(Via ABC News) Those seeking invites to the most lavish receptions at the 2012 Democratic National Convention, “gold ticket” access to “dialogues,” and private breakfast briefings with party luminaries, can expect a hefty price of admission.

A list of high-end convention packages circulated by the Charlotte in 2012 Convention Host Committee, and obtained by ABC News, shows that those and other perks are being offered to donors who raise $1 million or donate $100,000 to the convention’s nonprofit planning arm.

The cash-for-access formula has been a longtime staple of national political conventions, and though Democrats told ABC News they have tried to shift the focus to access for grassroots supporters this year, critics say the menu of perks for donors is a reminder that those giving big dollars can still expect special treatment. (Via Dinesh D’Souza ) A few days ago I received a call from a man I recently met named George.  He was a bit flustered, and soon informed me that his young son was sick with a chest condition.  He pleaded with me to send him $1,000 to cover the medical bills.  Since George was at the hospital I asked him to let me speak to a nurse, and she confirmed that George’s son was indeed ill.  So I agreed to send George the money through Western Union.  He was profusely grateful.  But before I hung up I asked George, “Why are you coming to me?”  He said, “I have no one else to ask.”  Then he said something that astounded me, “Dinesh, you are like a brother to me.”

Actually, George has a real life brother who just happens to be the president of the United States.  (George Obama is the youngest of eight children sired by Barack Obama Sr.)  George’s brother is a multimillionaire and the most powerful man in the world.  Moreover, George’s brother has framed his re-election campaign around the “fair share” theme that we owe obligations to those who are less fortunate. The part you won’t hear about in President Obama’s “Amnesty by Dictatorial Fiat program” are the thousands rushing over the border to begin the process, and yet thousands more who get their blank copies mailed, faxed and downloaded to sites all around Mexico so they don’t even have to leave their country to apply for Amnesty benefits in the U.S.

Fill out the paperwork in Mexico then send to a connection in the U.S. who walks it into the building and files it.   It is just one way the professional illegal community game the system.

[Last night] , she was the substitute host for Anderson Cooper, a program that boasts of its reputation for “keeping [politicians] honest.” During her interview with Virginia House of Delegates Republican member Barbara Comstock, O’Brien became visibly flustered and was actually caught doing finger stress exercises as she attempted to insert editorial commentary while her guest, a former skilled Republican operative, defended the House GOP budget, designed by Budget Chairman Paul Ryan.

Accidentally, a cameraman captured O’Brien furiously flipping through notes, only to cut out seconds later. What was she viewing?

Some things President Obama does just make you shake your head in disbelief.   During the Iftar dinner Obama heaped praise on Huma Abedin the controversial Hillary aide, wife to disgraced penis-baring Congressman Anthony Weiner and daughter to radical Islamic Muslim Brotherhood supporters, for her “patriotism”. 

Meanwhile who does she sit with?   Read on….. 

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – President Barack Obama on Friday called Huma Abedin, a top aide to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, an “American patriot” after a group of Republican lawmakers accused her of having ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, an Islamist political organization.

“She has been nothing less than extraordinary in representing our country and the democratic values that we hold dear,” Obama said at a White House Iftar dinner celebrating the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.

“The American people owe her a debt of gratitude because Huma is an American patriot and an example of what we need in this country — more public servants with her sense of decency, her grace and her generosity of spirit.” […]

Abedin, a Muslim, was seated on Obama’s right at the dinner and appeared visibly moved as the president spoke to a room full of religious leaders, elected officials and diplomats. (more…)

This is just typical of how the leftist progs roll. During the Paul Ryan speech today a couple of progs disguised themselves in Romney apparel and shouted disruptions. But the antagonist has been identified via Gateway Pundit.

The heckler was disguised in a Romney T-shirt! So will Barack Obama condemn this?

…he barely got a chance to compliment a spectator’s “cool” Packers jersey and offer an anecdote about how awesome State Fair wrist band days are before the heckling began.

Caught off guard for a second by a couple of women right in front, Ryan regained his cool and told the rest of the crowd that the women must not be from Iowa or Wisconsin since folks from those states are kind and respectful. He then pointed them out to security guards who crossed the stage and dragged the struggling women out.

Ok, back to it, right? Not so fast. Moments later, another couple, a man and a woman, began shouting for Ryan to “Stop the war on the common good!”

Ryan fans tried to cover the protesters with Mitt Romney signs as Ryan tried to talk over the noise.
