Tex has been hanging around the Treehouse for so long, we can’t imagine what life would be like without him.  Well…on second thought, we can imagine…B-O-R-I-N-G.  He’s the life of our party and a consummate raconteur par excellence.  You’ll usually find him conversing with one of our admins, another proud Texan called WeeWeed.

Two of the things we most admire about Tex are his affinity for Fridays and Bud Light beer, and the other would be his undying loyalty to the “Treehouse Tin Foil Society”.  That’s right….he’s all tin foil hat, and he’s got the cattle that wear ’em too.   (more…)

Clinton’s obviously been chosen to put a fresh face on the 90’s good vibes, then peer straight into the camera and coo….”Hey baby, stick with Obama and things can be just the way they used to be.”  Yeah, old Bill must have been psychic when a while back he told Ted Kennedy, “A few years ago, this guy would have been carrying our bags.”  Because, that’s exactly what Obama will be doing tonight.

(Breitbart)…Rick Klein, Senior Washington Editor of ABC News, just tweeted out this photo of the stage the Democrat convention will be held on.  As you can see (below), Klein’s photo reveals the screens that will serve as the television backdrop behind whomever’s speaking — and it looks to me as though the Democrats intend to show an artificial sea of faces in order to make the convention hall look a whole lot fuller than it might be.

Treepers, this is a MUST LISTEN audio.  Dinesh D’Souza gave an NPR host named Guy Raz a 32 min. interview, one in which he laid out a most precise and concise deconstruction of the fallacy that is the Obama story.  This NPR interviewer exemplifies all that’s biased and over the top with today’s media, and he pulls every trick in the book trying to get under D’Souza’s skin.  Nonetheless, D’Souza remains calm and collected, handling him with flawless ease and expertise….most awesome.  😉

Hey….how about a little reality check.  Shouldn’t this be the new Obama Campaign 2012 poster?  In the understatement of the millennium,  Obama’s already agreed that in regards to the economy, we’re not “where we need to be”.  In fact, this has been the worst recession since the Great Depression.   We’ve got 46 million Americans now receiving food stamps, and more than one-third of the U.S. population receiving some form of welfare….but Mitt Romney’s supposed to make things worse?

I think it’s time we we start spreading this little quote around…

(Deadline.com)…Clint Eastwood will be speaking at the Republican Convention in Tampa on Thursday according to Fox News. The network’s website is reporting that a GOP source confirmed “that Eastwood is indeed the mystery speaker”. Thursday night’s line-up has a “To Be Announced” speaker scheduled ahead of Senator Marco Rubio and GOP Presidential nominee Mitt Romney himself. Eastwood’s name was floated earlier this week as the speaker along with former VP nominee Sarah Palin, Donald Trump and even a hologram of former President Ronald Reagan. No stranger to politics, Eastwood served as the Mayor of Carmel, California from 1986 to 1988. He supported John McCain in 2008 and endorsed Mitt Romney earlier this month at a Sun Valley fundraiser. “Now more than ever do we need Mitt Romney, I’m going to be voting for him,” the Oscar winner said as the GOP nominee stood next to him on August 4. If Eastwood is really heading to Tampa to speak Thursday evening, he’s going to have to get going soon. Deadline has learned that as of Wednesday afternoon, the actor/director was still at his home in Carmel. Eastwood’s latest film, Trouble With The Curve comes out on September 21, 2012.
