Univision reporters questioned President Obama about Operation Fast and Furious.   His response was not only manufactured spin, it was blatently false.

Operation “Wide Receiver” during the Bush Administration was a weapons tracing operation in full support and cooperation with the Mexican government.   300 firearms were tracked and the operation ended in 2007.

Operation “Fast and Furious” was started under the Obama Administration, it was a gun walking operation letting over 2,000 untracked weapons cross the border, and the Mexican government knew NOTHING about the operation.

Hopefully the Univision audience can spot the disingenuous lies so easily repeated by President Obama.

(CBS News) The Inspector General (IG) draft report on Fast and Furious heaps blame on the Phoenix-based staff of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) according to those familiar with the document.

A year and a half in the making, the report examines Operation Fast and Furious, which began under the Obama administration, and the smaller Operation Wide Receiver which started under the Bush administration and was prosecuted under the Obama administration. In both cases, ATF agents allowed guns to “walk” or fall into the hands of Mexican drug cartels. The idea was to see where the guns ended up and catch a “big fish” of a cartel.

The IG’s report is expected to be publicly released in the next few weeks. (more…)

(Via WZ) At least nine people were killed and 28 others wounded in a spate of shootings since Friday night in Chicago, according to local reports.

The most recent shooting death occurred on Sunday afternoon in the city’s South Side, where a 19-year-old was shot from a passing vehicle, according to the Sun-Times Media Wire.  The man died in the hospital after the 2:50 p.m. (3:50 p.m. ET) shooting, the Sun-Times Media Wire reported.

At least 17 people were shot, one fatally, from 6 p.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Sunday alone, according to the Chicago Tribune. (more…)

There is something going on, something odd, with returning combat military soldiers.   They are closely tracked, there is a concerted and coordinated following of their activity, and, in many cases, odd interventionist steps by the federal government via law enforcement to remove/restrict their assimilation into mainstream society.

I don’t know how to connect all these seemingly random, yet not disparate, dots into a cogent discussion thread, but something is definitely afoot.   Something.

We saw it recently with the former Marine who was removed from his home for a facebook post questioning government; and in a larger sense, that one example does not stand alone.  Located within various chat-rooms, websites, patriot corners etc. etc. you will find multiple examples of government officials taking custody of veterans under various auspices, mostly psychological concerns.

Update 3:  Yep, the NY Daily News Confirms it was the cops who shot all the bystanders.   Jeffrey Johnson shot one person, the police shot the other nine.   Police *claim* Johnson pointed his handgun at them, they fired 16 times hitting Johnson 7 times and the remaining bullets hit nine other people.

(Via NY Daily News)  A fired employee murdered a hated co-worker on a packed Midtown sidewalk  before dying in spray of police bullets that left nine bleeding bystanders  sprawled Friday outside the Empire State Building, authorities said.

Cold-blooded killer Jeffrey  Johnson, wearing a business suit and carrying a briefcase, pumped five fatal  bullets into his victim near the 33rd St. entrance to the skyscraper, a witness  told the Daily News.

Johnson, 53, after casually strolling from the murder scene, was shot to  death within minutes in a wild Fifth Ave. free-for-all with cops that sent  tourists and pedestrians diving for cover.

Nine other people were wounded, none too seriously, before the shooting  stopped just after 9 a.m. near the main Fifth Ave. entrance to the iconic  building.

Two officers fired 16 rounds at Johnson from about eight feet away after the  gunman pointed his weapon at the pair, police said.

The gunman was struck seven times, with the other bullets and bullet  fragments hitting the innocent victims. It appears Johnson never squeezed off a  shot at the cops. (more…)

(FOX News) A security guard at the Family Research Council’s headquarters in Washington,  D.C. is being hailed as a hero after he stopped a gunman posing as an intern,  taking a bullet in the arm before wrestling the suspect to the ground.

The gunman entered the lobby of the organization’s Chinatown headquarters  around 10:45 and expressed disagreement with the conservative group’s policy  positions, Fox News has learned. When the guard, who was not identified, asked  him where he was going, he opened fire, according to police.

“The security guard here is a hero, as far as I’m concerned,” D.C. Police  Chief Cathy Lanier said. ”He did his job. The person never made it past the  front.” (more…)

The very sad and tragic shooting in Wisconsin will again provide another opportunity for the “Gun Control” advocates to exploit the issue and call again for restrictions on gun ownership and purchases.   The statistics cited in support of this viewpoint of course skews the data, and is cherry-picked to affirm their point of view.  It ignores that the vast majority of gun crime is committed by minorities against other minorities; not by white male Teaparty members, or that in the hands of anyone deranged and motivated, anything will suffice as a weapon – such as the genocide in Rwanda that was carried out by machete.

George Zimmerman’s Lawyer To Speak At Gun Rights Conference –  If you were on George Zimmerman’s  defense team, wouldn’t you want to stay away from people who celebrate gun possession at least until after your client’s trial given the fact that Zimmerman is regarded by many people as trigger-happy, reckless, and remorseless?

President Barack Obama expressed sadness in a statement responding to…..

“Michelle and I were deeply saddened to learn of the shooting that tragically took so many lives in XXXXXXXX,” he said. “At this difficult time, the people of XXXXXX must know that the American people have them in our thoughts and prayers, and our hearts go out to the families and friends of those who were killed and wounded.”

“My Administration will provide whatever support is necessary to the officials who are responding to these tragic shootings and moving forward with an investigation. As we mourn this loss which took place, […] we are reminded how much our country has been enriched by XXXXXX, who are a part of our broader American family.”

Greenfield Police Chief Brad Wentlandt, public information officer for the city of Oak Creek:

[…] about 10:25 am, police dispatch received multiple 9/11 calls for a shooting.  A 20 year law enforcement veteran was the first person on the scene. He engaged an active shooter outside the temple. Multiple rounds were exchanged, officer was shot multiple times. He is in surgery, condition unknown.

The shooter was also shot. He is down on the scene and presumed deceased. Tactical officers have made multiple runs through the facility. The best information we have now. Two individuals were transported from the scene for gunshot wounds. One being the officer, one being a civilian.

The tactical personal have additional identified 4 deceased inside of the temple and three deceased outside the temple, one of whom is the shooter. (more…)
