subscribe to the verse: “Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone.”

Make no mistake, this article by Nicholas Kristof is deflective propaganda.   The fix is in!   The cake is baked!  They just need to protect the administration from the sunlight of what is really going on…..   Get engaged.

Kristof is advocating for President Obama to “get engaged” in the Syrian conflict “as if” he, Obama, is not the primary driver behind the current regime overthrow.   This is political cover and pure propaganda.  Kristof writes:

[…] An intervention can always go awry, and there are legitimate concerns about the behavior of Syrian rebels. It is also true that an election year isn’t an ideal time for an intervention, although on this one Obama could work with Republicans to win bipartisan support.

Look, I’m no hawk. I was strongly against the Iraq war and the Afghan surge, and I’m firmly against today’s drift toward war with Iran. But Syria, like Libya, is a rare case where we can take modest steps that stand a good chance of accelerating the fall of a dictator. And after 17 months, there’s growing agreement that Obama should no longer remain a bystander.
