I don’t think she can be convicted. At least half of the population are putting the primary blame on the medical community and pharma (defective) psychotropics. Post covid, everybody paying attention can see the medical community is corrupt and few trust it anymore.
After the mistrial, I spend a few hours watching defense cross examine the medical people and her primary therapist. It was brutal for the prosecution in that it showed Clancy was trying to engage and get help and they didn’t help her. The doctors are clowns using medical AI and writing scrips for defective pharma products. Basically, there were enough warning signs and enough medical interactions that Clancy should have been involuntarily taken away from the children until she got better.

Actually I am now ashamed that I jumped in here to post an opinion without reading the NBC article first. The man is troubled and like the article stated – if he had filled the form out correctly he would not have been selected for jury duty. So one of several things happened. Either the juror wrote lies of omission on the form or he told the truth and nobody was paying attention or those entrusted with oversight wanted this result.

Also she doctor shopped quite a bit for some of these meds and from testimony she didn’t take some of these meds.

I believe Clancy is both guilty and insane. I believe she tried to get help to no avail. I believe she attempted suicide and lives with the permanent consequences.

All falls are dangerous. Statistically, 50% of all falls 25 feet or more are fatal. Falling off a small stepladder has sometimes proven fatal.
I had a bad fall in 1995, resulting in being airlifted to a level 1 trauma center, so I learned some of these things after the fact.
But, you were not trying to end your life. There are sure ways. She prepared for everything else. She was a nurse and knew a dull knife wouldn’t work. she could have used another method that was a sure thing.
Interesting but the point is she could have simply gotten into the tub and slashed her wrists and not relied on a chance that she would have serious painful injuries if she did not die, IF she really meant to kill herself. She was a nurse not an idiot.
I don’t know the exact statistic but many female suicide attempts fail, men usually do not fail. The thinking is that women weren’t serious about killing themselves, they were looking for attention.
And she certainly got that.
Women may also fail on their suicide attempts because they tend to use less lethal means to try to kill themselves than men do.

These jurors never listened to the evidence. I sat on four juries and I have never seen anything like this.
