MIDLOTHIAN — A Mansfield firefighter and former Marine taking down an armed robber with his bare hands was caught on camera at a Midlothian gas station. And now, Daniel Gaskey is being hailed as a hero.

The robbery took place June 26 at the Exxon Oasis Food Store on 9th Street in Midlothian, according to Midlothian Police Sgt. Nick Harp.

It started out as a regular day for Gaskey.  “It was about 6:15 in the morning. I was on my way to work, stopped in here like I normally do before my shift and just getting some water or coffee, you know, just stuff to start the day,” Gaskey said.

Security video captured the incident, showing Gaskey standing at the counter getting ready to pay when a white male, wearing a black mask and red and black jacket, enters and shoves him aside. (more…)

Despite frequent indications to the contrary, leftists continue to proclaim the intellect of President Obama. However, during a press conference today the real intellect surfaces.

In a press conference to announce that there will be no troop drawdown in Afghanistan this year, Obama referred to Afghan President Ashraf Ghani as “President Karzai” while he was standing right next to him. (read more)

A little more than a month ago Dear Leader referred to James Franco as “James Flacco” while talking about Sony’s decision to pull “The Interview” from theaters over a hacking scandal at the hands of North Korea.

This sign was not constructed with the title in mind and we factually have no evidence of what the intent was.

However, that said – In my humble opinion this approach should be taken writ large by all municipalities who find themselves under the increasingly ridiculous scrutiny of the civil rights division of the DOJ via “Disparate Impact”.

This country we love is just, well, AWESOME.   Americans are just flippin’ awesome.  Patriotic humor is often brilliant, and multi-purpose agitprop at this level is just off the charts brilliant.  Well done you glorious bastard.
