Today, I concluded a deal to substantially lower the price of ground beef for working American families. As everyone knows, under President Biden, beef prices soared at their fastest rate and the American beef herd fell to its smallest size in modern history. As we work to rebuild this herd and help our ranchers, for the next 90 days, the United States will allow up to 300,000 metric tons of product for ground beef to be imported with no out of quota tariff. We have a commitment that this beef will be sold at 25 percent below current market prices. There are only a few slaughterhouse companies anymore and farmer/ranchers have no way to even get a few local packers together and process their own beef or pork. Poultry has some different rules.

Yep… I grew up on a small ranch in Texas… The meat processors make the big $$$… They sell the butchered beef to “Jobbers”, who tack on a profit and sell to “Distributors”, who tack on an additional profit and sell to the retail stores, who also tack on more profit for the final consumer (us) to have to pay…
What the Rancher is paid for his cattle is insignificant when compared to the final selling price of the beef after the middlemen tack on their additional profits…
Plus, the federal “government” stopped letting ranchers graze cattle on federal lands, causing Ranchers to have to graze herds on smaller acreages… That made ranchers use grazing land to grow hay to feed cattle due to the reduced grazing land…
Finally, the liberal “up-north” folks in the large blue cities, having no earthly idea of where the beef they were buying in the grocery stores came from, complained long and loud that cattle grazing was destroying the environment (remember, they even tried to pass law that cattle couldn’t fart) and our federal “government” passed more restrictive laws which further cut down grazing land, in order to pacify the libs…

Probably better to put out no interest loans to small farmers, to help with overhead fuel costs, repairs and grain costs when there isn’t enough grass and hay is stringy from drought conditions. My daughter is getting the short end of the stick when they give her rock bottom price for “fleshy” animals that have been hand-raised, basically in her backyard, not really, but you know what I mean. We need more fat on our cattle. This “no fat rule” is killing us. I don’t want to eat “foreign meat.” I want to eat USDA, raised on American farms.

market weight is ~ 1,050 – 1,200 pounds,
which translates to roughly 24 – 30 months of age for most beef breeds.

Tyson just shut down their entire beef processing plant here in SC. They said there is not enough beef in the market so they have to cut operations. If I recall correctly, there were a significant number of jobs lost.

However, Tyson is severely decreasing beef processing capacity because there is not enough beef in the pipeline to keep their plants running for the throughput for which they were designed.
No doubt part of this is their own fault for how producers have been squeezed over time.

Repeated mRNA COVID-19 Vaccination Drives Sustained IgG4 Shift
Tamás Pongrácz Department of Clinical Science of Karolinska Institutet and Danderyd Hospital in Stockholm, with adjunct professor Charlotte Thålin and an international team, reports a potentially important immune shift after repeated messenger RNA (mRNA) COVID-19 vaccination. Published in Scientific Reports, the longitudinal study followed 104 Swedish healthcare workers through as many as six mRNA vaccine doses and separately examined 18 vaccinated children in Singapore. Researchers found that repeated vaccination produced a sustained rise in spike-specific immunoglobulin G4 (IgG4), particularly among people who had never had SARS-CoV-2 infection before their first vaccination. Most notably, in a small subgroup of 41 infection-naïve, triple-vaccinated women, a higher proportion of IgG4 was associated with greater subsequent breakthrough-infection risk.
Six Doses Reveal an Immune Pattern
The investigators analyzed 831 longitudinal serum samples from 104 adults and 67 samples from 18 children using liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry. Adults were divided into “vaccination-first” participants without infection before vaccination and “infection-first” participants who had previously encountered SARS-CoV-2.
The difference was striking. Among vaccination-first adults, mean IgG4 reached roughly 11% after dose two and peaked at 26.8% after dose six. Some individuals developed IgG4 proportions exceeding 25%, reaching as high as 75%. Infection-first participants showed a substantially smaller shift, suggesting that the immune system’s first encounter with the SARS-CoV-2 spike—vaccination versus infection—may influence subsequent antibody programming.
Children showed a similar biological pattern after three doses, although the pediatric cohort was extremely small.
The Finding That Matters Most
IgG4 is unusual because it generally triggers less inflammatory Fc-mediated immune activity than subclasses such as IgG1. That does not automatically make IgG4 harmful; immune regulation can also prevent excessive inflammation.
But the clinical signal deserves attention. Among 41 vaccination-first participants who remained infection-naïve through their third dose, each standard-deviation increase in the proportion of IgG4 was associated with an 83% higher relative hazard of subsequent breakthrough infection (HR 1.83; 95% CI 1.07–3.17; p=0.028). Total IgG, IgG1 and absolute IgG4 levels were not significantly associated with infection risk.
That distinction matters: the study identifies an association, not proof that IgG4 caused infections.

Lazy people will not get off their butts and vote! It took literally 5 minutes to vote early in Lee County, Florida midterms and only 27% of registered voters voted. Sarasota County School Board (north of Lee Co.) is now dominated by democrat-communists because of this.. It was solid red last election. They did not send out sample ballots beforehand (for whatever reason I do not know), but me, because I am not a moron, went on the election website and copied down the candidates names.

I’d be pulling my kids out of the Sarasota public school system the day after the election. Florida has the best school voucher system in the country. My son is using it to send 3 of his kids to private Catholic school and 3 of his kids to be homeschooled. It should make the public schools more competitive, but the Sarasota new school board will test that.

Just heard on the radio that our “Governor” Katie Hobbs ( aka the Valley girl) is beating Andy Biggs in the latest poll by the Noble corporation whatever that is. Supposedly she is polling at 45% with Biggs at 35%.
These numbers are absurd. I have yet to meet anyone Republican or Democrat who likes Katie Hobbs. She is an embarrassment and everyone makes fun of her and our LBGTQ+ State of Arizona Attorney General.
Polling is propaganda and a way of trying to brand the candidates and persuade those who blow with the wind. It is so obvious.
Her cheating was obvious in 2020 when she was Sec. of State in charge of the election, and even more obvious when Kari Lake got more votes yet KH was installed as Governor in a ‘last minute come-from-behind “victory” reward in 2022.
As gov. she has vetoed every beneficial bill and engaged in money laundering/ fraud *allegedly* – actual investigations are ongoing about those.

Yes, the old days were great, but there wasn’t much interference because the DS knew they could wait out MAGA, remove its leader and any damage would be superficial. Now it’s different. “These samples are required to be sent to the FBI Laboratory Division (LD) for processing – we get around 50k a month. This literally solves crimes across the country, like unsolved homicides, mass shootings, sexual assaults, and other violent offenses.
“There had been a massive backlog at the FBI Lab for decades. On August 1, 2024, the pending DNA backlog for these samples was over 1.81 million, literally breaking federal statutory requirements. A typical example of institutionalized bureaucracy from prior leadership that left crimes across America unsolved.”
