Exposing enough details re the juror, would be tantamount to naming him outright. There are many that will be able to identify him. NBC needs to face serious consequences.

I live in MA, got called for jury duty in June for some scumbag who was raping his stepdaughter. I was sorely tempted to allow myself to be selected so I could see that the bastard went to jail, but for work reasons, I couldn’t do it, so I had to beg off. The judge only let me go because I said I had law enforcement in my family and I would give more weight to their testimony.
I don’t know what the jury would’ve said. He was an immigrant, so I could see idiots saying it wasn’t part of his cultures he didn’t know any better, yada yada.
Can’t Stand living here, but my kids know this as home and if I want to be near my grandkids (which I don’t have as of yet), I think I’m stuck here. Oh well, maybe it’s for the best. I can be the reasonable grandma telling them what’s right and wrong.

I haven’t followed this story, but have mixed feelings about it simply because I believe any mother who viciously murders her own children is basically insane, and then anyone who kills (especially) children is a murderer of the worst sort. Both things can be true and this doesn’t have to become and either/or dilemma. She should be found both guilty of criminal murder but also clearly insane as a mother who slaughtered her own children.
The end result: her being locked away for life without parole. No matter what transpires, she will spend the rest of her days in a living hell of her own making.

What is insane? This woman may evade some form of justice on earth, but she will not evade in heaven. From what I have read there was a lot of premeditation in this. Also as a nurse, she must have understood where she was at and just hand the kids over to a loving friend or relative for however long. I don’t go with insanity defense.
I understand what you are saying, but: I think there are many types and levels of being ‘insane’, some of which include being able to plan ahead and such. My view is simply that any mother who willfully murders her own children is, by definition, insane otherwise that word has little to no meaning.
This does not necessarily mean she should not suffer consequences for her actions – at least not in my book, although the legal statutes may have other guidelines. If in this context the legal definition of insanity is that one is so befuddled that one doesn’t know what one is doing, then probably she should not be so declared even though, again, any mother knowingly murdering her own child is probably in a very advanced state of deluded confusion (aka psychosis) dwelling in a living, nightmarish hell of which most of us have little experiential understanding.

Fair enough. It all depends on the definition of insanity which doubtless varies from context to context. In this case, presumably there is a fairly narrow legal definition related to the criminal charges this woman faces; they are not explained in the above article. I personally feel that a) she was-is clearly insane in any common sense meaning of the term and b) she should be held accountable for her actions according to her jurisdiction’s laws. The problem probably is that if someone is found legally ‘insane’ then the statutes will hold them as not being accountable for their actions and therefore not being eligible for any sort of punishment. Personally, I think this is not good law because, one way or another, all of us are accountable for our actions.

I’ve been called to serve on Jury Duty twice in my lifetime so far. Nothing close to deciding on a case like this. Still wondering what questions were asked of the people who were in the Jury. In my opinion , I believe they should have been asked “will you be willing to deliver a death sentence verdict?” If not, that potential juror ought to have been disqualified.

The Commandments forbid a SPECIFIC kind of ending another human’s life.
When Jesus addressed this in Matthew 5, Jesus links MURDER to the consistent devaluing and dehumanization of another human being, as is begun by the simple FEELING of being angry with another human being – either unjustly, with no reason, or even justly, but having no desire to forgive and accept the reconciling process due injured pride/ego.
MURDER is the premeditated taking of another’s life for a fabricated justification.
Jesus also later states unequivocally, “The standard you use to judge others with, shall be returned back to you”. I find it remarkable how many people rush out to use the Golden Rule “do not return evil for evil” into a manipulation of other human beings (especially Christians) into being doormats for toxicity, gaslighting, and all manner of dehumanizing talk…all the while forgetting Jesus has already forbade such ugliness as the very essence and root of MURDER.

In Missouri anyone can look up a person’s name on Casenet (and I assume every other state) to determine if the individual has cases against them, are they safe to hire, etc.
What I’m wondering is how did NBC get the guy’s name? The jury list is not released to the public, so someone who works in the Court system must have done something dirty. That individual needs to be in big trouble.

For what it’s worth, it was always my impression that the Commonwealth Attorneys, the prosecutors in this case, are “all in” on this result. They never aggressively sought a conviction before or during the trial. The NBC local news article says the list of jurors’ identities is “impounded”. Why haven’t the Commonwealth Attorneys sought injunctions and sanctions against all doxers? [pissst: “Their all in.”]
Here is an interesting thought: Can you now say you are afraid to be on a jury because you may be DOXXED if you are called to be on one?
