Progressive Liars – yeah, I know, it’s an oxymoron…..  But there is no doubt when it comes to espousing an ideology a progressive will do anything, say anything and avoid anything that does not reconcile with their ideological view of the world.  They are notorious fibbers.

Such is the case with former Congresscritter Gabby Giffords as she claims, falsely, that Jared Loughner evaded a background check.   He didn’t, he passed one.   But progs cannot let a pesky thing like truth get in the way of their pontifications, an all too familiar mantra.

I think about patience every day as I continue to regain my speech and the mobility I lost after I was shot in the head two years ago, while meeting with my constituents in the parking lot of grocery store in my district.

FLORIDA – The executive director of the State Attorney’s Office is leaving the  employment of Angela Corey.

Richard Komando resigned his position Thursday. In his three-sentence  resignation letter, Komando said his last day in the office would be that day,  but he will be taking leave through April 19 when he will officially depart.  Komondo declined to comment on his departure Friday.

This is the fourth high-profile employee to depart the State Attorney’s  Office in the last year. Chief Assistant State Attorney Dan McCarthy, former  executive director Mike Weinstein and Nassau County chief Wes White also  resigned.  (link)

Both Komando and Weinstein were both Executive Directors of the State Attorneys  office both reporting directly to Angela Corey. An Executive Director manages  the business office, human resource, and the office budget. Who would know best  about any money being used to pad Angela Coreys pension. This is a Salem Witch  hunt to find out who leaked the information to the press about Angela Corey  taking tax payer money to pad her retirement pension. The times Union created  some very bad press about the pension padding and this sounds like a Witch hunt  by Angela Corey to find the leak (link)

(via Mediaite)  On Friday, Sean Hannity brought Pat Smith, mother of the late Sean Smith, on his radio program. The 34-year-old information management officer was one of four Americans murdered in the Benghazi embassy attack on September 11, 2012.

In the chilling interview, a distraught Ms. Smith, in tears, pleaded for answers and spoke of the efforts to silence her.

Ms. Smith first relayed how her son, prior to the attack, requested additional security in advance and warned the State Department:

He did tell them, ahead of time, he typed it into his little typewriter over there, that they were going to be attacked, ‘please they needed more security,’ and they were ignored. And I don’t appreciate everybody going to bed and going to sleep and not taking care of the guys that they put in harm’s way, one of them being my son. (more…)

CAIRO (AP) — A mob threw rocks and fired birdshot Sunday at several hundred Christians marching in a protest against Egypt’s Islamist government after the funeral of four Christians killed in sectarian clashes over the weekend.

The Christians were chanting slogans against Islamist President Mohammed Morsi, just as several thousand did earlier during the funeral service nearby in the Coptic Orthodox cathedral in Cairo.

The attacking mob, described by witnesses as residents of the area, forced the marchers to take shelter inside the sprawling cathedral complex. They also showered the protesters with rocks from the roofs of nearby buildings, according to witness Ibrahim el-Shareef. (more…)

WASHINGTON DC – Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Friday that unless nominations start moving swiftly through the Senate, another round of dramatic rules changes may be in the offing.

The Nevada Democrat said that while he was “happy” with the modest rules changes adopted in January on a bipartisan basis, the number of pending judicial nominations led him to warn his colleagues of the potential for the chamber’s rules to be modified at any point in the year, not just at the opening of a new Congress. WASHINGTON DC – The budget President Barack Obama will submit on April 10 will contain a proposal that would prohibit individuals from accumulating more than $3 million in Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) and tax-preferred retirement accounts.

According to a White House statement, the Obama administration believes the current rules allow some wealthy individuals “to accumulate many millions of dollars in these accounts, substantially more than is needed to fund reasonable levels of retirement saving.”

“The budget would limit an individual’s total balance across tax-preferred accounts to an amount sufficient to finance an annuity of not more than $205,000 per year in retirement, or about $3 million in 2013,” the statement said. “This proposal would raise $9 billion over 10 years.”  (read more)

COLORADO – An attempt by Colorado lawmakers to ban welfare recipients from withdrawing their benefits at ATMs located inside strip clubs was killed by Democrats Thursday night, even though the state House’s third-ranking Democratic legislator supported the measure.

Democratic Rep. Dan Pabon lent his support to the Republican-led proposal, offered as an amendment during a debate on the state budget Thursday night, because it would hew to a similar federal rule, according to the Denver Post. Pabon introduced a bill on the issue two years ago, but it didn’t clear the state Senate. (more…)

It’s so common it’s getting overwhelming to write about.  The hypocrisy of the leftist progs just surrounds you in all directions.   This is yet one more example, albeit an example I hate to share:

(HuffPo)  People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is an organization that publicly claims to represent the best interest of animals — indeed their “ethical treatment.” Yet approximately 2,000 animals pass through PETA’s front door every year and very few make it out alive.

The vast majority — 96 percent in 2011 — exit the facility out the back door after they have been killed, when Pet Cremation Services of Tidewater stops by on their regular visits to pick up their remains. Between these visits, the bodies are stored in the giant walk-in freezer PETA installed for this very purpose. It is a freezer that cost $9,370 and, like the company which incinerates the bodies of PETA’s victims, was paid for with the donations of animal lovers who could never have imagined that the money they donated to help animals would be used to end their lives instead. In fact, in the last 11 years, PETA has killed 29,426 dogs, cats, rabbits, and other domestic animals.

Earlier we brought you the story of how the Housing and Urban Development has lost account for over $700 million in taxpayer money they slopped into the grievance trough after Katrina.

Here is yet another example of how The Federal Government promotes the fiscal dependency initiatives.    The same department, H.U.D, now promoting discrimination complaints for muslims.   

When you read the claim by H.U.D. ask yourself a simple question.   Is there really rampant discrimination based on religion in housing?   Really?…, or is this just another Pigfordesque guise. (more…)
