Karoline has been a real leader in the White House, and has done a phenomenal job fighting for Justice, Liberty, and Freedom, since 2018, including our Historic Re-Election Campaign of 2024. Serving as the White House Press Secretary over the past year and a half has been the honor and adventure of a lifetime. I am incredibly grateful to President Trump for granting me so many extraordinary opportunities, such as working in the West Wing and spending countless hours in the Oval Office, flying around the world and meeting foreign leaders, and traveling across our beautiful country and meeting Americans from all walks of life.
Most of all, I am thankful to the President for entrusting me with the distinct privilege of speaking on his behalf at the White House podium. I have spoken with great pride about the many historic accomplishments of this Administration, and I have relished holding the liberal media accountable and ensuring the American people hear the truth about President Trump’s successes.
Being a mother and welcoming a new baby while working in one of the most demanding jobs in the world has been the most rewarding yet challenging season of my life, to say the least. The truth is since returning to the White House after the birth of my daughter, I have felt in my heart that I cannot be the best mom my two young children deserve while devoting the constant time, energy, and attention required of the White House Press Secretary — and that is why I have ultimately made the bittersweet decision to depart the White House and embark on a new chapter in my life.
President Trump has asked me to continue serving as a top advisor to him on the outside, and I will always remain a vocal advocate for MAGA and the Republican Party.
Our country is facing an existential threat from an increasingly extremist Democrat Party that seeks to destroy everything great about America, and I believe it is incumbent upon all of us who care about this country to fight back against that threat. My fight is entering a new phase, but it is far from over.
Thank you again to the President, the First Lady, and the entire Trump family for your kindness and generosity over the years. Thank you to our amazing Chief of Staff Susie Wiles for empowering me since the day she hired me on the campaign, and to the President’s cabinet, my staff, colleagues, and friends at the White House who work so hard on behalf of our nation. I saw her first on Steve Bannon’s War Room during the run up to President’s Trumps last campaign, before Butler. She was so uniquely gifted, I thought to myself, even then, that she wove a great press secretary. There won’t be another one like her.

It occurred to me, that way back in day, employers were very hesitant to hire women of child bearing age for this exact reason. However, I am still happy that women have the same opportunities as men in the workforce. I greatly admire Karoline leaving to care for her children – there is no higher calling. And I also greatly admired Tulsi for leaving to care for her husband. Life is short and priorities are important. I appreciate President Trump hiring capable women, and also supporting them when their families called them. It’s a perfect balance.

Mentioning her husband last (“And of course, thank you most especially….) and the American people last in an earlier paragraph (“meeting the American people of all walks of life “) is the normal and expected protocol in professional speech writing. First mentioned are the opportunities and people that were the most closely related to the topic of the speech which is the job she is exiting. Then the supporting roles of the job . The opportunities and people mentioned last are the climax and the most deeply important personally. Mentioning her husband first wouldn’t make sense in a farewell speech to exit a job. It would be weird to save the least important for the last and finish the speech with it. “And lastly, I’m grateful for the opportunity to fly around the world and meet foreign leaders.” Or “Lastly, thank you to the White House staff and colleagues.’ Rather than descending importance, you mention the most important opportunities and people related to the job, then the lesser important things in the middle and finish strongly with the most important personal opportunities and people last as the climax of the speech.
I would watch those briefings every day if Natalie was there! She’s a spitfire, knows her stuff (esp. on China) & has disdain for the MSM…all good qualifications for me!
Usually the most important issue is mentioned last because it is the one most likely to be remembered

Karoline was not on either plane, as she was still on maternity leave until July 16. The “decoy” happened on July 8. You are grumpy!
