Newly released documents to the House Reform Committee show the claim of two rogue IRS agents targeting conservative from the Cincinnati IRS office is, well, ridiculous.

When/if all investigations are complete this will be more than just the IRS;  This approach will also reconcile the example of Gibson Guitar targeting and many other rabid overreaches of this administration.

(WASHINGTON DC – VIA DAILY MAIL)  Interviews with IRS employees have  established that the Washington, D.C. headquarters of the Internal Revenue  Service was engaged in targeting tea party groups and other conservative  organizations for unfair levels of scrutiny when they applied for tax-exempt  status.

Rep. Darrel lssa, chairman of powerful House  Committee of Oversight and Government Reform, made that startling announcement  on CNN Sunday morning.

‘As late as last week,’ he said, ‘the [Obama]  administration was still trying to say the [IRS targeting scandal] was from a  few rogue agents in Cincinnati, when in fact the indication is that they were  directly being ordered from Washington.’ (more…)

WASHINGTON DC – Valerie Jarrett, a top adviser to President Barack Obama, says she and the rest of the White House remain “very upbeat” despite the series of scandals that have engulfed the Obama administration in recent weeks.

“In any given day, our administration has about 2 million employees, and things happen,” Jarrett tells the Boston Globe. “We put in process procedures to make sure if there has been any wrongdoing, there will be appropriate consequences, and we will move on.”

Jarrett just wants to move on from the scandals. And, she says, the American people want these scandals not to serve as a distraction. (more…)

The Daily Caller collected the data on White House visitors and put it into a graph form. The main reason for them doing so was to highlight the implausible nature of the IRS Commissioner, Douglas Shulman, visiting the White House 157 times and not discussing the intentional targeting of “Conservatives”.

But there’s more to be learned also. Wouldn’t this list also reflect the Administrations priorities? (more…)

The Associated Press, The New York Times, Reuters, CNN, FOX, NBC, The Huffington Post and more, are refusing the “off record” reach out by Eric Holder to justify his personal approval of  targeting the media by the Dept. Of Justice.  He wants a meeting to explain his secret investigation(s) of the media, but he only wants to conduct the meeting “off the record”, in secret, away from public scrutiny.

I guess there’s only so much water the Administration’s lapdogs can actually carry.  Who knew?

Washington (CNN) – Attorney General Eric Holder’s plans to sit down with media representatives to discuss guidelines for handling investigations into leaks to the news media have run into trouble.

The Associated Press issued a statement Wednesday objecting to plans for the meetings to be off the record. “If it is not on the record, AP will not attend and instead will offer our views on how the regulations should be updated in an open letter,” said Erin Madigan White, the AP’s media relations manager.

The New York Times is taking the same position. “It isn’t appropriate for us to attend an off-the-record meeting with the attorney general,” executive editor Jill Abramson said in a statement. (more…)

Et tu Bobte’ ….. You know things are seriously headed in the wrong direction for the Modern Liberal Establishment when even CBS’s Bob Schieffer stands aghast:

Schieffer probably runs up there in the stratospheric water-carrying media close to the same level of Mr. Tingles (Chris Matthews). So when you see propagandist sympathizers like him begin to doubt Dear Leader, you know trouble exists.

Jim Hoft has a great post up at GateWayPundit about exposing the strategy of the DSCC (Democrat Senatorial Campaign Committee).    In essence this outlines EXACTLY what we said last week they were going to do – it’s just how they roll.

It’s important to note these are not campaign PAC’s, or merely affiliate entities of the Democrat party, like Think Progress or Media Matters et al.   These are the ACTUAL and OFFICIAL statements from the Democrat Party itself.

The Progs are seriously distraught about how the scandals of using official political power to attack the conservative movement is actually creating a backlash.   More people now are openly understanding how Conservatives have been, and continue to be, targeted, in an official capacity, by the Administration of President Obama.

Previously, the left-of-center crowd (ie blue dogs) thought these Tea Party claims were merely “tin foil hat” type of conspiracy theory.   Now the Independents, and moderate Democrats are realizing it’s not wild conspiracy, it’s true.

(Via Breitbart)  On Wednesday, House hearings on the Internal Revenue Service’s (IRS) political targeting of conservative groups uncovered a startling revelation about the interview process used to construct the Inspector General’s report: Obama donor-turned-IRS director of tax exempt organizations Holly Paz sat in on 36 of 41 interviews with IRS employees.

“Why was Holly Paz… in almost all of the interviews you conducted?” asked Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC). “Why would you have someone from the IRS in those meetings? Is that proper protocol?”

“I am unaware of it,” said Inspector General J. Russell George. “This is the first I’ve heard this.” (more…)

If you wonder why the IRS officials seem Teflon coated in this scandal consider that in 2010, 2011 and 2012 top congressional Democrats demanded the IRS take action against the Tea Party and other conservative groups the Congress People claimed were engaging in political activity.

Starting in the fall of 2010, ten leading Democrats – Including, Max Baucus, Chuck Schumer, and Al Franken – wrote the IRS demanding that the agency crack down on conservative groups. Now that actual targeting has taken place, merely just doing what the Democrats demanded the IRS do, the same Democrats claim outrage at the activity.    Typical CYA Progs.

WASHINGTON DC – REPORT 1 – Lois Lerner, the Internal Revenue Service’s director of exempt organizations, has been placed on administrative leave, according to a source in the agency’s Cincinnati office.

Lerner on Thursday afternoon sent an e-mail to employees in the exempt organizations division she oversees stating, “Due to the events of recent days, I am on administrative leave starting today. An announcement will be made shortly informing you who will be acting while I am on administrative leave. I know all of you will continue to support EO’s mission during these difficult times.” She concluded, “I thank you for all your hard work and dedication,” adding, “The work you do is important.”  (LINK)
