First Lts. Andrew Yacovone and Justin Wright formed a musical duo called Interstate 10, and this week they released a music video from Afghanistan.
These same army rangers (currently stationed in Afghanistan) are guitarists who wrote and performed the song “Hometown Hero” last year, and they have another song out this week, called “I’m Gonna Miss You,” just in time for Memorial Day.

A Personal Note – There are a handful of people who have had such an incredible impact upon my own personal perspectives on life’s challenges as Coach Holtz.
About ten years ago, during a dinner with Lou Holtz he told me the story of his arrival at Notre Dame. Coach Holtz arrived to find his team filled with untapped talent, yet torn with internal conflict, turmoil, inter-player animosity and backbiting. The story he told me that evening is a metaphor for current political events.

Kambree Nelson was in California Friday night and was able to meet Donald Trump. She talked to Wayne Dupree about the event and the meeting, here’s an excerpt:
If, like me, you grew up in a much simpler time and understandably accept the #1 best candy of all time is cherry flavored Pez. Perhaps you too might remember the epic sandlot arguments about which super-hero was strongest.
Mighty Mouse -vs- Atom Ant, an obvious source of constant turmoil and prone to the creation of various alliances within the neighborhood. The wrong answer in Spiderman -vs- Captain America could see you locked from the fort until you got your mind right.
If the conversation got really serious eventually someone would bring up Cops -vs- Fireman. You could hear a pin drop as each member of the fort quickly snapped a gaze upon the questioner. Oh, snap – now things were really serious.
Decades later, the challenge is still played out:
