Brutally obvious……

(Reuters) – British author Salman Rushdie, who lived in hiding for nine years under a death sentence from Iran’s supreme leader, said in an interview published on Thursday that something had gone wrong at the heart of Islam.

Rushdie told Le Monde newspaper that his years fleeing the 1989 fatwa from Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini had forced him to pay close attention to a radicalization of the Muslim world.

“Something has gone wrong at the heart of Islam. It is quite recent. I remember when I was young, many cities in the Muslim world were cosmopolitan cities with a lot of culture,” he said in an interview published in French.

“For me, it is a tragedy that this culture has regressed to this point, like a self-inflicted wound. The Islam in which I grew up was open, influenced by Sufism and Hinduism, and not like the one which is spreading rapidly at the moment.” (more…)

I’m not saying that all Libyan’s are radical bloodthirsty Islamists.  Indeed most of the Western Libyan citizenry (Tripoli areas) are very friendly to European and American sentiments.

However, conversely I do not believe that radicalized Jihadists are an insignificant minority.   In Southern, Central and Eastern Libya (Benghazi area) the Sharia Compliant Islamist ideology represents the primary view. (more…)

(Read His GITMO File)  In the early 80’s he -and his cohorts- were our enemy (he was in his early twenties); then in the late 80’s with the Mujahadeen he became an ally (early thirties); then when the Mujahadeen evolved to the Taliban 90’s he became our enemy again (late thirties);  In 2002 he became our prisoner (early forties), in 2007 we released him (45 years old), in 2011 he became an ally against Gadaffi (fifties), in 2012 he killed our ambassador.

The State Department and White House both claim they had “no actionable intelligence” prior to the Benghazi attack that killed Ambassador Stevens and the numerous attacks on US embassies around the Middle East.

They are Flat Out Lying

We knew early on they were not being truthful, it was quite simply obvious.  Now, as the days continue to pass, more and more information is coming out to prove with specificity the security aparatus just failed miserably.   What is sickening to witness is how the Legacy Media (sans Fox and the Web)  are protecting President Obama and avoiding the TRUTH.

The Libyan President has admitted to warning our US officials about the potential for violent attacks on our interests in his country around the date Sept. 11th, yet the administration and the State Department did nothing.   Nothing.

(Virginia Pilot)  Last July, a top Pentagon official gave two Hollywood filmmakers the name of a Navy SEAL involved in training the squad of commandos who carried out the raid that killed Osama bin Laden. Now, the Obama administration is fighting to keep that same name from the public.

In legal papers filed Friday in U.S. District Court in Washington, the Justice Department argued that the government is under no obligation to make public the SEAL’s name or the names of Central Intelligence Agency personnel involved simply because officials shared their names, partial names or identities with the makers of a forthcoming movie about the raid, “Zero Dark Thirty.” (more…)

If you were to ask a random room of people to name one thing complimentary about Jimmy Carter’s term as President from 1976-1980 I can guar-an-damn-tee you the only thing they could come up with is the “Camp David Peace Accords”.

So with the exploding anti-Americanism visible ALL OVER the Middle East (Deja-vu), and with the President Obama doctrine essentially mirroring the Carter Doctrine,  who do you think stands to look the worst currently and historically?

Consequently, does it come as a “surprise” the legacy media-hyped video tapes showing Mitt Romney in a progressively defined “negative light” stemmed from, as in -originated from- wait for it, Jimmy Carter’s 35-year-old grandson, Jimmy Carter IV.    Hello?

(Via The Hill)  The grandson of former president Jimmy Carter told NBC News that he was motivated by Republican attacks on his grandfather’s foreign policy record to help leak a secretly recorded video that has become Mitt Romney’s latest headache.

James Carter IV, who is 35 and unemployed, said he helped persuade the person who filmed the May 17 fundraiser in Boca Raton, Fla., to leak the video to the press. Carter described himself as a “partisan Democrat” devoted to getting president Obama reelected, but he also told NBC that he had a personal stake in going after Romney.  (more)
