Harry Reid says he will raise the debt limit ceiling to just under $19 trillion.

(CNSNews.com) – Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said on Wednesday that if the $16.394 trillion current legal limit on the federal government’s debt must be raised in the next few months by another $2.4 trillion, “We’ll raise it.”

That would set the debt limit at $18.794 trillion.  (article)

In the Fall of 2008 a strategic decision was made by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, and then Senator Barack Obama.   There would be no fiscal year 2009 budget, instead they opted specifically and intentionally to use “Continuing Resolutions” to fund government. In November 2010, during the “lame duck” legislative session post-election, I took considerable heat via mocking and ridicule for a fundamentally abhorrent position to Republicans.   I said then:  “give President Obama everything he wants” !

Which included:

• Elimination of Bush tax rates (all of them)
• A new $1 Trillion + Omnibus spending bill which people called “Porkulous”
• Repeal of Don’t ask Don’t Tell
• Extension of Unemployment Benefits 
• The 9/11 First responders payoffs bill
• and more….

Because this was the 2010 “rebuke” election where President Obama had just been delivered a “shellacking” by the conservative takeover of the House of Representatives, many people openly ridiculed me as ‘out-of-my-mind’. (more…)

(HatTip Maksim) I’m sure most know who Bill Whittle is.  He made this video late Tuesday night just hours after the election was decided.   It is long (90 minutes), he rambles some, gets off point at times, but what he lays out is truly revolutionary.  It should be watched this in its entirety.   You may scoff and dismiss it, or just disagree, that’s fine it’s an idea that’s not for everyone.

*Note:  The last budget ever signed into law was signed in September 2007 by George W. Bush.  Since then the Democrat party has manipulated the political sphere to insure all spending happens by “Continuing Resolution”, thereby embedding the “Stimulus” into the baseline budget of all spending moving forward.   When the Dems began this process the entire accumulated national Debt was $8.5 Trillion (July 1776 to Sept 2007) – It is now grown beyond $16 Trillion in 5 years….

The unbearable hypocrisy of the Democrat party, supported by the irrelevent Institutional Legacy Media, is really annoying today.   I don’t know if I can survive four years of this…

The latest two examples are the “Fiscal Cliff” from President Obama’s Sequestration can-kicking, and the pontificating demands of the progs for “bi-partisan support”.   (Bi-Partisan is leftist code word for ‘give us what we demand’ or we’ll call you obstructionists). (more…)

It can reasonably be stated the Benghazi, Libya attack against the U.S., and the failures of the Administration and intelligence community is a DEAD STORY.   It’s done, over, kaput.

Nothing about the who’s, what’s, where’s of the murders and the complicit ineptitude of the Obama administration to protect them is of consequence any longer.

The Obama Administration, and the Chicago machine that coordinates the administration,  has effectively eliminated the issue. (more…)

Harry Reid and Chuck Schumer will change the Senate rules to pass legislation with a simple majority.  They will not eliminate the filibuster rule per se’, they will simply enact a 51 vote threshold rule for legislative passage.  (Reasoning to follow)

Once the immediate needs of the individual constituency of democrat coalitions is paid off, (Amnesty for Latino’s, Gay Marriage for LGBT, etc) the machinations that include Harry Reid will move by fall 2013 on Carbon Taxation programs.  Together with the EPA Regulatory arm a system of “Carbon Trading” will be instituted prior to the run up to the mid-term 2014 election, hence the fall 2013 kick off just like Obamacare fall 2009. Puerto Rico voted yesterday to become the 51st state – Barack Obama said he would honor their vote.

Almost 80% of the island’s electorate took part in the referendum, the fourth in the past 45 years.

With almost all the votes counted, almost 54% voted to change the island’s relationship with the US.   And in reply to a second question on what future they favored, nearly two-thirds wanted full statehood… (more…)

I’m aware that being on the receiving end of the mercy of God, personally or nationally, does not always mean being spared the consequences

I’m aware that the terrible and real loss that had been suspected is now documented. The reports have now come back on the tests that were done to check for national malignancy. It’s Stage 4. There is no more maneuvering room for yet one more fallback position. There was an ugly line drawn across the page as darkness fell last night and a new chapter is under way.

The broad expansive joys of simply being an American seem to be dust. We know today for sure, if we weren’t sure of it before, that we are no longer the go-to nation. We are no longer a functioning Republic. I am painfully aware today that here in our new home, we are twenty-five miles as the crow flies from the physical “end of the Oregon trail.” (more…)
