(Daily Mail) — Left-wing politicians have cynically sought to make political capital out of the riots, blaming government cuts for the orgy of violence.  Labour MPs and activists lined up to make excuses for the thugs, spouting claims that disadvantaged youth had no option but to smash up high streets.   Chris Williamson, Labour MP for Derby North, suggested the Government’s austerity drive was to blame. (via American Interest) For some time now, residents of some US cities have noted occasional incidents of seemingly random, racially motivated violence in which young Black males are involved.  The hot weather and bad economy seem to be combining to generate a small but possibly significant uptick this year.  The national media are doing their best to avoid looking too closely at this disturbing phenomenon, and perhaps for good reason.  What the United States doesn’t need is a media firestorm that triggers copycat violence. WISCONSIN – Witnesses’ accounts claim everything from dozens to hundreds of young  black people beating white people as they left State Fair Thursday  night.  Authorities have not given official estimates of the number of people involved in the attacks.
“It looked like they were just going after white guys, white people,”  said Norb Roffers of Wind Lake in an interview with Newsradio 620 WTMJ.   He left the State Fair Entrance near the corner of South 84th Street  and West Schlinger Avenue in West Allis. (more…)

I have gathered together some random facts, figures, quotes and ponderings that have been on my mind for some time now. Hopefully, we can pull it together and give these loosely related concerns a direction and reach some conclusions. The increasing incidences of urban flash mobs, flashes of truly disgusting lyrics I occasionally overhear, a recent trip to the mall where I had to endure looking at every young black male’s choice of underwear, information on out of wedlock births – all these things have been swirling around in my mind lately. I am no social worker, nor do I claim to be. I am only using common sense to try to connect dots and see patterns, as well as well known statistics, and ideas that many before me have elucidated much more intelligently than I am able to do. This is insufferably upsetting…  I previously shared the story of Carter Strange HERE.  Now it appears his attackers will NOT be charged with “Hate Crimes”, even though I cannot find a distinction in such brutality being defined as “hate”, but I guess I must digress… ugh, ugh, ugh...  (WisTV – SC)COLUMBIA, – Prosecutors say the brutal beating of a teenager last week in Columbia’s Five Points doesn’t appear to have been racially motivated, but the U.S. attorney is still reviewing the case.
Fifth Circuit Solicitor Dan Johnson, who will prosecute the eight people charged with attacking 18-year-old Carter Strange on June 20 before leaving him for dead, said no evidence suggests the beating was racially motivated other than the race of the people involved. (Philadelphia)  The two young women were sitting at a window table inside the Max Brenner restaurant on 15th Street, near Walnut, sharing chocolate fondue after some shopping.  The streets were vibrant. The weather was nice.  “The city had a good vibe,” remembered one of the women, Maria, who requested her full name not be printed.  But their night on the town was about to become frightening.  Heading their way was a pack of teens roving through Center City after leaving a North Philadelphia music festival. For those unfamiliar with Flash Mob Violence it can be disturbing to read about, but things are getting far worse.  Rapidly.    Flash Mobs are groups of violent thugs organized by social media or smart phones to appear at a common place, simultaneously, often for illegal activity.  The concept is to overwhelm a store, market, or even and entire neighborhood, engage in theft or chaos, then disperse before the cops arrive.   (more…)

Lets take a look at one week in Al Sharpton’s America – (Mediaite) — Newt Gingrich’s latest outreach effort to the African-American community is not going over so well with some of the louder members of said group. On MSNBC yesterday, Rev. Al Sharpton argued that for Gingrich to even attempt to court the black vote as a Republican candidate was “an insult” intended to “cover up the fact that his campaign is falling apart,” and an actually an underhanded attempt to suppress the black vote.
