Many are saying “Trump coulda or shoulda” or “If Trump woulda” comments. What spare energy or priorities did you see him wasting at any point in this presidential term? Who do you want as president instead of Donald Trump? Are you supporting the MAGA/constitutional platform or tearing it down? Or weakening it by criticizing and undermining the president?
Every conservative person giving negative comments toward Donald Trump needs to do a quick and thorough self assessment of their own character, their own work ethic, their own commitment to this country and to this president. Ask yourself, what projects or activities am I doing myself that are bringing this country in line with the principles of our Creator and the constitution of this republic?
Let us quit worrying about our reputation and be like Marco Rubio — support the man and lay down your life daily alongside him — first for the Lord, then for this great Nation that God has blessed us with through the sacrifice of others.

President Trump’s paternal Grandparents were natives of Germany. His Grandmother, Elizabeth Christ Trump, was a remarkable woman herself as she led the family as a widow after her husband died at age 49.
My grandparents — who were second generation Americans from Germany living in Wisconsin — were shunned and attacked during WWII due to their German heritage.
When their oldest son, my uncle Bill who I never met, died in battle fighting for the United States, they were still mistreated.
Certain ethnicities seem to proclaim that only their forefathers suffered in bygone days, but I am pretty sure that no heritage has passed through time unscathed.

President Trump has just approved the execution by firing squad of jihadist terrorist, Nidal Malik Hasan, the former Army major who murdered in cold blood over a dozen unarmed Army solders and wounded 32 more at Fort Hood in 2009.
The historical record shows that a firing squad is far away the most humane and foolproof means of carrying out Capital Punishment, especially when compared to the botched ‘lethal’ injection method used on Christa Pike!
Because, as we all now know too well, if the needle delivering the toxic injection isn’t properly inserted into a vein, the result can be a maiming, not an execution!
There have been 64 documented cases of botched executions by lethal injection!
Death by electrocution has an even worse record of reliability, with 84 botched executions carried out between 1890 and 2010, which represents nearly 2% of all the electrocutions carried out, an astonishingly high and completely unacceptable number.
Even the staple of justice in the Old West, hanging, often left slender victims with muscular necks twisting in the wind for what must have seemed an agonizing eternity to the dying person…and the rope sometimes broke or the scaffold collapsed under the weight, which is doubtless why the documented number of botched hangings is 85, about the same number as electrocution.
But there is not a single documented case where a U.S. execution by firing squad, also known as fusillading, was not successfully carried out! It’s often been customary that one member of the firing squad is given a weapon loaded with a blank, so no one knows for sure if his was the kill shot.
With a robotic firing squad, the issue of personal guilt wouldn’t be a consideration but it’s doubtful that robots will be used in Hasan’s execution…and I suspect some of the soldiers assigned to that grisly duty won’t have a problem with looking the mass murderer of their comrades in the eye as they pull the triggers!

sorry, not clear. its takes one hour for the body to be dead dead from nitrogen execution.
The one hour time does NOT imply there is any pain. Quite the contrary. For nitrogen, a person basically goes to sleep. the nitrogen displaces all the oxygen in the blood. Without oxygen, the body will die, but first, the brain. And this happens rapidly, first the person goes unconscious. There is no pain, no screams, no nothing. It is perhaps the most humane way to execute someone.
and if you are naturally asking…how do we know there is no pain? well, that’s a fair point. We don’t know for certain, but we have some evidence of it. The heart does not go into shock, not any organs . There is no recovery triggers you normally see in trauma death. Ask any ER doctor or nurse about what I am talking about. The body basically goes into a fast degraded one way quiet and efficient stop to styx.
also noting: death by firing squad is most definitely not instantaneous. It really depends on the accuracy of the shot, with the most common target area being the center mass chest. Bleed out happens while the person is still conscious. Depressurizing the blood system is most certainly not pleasant. Which is kind of weird considering the death row inmate requested that method…for reasons that almost definitely were aimed at further delaying the execution.
What comes next is going to be interesting. Execute again? and using what method? Or will this become a numbing political football and demands for clemency. life sentence remains.

Let’s return for a moment to United Airlines Captain Ibrahim Mossallam, whom I wrote about in November 2023.
On October 7, as the Hamas attacks unfolded, Mossallam described what was happening as “a resistance by a brave people.” United removed him from service with pay while investigating. At the time, I condemned his words but stopped short of declaring him unfit to fly. I also said I would not want to fly with him.
He’s back in the air, but now more than ever, I would not want to fly with him.
No, I have no evidence that Mossallam would harm a passenger or attempt anything like the flydubai attack. But celebrating or excusing the premeditated slaughter of civilians raises questions about judgment that I cannot dismiss because someone is technically proficient at flying an airplane.
Passengers entrust pilots with their lives. I want to know that the person behind the cockpit door regards every one of those lives as worth protecting.
But there’s a problem with that position, isn’t there?
How widely are these sentiments held? In my earlier story, I raised that question about pilots in Turkey, the Middle East, and Northern Africa. I still worry that admiration for violence against Israelis may be far more prevalent than we care to admit and I have no answer for what to do about it.
Criticism of Israel, even fierce criticism, does not establish support for murdering Jews.
But there’s a difference between deliberately targeting civilians for murder and civilians dying in war when used as human shields…don’t try to compare the actions of Hamas and the actions of Israel.

A gallon in my neighborhood is around $4.29 and diesel is a little over $6. Not coming down here much, although last month I think the price was 4.35. Hochul can’t afford to suspend the gas taxes because NY is basically bankrupt and spending is not being lowered so taxes, fees, licensing etc. is all increasing and she’s still in green policies agenda mode anyway. Our electricity rates have risen so fast and it’s the delivery charges leading the way. The state gets a cut of this and the governor appoints the board who decides if the energy companies can increase rates.
NY is borrowing, taxing, scraping and stealing money to stay afloat and is extremely dependent on DC for help. I wish PTrump would cut the money train off to NY, but so far they still get their funds. Hochul is trying to get reelected and she’s desperately trying to keep apt of this under wraps until she does get elected. Blakkeman is running strong but the voting cheat has not been addressed here so he is unlikely to win unless an overwhelming amount of voters turn out for him.
Even if he does win, the state govt is nearly completely Democrat so republicans have little chance of influencing any policy but it would be huge if NY got another republican governor for a change. Hochul needs to go but she’s just a tool of the left, a prop, a dummy on the left’s knee who makes her mouth move.

Once President Trump signed the law the local gas stations changed the prices, raising them to match diesel.
Yesterday we paid $6.27 per gallon for home heating oil. No discounts, no lower costs, just jacking up what had been a lower priced diesel.

And they have so many other ways to rig the game. Funding activists via USAID. Funding activists via all that fraud on government programs. Billionaires ‘buying’ election officials. The way I look at it, Biden drove up prices so Dems could blame Trump for unaffordability.
Maybe, finally, we have run the crooks to ground. But I won’t hold my breath.

There’s only one way this trajectory is going and it’s not in the Democrat Party’s favour, they’ve run a status quo, low voltage campaign, that only works if there is little perceived difference between the parties, or more accurately, the only difference is political implementation. Their plan to exploit demographics and mass immigration relied on a long-term plan coming to fruition, however the current clowns have fumbled the ball with 20 yards to go, and their opposition are not the usual pushovers they’ve always competed against. I read a few years ago that dehydration is a huge killer when someone gets the plague.
What I read said that when someone has the plague it comes with bad diarrhea, and besides taking an antibiotic, the person must drink electrolites every two hours, day and night, while the diarrhea persists.
And sepsis is a huge concern, also, which often outruns any antibiotic given.

Heard on a news report if the plague infection is treated quickly it can be cured but if it is more than a few days before diagnosis then the meds don’t work and it’s 100% fatal. Not sure why this lab person wouldn’t have been treated immediately but there are a lot of missing pieces to this story.

Over all that may be true but as far as 18D goes it looks like they’re just as short as they were when I was in it back in the 80s when I would come in from an exercise with my own team and be sent out again with another team in my Company that didn’t have a medic.
The SF medic course is about the toughest in the Army academically.
I was an instructor in the longest portion of the training back in 1990-91 and attrition ran at 60%. These were guys that had already gone through selection and were deemed suitable for SF.
So recruiting is one number, but turning that number into SF qualified soldiers is another thing altogether as long as the standards remain as high as they should be.
And the attrition does not end once the soldier is qualified. It continues on the teams where they are on probation for their first year. There were four of us medics that graduated in my class of the SFQC that were assigned to teams in 10th SFG(A) then at Ft. Devens, MA. Before that first year was out there were only two of us. One had voluntarily terminated his SF status during the first Winter warfare training. The other, after chances on two different teams was found unsuitable and had his status involuntarily terminated.

In a 31-page opinion, Leibowitz concluded that a federal prohibition on noncitizen voting couldn’t support Cox’s prosecution, since the U.S. Constitution provides that states generally determine voter eligibility.

Base on News Stories the President is working BOTH angles to waive the Federal Taxes as well as the Red Dye Restrictions.

She arrives at Chi Phi around midnight. More drinks. Pretty soon she’s in that threesome in a bedroom. The frat boys are also pretty hammered. Things get even wilder. Four other frat boys enter the picture.
Jane makes a whole lot of statements to her friends and sorority sisters after the incident. Years ago…in my first job, in a southern burn unit, way early 80’s…we had one of his employees…who got injured…the story was that he the team at his studio, was forced into getting work done before he and Tammy Faye got back from an evangelical trip so that filming could be kept on schedule. Corners were reported to have been cut…there was a fire/explosion and the worker was injured…and ultimately died.
The patient’s wife was of the old tradition where the man of the house, took care of the finances..she did not know how to even write a check and did not know how to drive. He left behind two small children, as well….the social worker tried to get him down to the hospital for his worker and it took a lot of wrangling to make that happen…it was reported that he did not ‘have’ the time…the social worker made that happen, though. It was a heart breaking situation.
The patient had also told the doctors “I’m not going thru all that”…when treatment and recovery was explained to him. The will to live is a powerful emotion…the percentage and location of the burns, were survivable.

Reading those excerpts, they are disjointed enough to not really know what happened. Was the accident before, during, or after his trip? Was Bakker truly swamped or just a callous jerk? And why is this death relevant? The burns were survivable. Bakker, even if it was only because he was cajoled, did visit him. And there was an entire section about the wife not being ready to function, but not relevant to putting down Bakker.
Now there was a lot not in those excerpts that could be used to put down Bakker. How he used his Secretary. Why his wife isn’t named Tammy Faye.
And who was responsible for cutting the corners that caused the explosion? Or why the explosion was even possible? Accidents like this tend to come only after long practice of cutting many corners. That happens because bosses pressure workers into not taking time to do things right. But that is rarely put in writing. There is likely to be some intermediate boss upon who all the pressure is applied who then does or orders the wrong things. But those details probably were never brought to the big bosses. Stuff like that was likely kept from the overworked product (Bakker).
Who knows, maybe the people responsible for the pressure were also preventing Bakker from using any time to see his employee. Not that I want to provide him any excuses. (It is a really horrible feeling watching someone glom onto an excuse you suggested because it was better than any lie they made up.)
Lots of questions….I recall that Jim Baker was either ‘out of town’ or ‘out of the country’, I forget which…Baker had presented as an uncaring employer and an ‘uncaring jerk’…..and I believe it was his crew that pusehd for the work to be done…and the workers ‘do’ what their immediate boss says to do…

What I commented on regarding the employee, was from my personal observations and overhearing the social worker comments as she I think was involved with his PR people, regarding this issue. And yes, from my memory, he did eventually come and see his employee..and it took a lot of pressure from what I recall, to get him there.
I was also involved in the resuscitative attempts…this occured as the PTL club was gaining momentum, in the tele-evangalism realms…but before the gold toilets and bathroom fixtures became another issue.
Over all, it was a very sad situation.
I was not a fan of Baker or any other of the television preachers.
They were doing what most of the organized churches do today. It is all about the money.
My view was that he was sent to prison for what airlines do every day. Over-booking.
I considered it an open attack on Christians by the government.
To that I am agreed. Very sad. Each and every thing.
So too were the things I witnessed elsewhere. A person trying to repair, electrocuted himself. Huge pressure from all management levels to get equipment repaired in time to meet goals. Unofficial company suggestions to defeat safety protocols. Company was selling itself an important fuse at huge markup. Company ‘saved’ money by unsafe modification of fuse into open air fuse. Employee did not power down equipment before replacing unsafe blown fuse. Employee used uninsulated metal pliers to remove fuse while power on and holding the door open with other hand completing the circuit through his heart. Hospitalized, but recovered. OSHA came down hard. Company instituted new safety protocols. Some ridiculous and guaranteed to be unworkable. Huge pressure never let up. Employee was trained to operate safely, but pressure and savings and quasi condoned practices, bypassing safety interlocks, cheapskating fuses, put him in a very unsafe position.
OSHA looks for and usually finds quite a few of these unsafe practices combining when they have to investigate problems. But the big shots that set up the conditions rarely get blamed. They protect the company with nonsense to satisfy inspectors that they are doing something about it. And they continue doing the things that set up the bad conditions to happen.
I am a little jaded. I had tried to end those practices and ran into the mid level boss buzz saw. Almost ended up creating paperwork instructing to do these bad practices. Glad that hadn’t happened. The mid level bosses have no power to fix the problems but suffer all the pressure when things go wrong. And these unapproved solutions are believed to be how they keep things running. And they never want the problem to be taken up to higher bosses.
As I meditate…I think there was a push to finish varnishing a floor due to Mr. Bakker’s early return from where ever and that they used some sort of heater (unapproved? This was in the early 80’s), to hurry the process, which caused the problem.

Hate to say it but the scale you employed for the graphs is misleading, in that it fails to show prices being wagged up and down over time which keeps the prices of fuel bouncing up and down in a PRICE BAND.
The trend may be slightly down down but spikes up as headlines are needed and is as demonstrated by the up and down spikes on your very own graph.
The graphs aren’t “mine” – they are graphs by a financial company that shows the historical market prices that are up to date as of this morning when I did the screenshot – just like any other market graph, for example ones for stocks. The only thing I did was add the green line showing the downward trend. The scale is a linear scale that encompasses the price range over the period of time that the graph is for. The “wags up and down” in the graphs are quite apparent.

Not surprised. All those judges probably know Blackburn pretty well. This is the kind of case that recusal is for.
She was in the House during Obama and went to the Senate in 2019. So more clarity is needed to see if she supported or opposed those appointments.
She is from the Nashville suburbs and that judicial district is headquartered in Nashville. Not clear the overlap between her old House District west of Nashville and this judicial district which also has offices east and south of Nashville. But there is a chance that they do know each other even if she has been in D.C. since 2003.
Or maybe it has something to do with her running for governor. Maybe making sure they not entangle themselves in this, so that they are free to deal with whatever will come to their bench when she takes that office.
