Virtually everyone is twisting into pretzel like contortions trying to figure out what caused the apparent confusion, chaos, misinformation and mistakes between the White House and the State Department in the Benghazi attack that led to the death of Libyan Ambassador Stevens, aide Sean Smith, and former SEAL’s Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods.
Jennifer Ruben does a great job recently outlining the machinations HERE.
[…] Moreover, the State Department now confesses there was no protest at all outside the Libyan installation before the attack.
That’s awfully problematic, given that Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice went on five talk shows suggesting in fact that the movie did provoke the attack. Mitt Romney’s top foreign policy adviser, Richard Williamson, told Right Turn, “Last time I checked, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations was part of the U.S. State Department.” (article)
However, we think possibly we have been able to piece it all together will a little research and dot connecting from the archives. When you step back you realize the big picture is not what it seems at all.
Benghazi was not an assassination attempt, it was a botched kidnapping. (more…)
This is what is going to bring down the house of lies…. this type of publicity and pressure.
According to CNN’s Fran Townsend, the autopsy on all four victims was done at Andrews Air Force Base and attended by the FBI which is standard procedure. It is unfathomable that the families would not yet have been told what the causes of death were for their loved ones.
Unless, that is, the actual cause of death was too horrific for the administration to admit, accept or allow public. After all, it’s only 3 more Tuesdays to the election.
Remember, this is the same mindset that argued “it depends on what your definition of “is” is.”

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney comes back to the podium. He’s been in hiding for 15 days while the administration tried to duck questions on Libya, and they coordinated a collective message about how to talk about Benghazi without being caught in the lies they had previously stated.
ABC News’ Jake Tapper grilled White House press secretary Jay Carney today on the administrations response to attacks on US Embassy in Benghazi, “Didn’t President Obama shoot first, and aim later?”
The ABC moderator, Martha Raddatz, for tomorrows Vice-Presidential Debate has just been revealed to be a long term close personal friend with President Obama. Her former husband was on the Harvard Law Review with the President, and Obama attended their wedding. ABC attempted to hide the association.

(Via DC) President Barack Obama was a guest at the 1991 wedding of ABC senior foreign correspondent and vice presidential debate moderator Martha Raddatz, The Daily Caller has learned. Obama and groom Julius Genachowski, whom Obama would later tap to head the Federal Communications Commission, were Harvard Law School classmates at the time and members of the Harvard Law Review. This is unreal. Seriously, unreal. Everytime I think the Obama administration cannot go any lower on the intellectually honest scale they find new ways to lower the bar. There is no longer daylight visible between the bar and the dirt.
WASHINGTON (AP) — The State Department said Tuesday it never concluded that the consulate attack in Libya stemmed from protests over an American-made video ridiculing Islam, raising further questions about why the Obama administration used that explanation for more than a week after assailants killed the U.S. ambassador and three other Americans. (it goes on)
Stop – Wait… wha? The State Dept never concluded the attack was from protests? Huh?

Massive unemployment, an economy contracting, exploding deficits, the flag of al-Qaeda being flown over U.S. embassies, and U.S. Ambassadors arriving home in coffins.
What is President Obama focused on?
Is it really any wonder why he, and his like-minded followers are circling the drain?
Meanwhile The Obama Campaign is focused on Big Bird….
The State Department is coming under more scrutiny ahead of anticipated hearings scheduled for tomorrow. Request for additional security fell on deaf ears, and despite State Dept claims there were no protests in front of the consulate in Benghazi. The Democrats are petrified of the impact on the election, desperate to protect President Obama, and are attempting rabid obfuscation:
The Congressional Hearing will be streamed live tomorrow at noon on the web – AVAILABLE HERE
(Reuters) – A U.S. security officer formerly stationed in Libya has told lawmakers he sent two cables to the State Department requesting more security agents for the American mission in Benghazi but received no response.
The officer, Eric Nordstrom, also said that a State Department official, Charlene Lamb, wanted to keep the number of U.S. security personnel in Benghazi “artificially low,” according to a memo summarizing his comments that was obtained by Reuters. (more…)
This is good for a chuckle. Remember our discussion thread about the Pro-Obama SuperPac pulling out of Ohio? Well, the public polling is confirming why. Mitt Romney winning in Ohio.
Keep in mind, this poll is D+9 – Giving 9% turnout advantage to Obama and yet Romney still wins the poll.
OHIO – The good news in today’s ARG poll of Ohio is not that Romney’s leading 48-47%, it’s that the party ID breakdown doesn’t reflect anything nearing reality, D+9. There’s just no way Democrats will enjoy a nine-point turnout advantage over Romney in Ohio. But in order to believe Romney’s only up by one, that’s exactly what you have to assume. […]
The poll also shows Romney is also winning Independents by a full 20 points, 57-37%.
Romney’s winning men by four points, 50-46%, and only losing women by three, 48-45%. (more)
